    Villa's Construction & Remodeling Inc
I already had a very good idea of what I wanted accomplished and I showed John my notes and sketches when he showed up for the estimate. He took his time taking notes and we went over everything. Our second meeting at his office was spent fine tuning the plan and making sure everything I wanted could be done. A detailed contract was written up, gone over line by line and finalized. I must say that I have had other contractors before John walk through my place, look around for 5 minutes and throw out a number. Some lower than John and some higher. Others suggesting things that were not possible due to physical constraints of a condo. John however was quite different. Listening, taking notes, using his experience to explain and suggest. This made It much easier to get the final picture painted and come to an agreement. In the end John accomplished 100% of my vision. I am very satisfied with the quality of work and the price paid. I think its easy to fall into the trap of picking a contractor to get the work done quickly as it does interrupt your life for several months but I am very glad I came across John Villa and would recommend him.

Jason Lopiccolo Drywall & Spray Textures LLC
Jason and his crew worked tirelessly to refinish the ceilings in my house. This required several layers of mud work and patching sections. They worked through tough conditions 90+ degree heat to complete the job ahead of schedule. You can tell Jason takes get pride in his work and his crew shares his view. He went beyond the contracted scope by patching sections of the house that had been damaged during the floor tile demo. Jason is an honest guy, I had overestimated sq ft and Jason corrected my math which reduced his take home payment. A lot of folks would have taken the money and run, not Jason. Jason is a rare breed of honesty and craftsmanship. He stays in communication and delivers results. While he will patch drywall, he is a drywall finisher not a drywall hanger. I noticed some of the other reviewers are confused by this difference. I highly recommend Jason and his crew for your drywall finishing needs.

    Meltini Kitchen & Bath
It started off with a deposit of $7000.00 to order cabinets. another $5500.00 when the cabinets were delivered. when the cabinets came 4 of the 10 were the wrong size. one had to be modified and 3 reordered. the installation of the 6 remaining cabinets was installed by a person who had no experience. two days after he put them up they had to come down and moved. since holes were already made for sink pipes and electrical outlets they had to be repaired. the second person who came was able to fix most of the mistakes but could not fix the altered cabinet that was rubbing against the light fixture. Next came the plumber to install .the sink faucet and garbage disposal that were purchased by me as stated in the contract. the plumber thru out the warranty brochure and receipts for both faucet and garbage disposal. Next up was the glass backsplash tile and the mounting of the Microwave oven. three people came installed about half of the backsplash and ran out of tile. not wanting to leave they proceeded to reinstall the microwave. they drilled two holes thru the overhead cabinet that had to be patched by another fellow. the backsplash that was installed by these three people also had to be removed and the wall repaired. electrical outlets were done by someone of dubious abilities. 2 of the 4 outlets he installed dont work. sending emails to Meltini and not having phone calls returned Ive decided enough is enough. I did due diligence in hiring this company and looked at all there ratings on the BBB and Angies list. the only thing i can conclude is i Caught them on the way out. the part that bothers me the most is i had a shop in NYC that did architectural wood work and cabinet installations. the only thing i can advise the next customer of Meltini Kitchen and Bath is to keep this site and BBB on your computer cause this will be the only satisfaction you get because the repairs you have to make to your project will outweigh the monies for the final payment of the contract. I made the final payment, less $300.00 for scratching my stainless refrigerator. The kitchen does look ok but the aggravation it caused took any satisfaction away.

    Incredible company.
Dino, was my estimator and point man thought the project.  His bid was by far the most most cost conscientious, the quality of work was superb, and his whole team was professional and kind.
I would highly recommend them as they are a terrific all in one company that will exceed your expectations.

