    Excellent. Carlos was on time and extremely professional. We felt he knew what he was talking about and he did not try to "sell" us anything. Just a good AC doctor! He gave us an excellent overview of what was going on, was able to detect the source of our problem as well as being proactive on the future by noticing details that could potentially present problems in the near future. He will also put us in touch with their contractor to perform additional work that was missing from the installation done by the previous company. We decided to give him/the company the yearly maintenance for both our AC units.

    I came home from vacation to find my AC not working at all. Olman took my call over the weekend and came on Sunday morning to check the unit. He determined I had to replace the entire compressor. By Monday, he had obtained a new until and worked all day to get it installed. Olman kept me informed along the way and discussed the costs and relative benefits of different models. He is very professional and returns phone calls right away, whether during or after work hours and on weekend. I can't recommend him enough. This is the second time I use CSR, and I will never use anyone else.

    *** Update 11/4/2015**** Trouble with this unit began about a year after the unit was installed. As detailed below, not only did Boyden sold us and installed a unit that was too big for our apartment, but they were negligent in the installation. The first sign of trouble was a leek that overflowed the water pan under the air handler (the installers left the original pan because the one for the unit did not fit in the space ) and they had not installed the water flow valve . By 11/2015 we noticed soot accumulating on the walls near the vents (we have photos to prove it) while the deteriorating air quality was causing my wife a respiratory adverse reaction. A few days later the AC stopped working altogether. We called Boyden to speak with the service manager and in repeated attempts were told he was not available and he never called us back. We called another authorized Lenox representative and they determined that because the unit was too large for the indoor space, condensation was leading to erosion and mold (we have photos of the condition they found). We spent $1,259 for the following work on the Air Handler (parts were under warranty):-Blower wheel cleaned and repaired,-Blower motor replaced,-Plenum sealed and rebuilt,-Flow switch installed (had been left out by Boyden),- RGF REME HVAC HALO 24V (had been left our by Boyden)Air Purification System Light installed. We than had the ducts cleaned at a cost of $264. The Lenox representative sent an AC consultant to determine if anything could be to minimize the future damage due to the oversized unit. The consultant found additional problems due to Boyden's negligence: Installers left hole of approx. 6" X 8" in sheet rock wall around the pipe that drains water from the unit to connect with the building's drain pipe inside the wall, which causes humid air from inside the walls to be sucked into the air intake of the AHandler. -The AHandler was not set at an even level, and tilting backwards, which causes water dripping into the water tray inside the unit to puddle at the opposite end of the draining pipe. The resulting permanent taccumulation of water on the tray causes unnecessary humidity, sedimentation, and eventual loss of depth and functionality of the tray. This, in turn, will result in water spillage to the area surrounding the unit, flooding and big lawsuits.

    The service turned out fine. I was told by the secretary that they had a large machine that would get rid of everything and when they came they brought a small machine and they said that is what was appropriate for my duct system. They said the large system could damage the duct system. They checked out the air conditioner and the ducts. They gave the suggestion to put an ultraviolet light in the air conditioner to kill off any mold before it got in the house. They did say they would take photos and I never received any of that. The service overall was good they just could have taken care of those two issues a little better. It was nice that they did the air conditioner check and they did not push cleaning it. They were very friendly to work with and I got the impression they were doing a good job. They were on time and professional.

    The work was done on a rental apartment we own.  I contacted the company on a Saturday morning and by that afternoon someone was out to assess the situation.  It was determined that the old unit was to far gone for repair and we decided to have a new one installed.  We asked for the work to be done ASAP because we had renters in the Apartment, and since we are in Miami the afternoon temperatures were in the 80's.  By Monday morning I was given a contract to sign and a permit was requested.  The work was completed on Tuesday.  It was effortless, and I couldn't be happier with their efficient and professional performance.
    This is the second time I have used Edd Helms to install a new air conditioner, both experiences have been positive.

    My old 4-ton A/C unit was not running well. I had it inspected by two other companies, which just said it needed to be replaced without providing other alternatives. |The Boyden people recommended changing the unit as well but they gave me cheaper alternatives to keep the old unit alive. They had no problem in losing the larger and easier replacement job. I ended up replacing it. They accommodated to do the job on a Sunday after Thanksgiving.  The price was very competitive. The professionals very clean, courteous and knowledgeable. I would hire them again.

    We got a second opinion.
    The second technician Santiago that came to our house from a non Angie's list company( otherwise he would get an A+) told us that he would not charge us for servicing the unit because it was in good shape. I need to mention now that the reason we called for service is because on of our 3 ton unit was freezing up on the second floor and leaking onto the floor below.
    Santiago told us the reason for the freezing is because there was a switch on the outside condenser that was getting stuck in the on position and continuing to push cold air into the inside unit where it would freeze because the fan was not blowing. He showed me the faulty part and explained the problem and showed me on the part where it would get stuck. He replaced the part, installed a metal pan to catch leaking ( just in case of future problems) and a float switch that turns of the unit if the pan fills with water.
    Total charge for the work $225!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    This is a most professional company. From their phone service, to the person sent to estimate the work needed, to the team (Van K., Tom and a third team member). Everything was done beautifully. We needed to change 2 AC/Heater units in our home. They gave us 3 options with clear explanations about the differences. They offered to perform the service the day after the estimate was given. They were punctual. The crew was very pleasant, professional, clean. They laid temporary carpets on the first floor, the stairs and the second floor area where the work needed to be done. They cleaned up after their work which was completed ahead of schedule. The units are flawless at this point (of course it is only a couple of days after installation!). I recommend them very highly.
