Jeff was able to get us a mortgage where other mortgage brokers failed.  He is knowledgeable, responsive, and hard working. My wife and I are real estate agents in SW Florida with over 30 years of experience. We highly recommend Jeff above any mortgage broker we have been acquainted with in the past.

Excellent, the main reason to use Jeff over the bank or any one else is that you are not a number with him. You will have access to him at all times directly...we closed a loan in Florida while we lived in Hawaii with him. Even though we had both, local banks, as well as Banks in Florida, the costs were all about the same, so you will not save anything by going to a bank..second, the service is night and day better going with Jeff and Expert Mortgage.

In the beginning, he called every few days to let me know of lenders with low rates, but we  may have to pay a few hundred dollars to settle, but since we would not  make a May mortgage payment, we would have enough money..  We agreed on a May settlement, 4.25% with a  $600.00 payment.  The day before settlement Leon called, We would need to have $3500.00!!!  How was he supposed to know about the year of escrowed homeowners insurance?   We signed more papers, a June settlement, still 4.25% and  since we had not made two  mortgage payments, we should have money for the settlement...Oh, wait, there is a problem with HUD, and Bank of America has sent foreclosure letters with the payoff statement,  and because we are not current on our mortgage now, Leon has to find a new lender, and it will cost more. We signed more papers, not sure how much this is going to cost now, but close to the amount we had discussed previously(?).  We made two mortgage payments, but Leon doesn't know about the escrowed money.  I had a heart attack,  and Leon is busy moving the office to a new building, and the underwriter wants more, different, bank statements, and it's too late now to schedule something for July, so just make another late mortgage payment, and we'll see about a settlement at the end of  August. THE END OF AUGUST! Surprise!!!   On August 1, 2014 Bank of America sold our mortgage  with the escrowed insurance.  Leon was still wanting to do something with that  escrowed money.  We  had a settlement on August 8, 2014 (or else!) and it only cost us $2672.17 and the new interest rate is only 4.95%, and our previously  "fair" credit rating  is now in the toilet..  It will take us YEARS to recover from this adventure into the "mortgage twilight zone" with Leon.

From the beginning of the process it was one mistake after another.  The first mistake was made when they charged me twice for the appraisal.  The appraisal was performed by one of their subsidiaries, a small piece of wood was broken, (the size of which was smaller than a hand), so I was told that I had to have it repaired if I wanted to close, then I was charged an additional $110.00 to check to make sure the repair was done.  Please keep in mind that the appraisal stated that it was purely COSMETIC.  The loan package was suppose to be provided to my closing agent (thank God I did not use one of their closers) the morning of the closing May 21,2014, but the package was not sent, not even prepared by noon.  I had to send an email to the Loan Officer Sam Un at 2:45 p.m. asking where the package was because Joanne, the closing coordinator would not return a call to the closing agent  or answer her phone.  Joanne was aware that I had an appointment to close at 3:00 p.m.. When she finally called back, she told the attorney's assistant that she did not have the package and that she tells people when to come. The package was not received until 3:45 p.m. on May 21,2014. The  law firm had to stay late to close my loan because they had other closing to conduct.  The final straw was that the funding for the loan did not come through during the normal business day (because this was re-fi there was a 3 day wait because of my right to rescind), the attorney's office spent an entire day speaking with individuals, supervisors etc. only to receive the run around.  The wire was not sent until 4:00 p.m., with the two hour delay for a wire transfer the money was not available to me until Wednesday, May 28, 2014. I was contacted by Kevin Taracea, SVP,Vendor Performance Manager, Home Loans Fulfillment, where he apologized for the way my loan was handled.  I was issued a $100.00 Target Gift Card and they refunded me the $110.00 for the additional fee for the appraisal.  I was warned by other people not to deal with this Bank, but since I had a mortgage with them for over 20 years and never had a problem, I did not heed their advice.  According the Kevin, the fact that this loan was not conducted in what I believe was a professional manner that I am not entitled to a refund/partial refund of the origination fee.  I believe that in order to earn that fee, the closing should have been handled in a professional manner not what I received.  I plan to refinance the loan with another lender and cut all ties with BOA.
