    From day 1 - they were unprofessional. On first day Jason forgot to bring out cabinet, carpet and vinyl samples. They were two days late in starting work. They used unprofessional /unskilled people to do the work - the guy who did the painting was not qualified and we will have to get the painting redone. The same guy burst a pipe in downstairs bathroom and the plumber they got to fix the pipe did a lousy job. The carpet was laid wrong (pile going different directions so seams are not good); cut short in bedrooms so doesn't reach the baseboards, and a holes in stair carpet which he tried to hide with tufts of carpet. The same guy also fitted the vinyl in the bathroom which will have to be ripped up and replaced. They ripped up a carpet in one of the bedrooms - which they shouldn't have touched and left us with a concrete floor. The paintwork, drywall, carpet, vinyl has to be either corrected or completely redone. The owner (Robert Forbes) came out to our property and after inspecting the work, he shook my husband's hand and apologised and said "You shouldn't have had to experience this, I am going to go away and get it sorted". We told them we didn't want them back as they had had a month to sort things and failed miserably. Robert Forbes then put a lien on our property for the whole amount (approx $28,000) when he agreed at our property that some of the work wasn't done at all and other work needed to be revisited. If anyone is thinking of hiring Paul Davis Restoration of Orlando, you are welcome to come to our property and see how they have left it. Because of the lien and attorney fees we won't be able to get the work done until early next year.

    Found a water leak on the side of the kitchen island which was due to a installation defect since then from when the house construction was finished. found mold creeping out from the kitchen island to the carpet. Opened it up and found the drainage pipe leaking and was just remedied with a packing tape from probably way back when the original plumber installed the plumbing. Called another company linked to my insurance but was disappointed since they did not progress immediately. Called Servpro of Winter Haven after finding it on a website with good reviews. Was visited immediately and the following day had started immediately on the mold remediation. Had some issues with one of the cabinets during the finishing but was rectified immediately.

    Mark provided some of the best customer service I have had in 20 years. Mark went above and to help us. When a number of other companies were unable to solve the problem, Mark and his company, Microtech Air Quality Services, did! We called Microtech to find the source of some mold odors when three other companies could not identify it. Mark not only found a source of mold odors, but he also identified other potential future troubles by noting elevated moisture readings in some walls of the house. Prior to coming to our home, when my wife was worried about mold, Mark also invested almost an hour on the phone with her to help and then made the time to come to our house the next day (on a Saturday!). When Mark came to the house, not only did he run air quality tests in the house and use specialized instruments to measure the moisture readings in the rooms of concern, but also he asked me if I would like for him to check other rooms (at no additional charge—just because he wanted to be thorough). Mark then spent another 30 minutes looking for possible causes for elevated moisture readings in some walls and identified several possible causes.

    I called for help in detecting mold, and was called back reasonably quick with an appointment made as soon as possible.  The two gentlemen that came out for the inspection were here exactly when they said they would be and conducted themselves in a professional manner.  They explained everything they were doing and answered any questions I had immediately.  I didn't have to wait for them to finish what they were doing first.  They're inspection was impressive, they covered the whole structure.  I was called two days later with the results of the samples taken, after they received the breakdown from a lab.  It was explained in an easy to understand way, and a full inspection report with photos was emailed the next day.  I would not hesitate to recommend this company, and plan on using them again after I have corrective work done in the house to make sure it was done correctly.

    ServPro came out to assess the situation after a water leak from an upstairs unit caused damage to my condo. The supervisor and technicians were very professional and on time. They provided estimates for me and the insurance company, then scheduled the work to begin right away. Everything went as planned, even though it took several days to complete the work. Removing mold is a tricky process, requiring knowledgeable and experienced technicians. I recommend this team from ServPro (Landstreet Rd., Orlando, FL) and will call them if needed in the future.

    Expert Mold had a good rating, and even a recommendation from a neighbor, so I called Roger when we thought we might have an issue in a bath.  Due to our schedules, it took almost a week to get the appointment, for a Thursday morning at 9AM.  He said he'd call to let me know he was on his way.
    Thursday came.  I had rearranged my morning to be here, handling the usual (and unusual) tasks around the house and yard, waiting for Roger.  No Roger. 
    At 9:45 I notice a message on the machine that he had called an hour earlier (perhaps when I was out front.)  Now this message wasn't to tell me he was on his way, it was informing me that if I didn't call him back immediately, he wouldn't come at all.  Clearly HIS time was critical, but mine was worthless.  If the drive was too far I'd have appreciated knowing that earlier, when I could have just found a different company. 
    Needless to say, we had no meeting that morning, and after a subsequent phone call where I expressed my frustration at my wasted morning (and was called rude for doing so) we have not scheduled any work in the future, either.
    Perhaps this protects the trademan's time, but it has certainly wasted mine.  I said I would be here at a specified time, and here I was.  Roger isn't the first tradesman I've had this issue with, but it is always irritating, and disrespectful of the customer's time.  Off to find someone else.
