As I mentions above that was my initial visit and I would recommend him ( or any physician in their group to my friends. Toward the end ot November 2011 it was obvious that I was going to need knee replacement. I did not have a preference but since the Ortho doctors specialize in knee replacement , another in Hips and others in Back surgery I was referred to Dr. Parvataneni who was new to UF but had good experience. He also took his time with me, to explain what knee replacement would involve. He also reviewed the important aspects of what he expected as part of his particular practice. I work in this teaching hospital as a pediatric case manager and know that often the patient will see the Resident doctor initially. I was alway aware the Dr. Parvataneni was IN CHARGE ! I do not feel I was given any special care because I was a nurse but believe all of Ortho patients are treated well. Many of the staff were not aware I was a nurse and I didn't need to inform them of it. I belive all patients were treated well. My surgery was ingredible smooth from the very begining with the Anesthesia team. OR peronnel. nursing staff, and the Physical therapy staff. Dr. Parvataneni told me he has a team approach and it was obvious. All staff knew what he expected and there was little - and quot;let me ask Dr.Parvataneni what he wants to do about this.and quot; Since my surgery I have helped several other women that needed to have the same surgery . Two of them went on to transfere Orthopaedic care to UF and were pleased with their experience. UF Orthopaedic has excellent physicians, experienced and there for their patients. In response to the issue below - I work for Shands Hospital which is connected to University of Florida . I do not work for Orthopaedics or UF. I have gone to other physicians for different care and work have gone elsewhere if I throught the care would have been better.

My husband and I are very happy that we found Dr. Mansoor. He is a very nice and very caring doctor. My husband was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis a few months ago and it has been difficult for him to accept it. Dr. Mansoor was very supportive and gave him the extra attention and care he needed. We were very lucky that we found him and we will definitely recommend him to anyone who needs a rheumatologist!

The staff at The Institute was very friendly, thorough, and competent. My appointment went off without a hitch, Dr. Parr examined my elbow, reviewed X-rays, found nothing significant, and prescribed an anti-inflamatory medication that had my tendinitis under control within a few weeks. In addition, he gave me suggestions for exercises that can help prevent this ailment from recurring. Overall, my experience with Dr. Parr and the Orthopaedic Institute was excellent.

His office staff is super friendly and helpful. It can be hard to get in unless you have an emergency but once you are an established patient, it is much easier. This office has X-rays as well as MRI. Phyiscal therapy is located upstairs. Attached to an outpaient surgical center, this is one stop shopping. I can't say enough on how great this place is. All the drs there are great.

The doctor and the facility are good.  A lot of it probably depends on the doctor you get there and they are professional and know what they are doing.  There are responsive to my needs and if my wife has a problem she calls them and they get her in.  The facility, environment and staff friendliness is good.  They are friendly.  They are professional, quick and ready for you and they know I am coming and I don’t have to wait.  They manage our operation well.

Things went well. Cyst seems to have disappeared during surgery but some scar tissue was removed from area that also caused pain. The entire staff is just wonderful - very considerate, patient, and helpful. Definitely would go back if any more problems.

I have had wonderful luck. I was in an accident and called ahead just as I was going there. They took me in right away and arranged for x-rays and MRI. They found fractures that I had and were wonderful in the way that they took care of me right away. I also have gone to physical therapy there which I also think is excellent. The doctor I have been seeing is terrific; he is extremely pleasant and I see him within 10 to 15 minutes of the appointment. He tells me what I need to know and I always understand what he is saying. I am a lot better than I first was when I walked in the door. I will use them again in the future.

Included long rehab in physical therapy. Condition improved but pain persists due to arthritis that cannot be treated without knee replacement.

.They seemed very knowledgable. Dr Waters is the doctor I see there. He replaced a shoulder joint. He is very professional and has a great bed side manner. The whole operation is excellent they know your coming they get you all checked in and they really know what they are doing. They all know what they are doing they have a great communication with everyone.
