For years me and my mom have struggled with renovating our town home. We have had people leave during projects, give us unreasonable estimates, or simply just not return our calls. My mom lives on her own since I am not always here throughout the year, and is also aging. Paul Schilf from FixitRus has absolutely restored my confidence in Florida contractors. He went above and beyond to personally communicate with my mom while she was working through his private cell phone. Patience is a virtue and he sure expressed his patience with her. I could not be happier with a service not just in this industry, but across all industries. We will 100% be hiring him again, and offering his services to anybody we know. I have also attached two pictures of the kitchen! Thank you Paul!

    Eddie's Home Repair
Eddie removed two walls of cabinets in my laundry room as well as a large utility sink/cabinet. He cut up the wood and carefully loaded my SUV so I could dispose of at the landfill (360lbs total!). Eddie impeccably reparied all the walls and prepared them for painting. He painted the laundry room, long hallway, family room and a bedroom as well as installed a ceiling fan on a slanted high ceiling. When he's finished with a job he previously had scheduled, he'll be back for sure to do more painting and other miscellaneous jobs I've been wanting to do but never had someone with such diverse skills. I truly appreciate his honesty in letting me know certain things I requested he said he'd refer me to the right professional. If you hire Eddie, you are in great hands.

Juan C. Moreno Home Renovations, LLC
Juan did a fantastic job. He was punctual every day and he was always available for questions and any concerns. He tiled 1200 ft., painted the whole house, remove the old popcorn ceiling, and painted all the living spaces including the doors. He or one of his crew was there every day. I highly recommend Juan because of his professionalism, punctuality, and attention to detail. It was a pleasure working with Juan and he will be our go to guy in the future for any additional work

    Mueller Construction Company
I cannot say enough great things about Jacob and his dad. They are a family business and did a fantastic job. I called them and the same day they came and gave me a thorough FREE estimate. They then came in less than 48 hours and completed the job. They showed up on time and finished the same day. The were friendly and more importantly professional and highly skilled. This was a fairly complex job and not a simple change out. They prepped the job to ensure no dust effected our home and cleaned up after the job. In fact they swept up our entire outside area leaving it cleaner than when they arrived. I am planning on using them again and will refer them to anyone I know that needs work done. In a place like South Florida that often lacks quality contractors, these guys were a delight to find. Highly recommended and 5 stars all the way.

    PTO Home Service & Repairs
Phil did a decent job with what was done and I would hire him again in a heartbeat. The only problem was that he was supposed to come back and do a few other things, but I never heard from him again. I called him and texted him, but never got a response.

    Holeman Inc
We called them at the end of August 2017, and a couple of days later we met with their salesman David. He was very professional and explained everything in detail. We were actually surprised about the cost, which we had estimated higher. Our house is not big, but still there was a lot of work to be done. We were told the permit could take up to 6 weeks, but they got the permit a lot faster than proposed. Our contract included: remove all rotted wood, replace up to 5 sheets of plywood for rotting (additional plywood at $100 each). Replace trim on corners, windows, and doors. Hardiwrap installed, and then of course installing the Hardie plank. We got estimates for just primed (painting, caulking, filling nail holes, done by others), which was $8,613 and ColorPlus option which was $10,711. ColorPlus is where the paint is already applied and baked to the boards and you pick a color beforehand, which is the option we picked. We picked Harris Cream for the siding, a lighter yellow, and Artic White for the trim. The job they did is worth every penny, we are so happy we saw the billboard. Our house probably went up $50,000 in value if not more (not that we are selling). We have peace of mind, and we don't have to look at that terrible rotted wood every time we went outside. We experienced nothing but professionalism every step of the way, from Andrew the job foreman, and Charlie and Jason that did the work. Thank you Holeman Inc. The pictures speak for themselves.

    Stevens Construction & Aluminum Inc
They've done a great job. He shows up when he says he's going to show up and does what he says he's going to do and that's that. That's what I like in a contractor. I know he was here in the summer because he was doing a little repair on that pergola that gives us fit. It requires maintenance. His price is the standard on major things.

When we purchased our new home, we called approximately 5 plumbers to give us a quote on moving the plumbing for our kitchen remodel. Frank was punctual, took notes, asked questions, and was the most professional of the bunch. He was a head and above the others when it came to thoroughness. We hired him - and he was on time, communicated throughout the entire process - and honest. There truly is no job too big or too small for him. We highly recommend. Great, reliable plumber - we will be our guy from now on.

    Longo Builders Incorporated
Jim replaced a shower door, a couple light fixtures and a ceiling fan. Then a few weeks later I had him come out to fix some things that other contractors had done. I mistakenly thought that it was a good idea to use Lowes to do some renovations. Their subcontractors did a poor job and left us with a broken door and huge gaps around our kitchen cabinets. Jim could easily have refused to fix other contractors work but didn't. He's a stand up guy that does great work at more than fair prices. I will absolutely use him again and would recommend him to anyone.

    Santos & Sons Services Inc.
The project was completed 2 weeks after the original agreed to date. When I originally met with Derick he promised to begin prepping the project on Friday, April 21st and have completed by the following Wednesday- April 26th. I completely understand that delays occur, but no communication was received from Santos and Sons until I was in route to the property that following Friday to clean it, meet with Stanley Steamer and take pictures. At that point I realized they had barely begun work! The following week I drove from Tequesta to Boca to find the project only 50% complete when it was AGAIN promised to be completed by the following Wednesday. That Saturday I again drove to Boca to check on progress and make final payment and was told they would be done in 10 minutes, but several of the items in our original contract had not even been started (replacing garbage disposal, cleaning windows, cleaning and resealing showers and pressure washing patio pavers). I was heading out of town that same day and was promised pictures of completed project so that I could officially list the property and pay the final contracted amount...I didn't receive those pictures until over a week and half after they were promised on May 19th. The project was originally promised April 26th and as of May 19th it was not completed, but Derrick wanted payment none the less. In addition, I received an invoice for an additional $463 above what was originally agreed to, and at no point were the cost of the additional items communicated....literally until the final bill came a week and a half after it was promised. Overall the quality of the work product that was performed was good, but several items on the list were never completed (cleaning showers and resealing and polishing bathroom marble counter top). Derrick was rude and condescending, trying to indicate that I was not able to pay, rather than taking responsibility for lack of completion, delays and poor communication. Once he realized I had sent final payment in full he back peddled and attempted to come back to finish his uncompleted work. At that point the property had already passed inspection and I did not feel comfortable allowing him into the property after how erratically he acted when I called him out for not completing the work that was requested. Obviously there are 2 sides to every story, but I would not recommend.
