Im told the doctors are good at Bay Area Heart, which is why I made a new patient appointment for my elderly mother. However, the office staff is very poor. We thought we had an appointment, we even receive all the new patient forms, WITH THE APPOINTMENT DATE AND TIME CLEARLY INDICATED. However, when we showed up at the office, there was no one there and the door was locked. I called the office number on the paperwork and after a very long hold, I was told that we didnt have an appointment because all the appointments for that day at that location had been rescheduled. Apparently, all but ours. It is no small task for an elderly person, who lives in an assisted living facility, to get to an appointment. When I returned to work, because I had to leave work to meet my mother at this doctors office, I spoke to a colleague who said her husband also had issues with appointment with this cardiology group. We will not be rescheduling. I have already found a reputable cardiology group that takes better care of their patients. As Seinfeld says you can take the reservation, but you also need to hold the reservation.

Horrible...I saw Dr. Elisa Lynsky. She was the most uncaring physician I have ever seen in my 64 years. She insisted that my ears could not be feeling the way they were and was only interested in scheduling a hearing test for me. No matter how much pain I told her I was in she said she could not help me without a $250.00 hearing test. she was very cold. I left the office went to an urgent care....was given a prescription for an antibiotic and within 24 hours was out of pain and on the way to recovery.

Saw Dr. Howard Sharf.  He was excellent. Xrays and MRI were done right at the facility.  Dr Sharf was thorough and explained all the options.  DEcided upon Physical Therapy first along with Celebrex.  Did 10 sessions of Physical Therapy at their facility.  Tiffany and Debbie were terrific and I was much improved when I left.  Returned to see Charles (DR Sharf's PA).  Charles was knowledgeable, new what the options were and did a good job of painting picture of options in future. Was honest and thorough.  Took time to listen.  I would highly suggest Dr Sharf and team to anyone.
Billing and (new) online system is the pits.  Hard to get a statement, can't do most things like pay bill online. Office staff is rude, especially when trying to pay your bill or get a statement.  Receptionist has a poor attitude.

I got my consultation scheduled almost immediately. My husband took time off to go with me. The office itself is large and nice. The patient coordinator ended up doing the consult since the doctors were all in surgery or not there. I wasnt sure which procedure would be best but she was very competent and told me a tummy tuck would be best. She did take a look to make that determination. She got the estimate and asked about financing. The estimate was for less than I had expected at 6400 and she said if we got financing and were able to do the surgery in the next couple weeks since it was slow season for them she would bring it down to 6000. Well financing was approved and surgery was scheduled for a week and a half out. Got a call later that night that she had forgotten to tell me since I am over 40 I would need medical clearance from my general family doctor. Went in for my pre-op testing and the nurse that did them was very nice and personable. However here is where my rating for this facility starts to decline. She was going over details and told me I would come in the day after surgery for a post op appt. and that I would have drains and when the drainage was less then 30ml to call them since then it would be time to remove the drains. She wasnt successful in hitting a vein and advised me they were out of the butterfly needles which make it a little easier, so after about an hour and a half there for the ekg and photos etc I had to go to labcorp to have blood drawn. I was grateful that she didnt "fish" for a vein as many of them do. So that pre-op stuff was done on Friday. I got the bloodwork and ekg results on Monday to give to my dr for the medical clearance. On Tues I called mid day to confirm they got the clearance since my surgery was scheduled for first thing Wednesday morning. They said they hadnt received it yet so I called my doctors office who assured me it was faxed to them. I was able to go and pick up the note from them to take with me for surgery. Morning of surgery we got there they took me right back had me put on the paper gown and cap. However there was only one bootie and they just said to keep on my flip flops since they were out of booties. Hmmm... Out of medical supplies that you use on a daily basis, for the second time. I finally met doctor Howard Robinson who flew in from Miami that morning. He seemed very nice and he made his marks and asked if I had any questions. Answered the ones I had and then said I should lose about 5 pounds or so with the surgery. They had me walk back to the OR and then I was out like a light. My husband had left for work and they knew this and told him they would call him right after surgery so he would know everything was ok and come to pick me up. They called him sometime afterwords and told him I was in recovery and wondered how long it would be for him to get there. He told them about 1/2 hr and he said they seemed a little put out. I was just coming out of anesthesia and they got me up out of bed and into a wheelchair. It appears they have very limited recovery room area and they had another patient coming out and needed my bed. I dozed in the chair since the effects of anesthesia hadnt worn off yet. The doctor came out of the OR and was going to the desk and noticed me in the middle of the room and said "we got some good sized chunks off and I think you will be pleased". That was it. Nothing else. Actually none of the staff said anything until my husband was there and they wheeled me out to him. They gave us some post op paperwork and said my follow up appointment was made for a week away and that was it. I am now 2 days post op and yesterday had to call them since they filled out my work release paper but didnt give it to me and I am returning to work prior to my follow up appt. They didnt seem very personable on the phone and when I was asking some questions they seemed put out. I didnt have a followup the day after it was for a week after and they said that the drains wouldnt come out until at least then. Also I was originally told I would be able to take off the compression garment for a little bit each day and should do so to avoid complications with the incision site, however was told while being wheeled out not to take it off at all until at least the followup. I am a little disappointed with the bedside manner of the company and feel its more like an assembly line once you sign up. They were right there to process the financing and took my payment in full the day of consultation but then it was almost like they didnt want to be bothered with you. I must say from what I can tell so far the doctor did a good job. Of course there is swelling and bandages etc but I immediately noticed a difference. So hopefully I heal up nicely and quickly. I guess maybe I am a little old fashioned but when I spend 6000 dollars of my own money I want a little more bedside manner and maybe a followup call to make sure recovery at home is going well. Just a little sign that says they truly care about what they do and not just the money they make. However the waffle weave robe they sent me home in is very nice. As far as future use I would have to give it serious thoughts.

They were excellent. They always spend a lot of time. Many doctors just rush you and rush you, but these people spend a lot of time with you even to the point where she is there with you. She has an assistant that is always with her on the computer and looking things up. I think they are an excellent provider.

They are very caring. They do not stop looking. They have a lot of different things they do. They get to the bottom of the problem, which is the thing I like. The doctors will even call you at home on the weekends or evenings to check in on you.

SHE LISTENS!  She listens, and asks questions.  She gives you options, and she doesn't treat you like a child.  She is a young women with a family. She is very friendly, and keeps regular office hours.  Both my wife and I are completely satisfied with her. We will continue to see her in the future.

I have been seeing him for several years. He is very knowledgable and knows how to explain anything to his patients rather than explaining like you would to a doctor; he is able to explain it thoroughly as well. He will answer any and all questions you have! He is a young, knowledgable doctor and I would recommend him to anyone.

I have the best primary care doctor in the state of Florida. She's very thorough, she has all of the time in the world for you, and she's just a great doctor. She's kind, and everything you would want in a doctor.

He hasn’t cured me and he hasn’t hurt me either. His availability was good. The office environment was depressing. He was too punctual I guess. I’m thinking of changing my doctor. I would not use him in the future.