Provided estimate in March. Paid deposit. Many delays due to other contractor work on the house. They kept in touch throughout the delays. Finally painted over the last week. I was out of town most of the time, but my neighbor observed that they worked nonstop each day. The lines around the window and door trim were perfect. We did a walk around the house and the few tiny issues were fixed immediately. I had a little water damage in my kitchen and they added that on and made it perfect in 90 minutes. Two days after, a monster thunderstorm blasted my house like a firehouse. On the first floor a large water leak occurred above recently installed sliding glass doors, on the inside of the bedroom. It seemed liked too much of a coincidence, so I asked them to inspect their recent caulking. I was out of the country, and received this email: "Hey mike, just wanted to give you an update. We inspected the slider by your master bedroom on the 1st floor and as you said the caulking is fine. We then took it a step further, got up on a ladder and inspected the windows above the master bedroom and looked down and found extreme rotted wood which had deep holes going right through it and probably down to the master, which is more than likely how the water was getting in. The best way to permanently fix this problem is to get a carpenter to come out and replace the wood or even better have the window guy replace those two windows back there on the second floor. They were both rotted really bad. However we did the best we could by patching the rotted wood areas with Bondo and putting the elastomeric waterproofing patch on them. I hope this will prevent the water from coming in. I can't guaranty it though, because there is only so much we can do with patching something that really should be replaced but it's definitely worth a shot. I am curious to know if what we did worked or not so let me know after the storm what the situation Is. I appreciate it." They didn't have to do anything, but went above and beyond at no charge. That says it all about White Glove Painting.

Jess was easy to get a hold of initially and provided a detailed written estimate.  His worker, Helbert, was very professional, punctual, and courteous.  Helbert is a perfectionist and he was not done with his work until it was 100% correct.  We were so happy with their work that we had them come back at a later date to remove and replace several fans and to rehang closet doors after the tile in the home was replaced.
We will definitely be using them in the future.

Mike came by and looked at the job the day I called him. He sent an estimate that was very reasonable and estimated a week to do the work. He also included an Angie's List Discount. Mike's 3-man crew showed up on the dot Monday morning, carefully draped everything, and worked steadily each day until 4:45. They were warm, friendly gentlemen who were very responsive to every request. In the end, the home was sparkling with new paint and smooth walls. Mike final bill was right on budget, even though he did a few extra things for me. I couldn't have been more happy.

Jason Lopiccolo Drywall & Spray Textures LLC
We called Jason to do what we thought was a fairly straight forward job of removing popcorn and spraying knockdown texture.  It turned out to be a far more complicated process than we had initially planned for.  There were underlying problems that we weren't aware of and it required substantial drywall repair.  Jason and his crew were not only able to do the repairs, but they did a better job than we could have ever hoped for.  They don't simply scrape and spray the walls.  There is far more finishing required to do the best job possible.  Despite the additional work required to properly finish the job, Jason was able to rearrange his schedule to get it done in a very timely manner so our lives were minimally disrupted.  Anyone contemplating doing ceiling refinishing on your own, don't do it!!  Jason's prices are the best we could find and the results are beautiful!

Ralph came promptly and looked at the work I wanted done. Made some suggestions and promptly e mailed me a quote.
We scheduled the work. Ralph's crew showed up on time and did the entire job in four days start to finish. I can not say enough about how good of a job his crew did. The entire apartment looks like new.

What did Zach do?  Well at the high level he performed a mold test to confirm what I already suspected in the condo I bought out of repossession.  B that was just the start of what he did.
First he helped me re-negoiated my purchase offer with the bank which put a couple thousand dollars back in my pocket even after paying for his services.
Then he and his crew removed and disposed of old kitchen cabinets, carpet in a bedroom and the moldy drywall and wood behind the drywall. Then they ran filters and wiped down the whole unit to remove any other mold, had a third party retest and mold gone.

Then the extra value of doing business with Zach started to shine.  He arranged for drywall and painting contractors to put kitchen back in place for new cabinets/appliancs.  They detected a leaky pipe that was the root cause and arranged for a plumber to fix the situation (replaced some piping).
Zach essentially acted (without any extra pay) as the prime contractor to put the condo back together.   Given that I live 1000 miles away and could not be there all the time I leaned a lot on Zach who went above and beyond being "the mold guy".
I cannot express how much I value Zach's help fixing the mold issue and helping to arrange to put things back together.  He and the people he recommends probably won't win the low bids if that is the route you want to do but Zach and everybody he brought in on my project did high quality work, were super responsive and did it at a FAIR price if not the cheapest price.
I would not hesitate to use Zach again and give him nothing but the highest recommendation to anybody dealing with a mold issue.  He is honest and fair and I trust him completely.  What you want in a contractor.
