Door Installation reviews in Indian Rocks Beach

    Beacon Windows
To be honest, I was very nervous. My wife and I have owned this Indian Rocks Beach rental property for 4 years, and the cost of repairs and maintenance are generally much higher than we expected. Our unit is only 14 years old, so in general, things are functioning well. The triple slider that goes out to the balcony gets lots of use as you can imagine. The rollers and tracks are all still really good. The problem was one of the door frames and the locking mechanism failing causing guests to work the door hard, which created the problem with the frame. I've tried to do some repairs myself, but this is not my area of expertise. My wife found Beacon on the web and the reviews looked pretty promising. I called them on a Monday morning since our unit is empty this week, hoping they could get it scheduled. Liddell in Sales called me back and said he would schedule it for Wednesday morning when I could arrange to be at the unit. He walked me through all the standard services they would have to do, replacing the rollers, and track repairs, and so on. I could tell that they have their standard pitch and chances are, that I'd have to do much more than was probably necessary for the repairs necessary. His estimate was $1000 which scared me, but I was in a bind and need to get the door to close correctly. I arrived Wednesday morning at 8:45 and had a text from them that they were on the way. At 9 AM, right on schedule, three guys arrived and were very professional and polite. They went straight to work looking over the sliders and then we talked about what they found. He said the rollers are all in good shape and the tracks are fine as well. He would be happy to do the full service treatment, but in general the everything is in good shape and they would first focus on the one door frame that and the locking mechanism to see if they could get the real problem solved first. 30 Minutes later, the door was repaired, and the latch and lock is working perfectly. He explained that this would be just the service call and parts for repairs limiting the cost to just over $200. What a relief. They emailed me an invoice, and I called to talk to accounting and got it paid immediately. I will be getting them scheduled to come to our home next. We have 2 sets of sliders there that need the full service and I'm very confident hiring them after this great experience.

    Doors Crafter
I contracted with Don Ng of Doors Crafter in 2016 to supply 12 interior doors and 2 custom entrance doors for new residential construction. The custom entrance doors were delivered with a finish that would never harden. I've had to contract with another company to sand down those doors and re-finish. That amount was deducted from the final balance due Doors Crafter. We've now just noticed all the interior doors are all "bleeding" through the finish coat of paint due to the fact Doors Crafter didn't use the proper primer. All the interior doors have had to be re-sanded, primed with the proper product and re-painted. This now results in an additional cost of $3,000.00. My attorney has contacted Doors Crafter in an attempt to remedy this situation without filing suit, however Doors Crafter has ignored the correspondence. It's also come to my attention that Doors Crafter used 2 different types of glass in the entrance doors, some of the glass has been sand blasted while others are acid etched. Don Ng rarely will answer his phone or respond to texts or emails. His voice mail is generally full and cannot accept messages. The service Doors Crafter has supplied is abysmal at best. Dealing with this company has been extremely disappointing and would warn other consumers to steer clear. He now has an "F" rating on the Pinellas County BBB site (see reviews and complaints). He refused to answer inquiries from BBB. I recently sent him a copy of the BBB review to see how he would respond and his response was, "Still 3 months out on doors." This company should not be allowed to conduct business. Steer clear!!! Product_Or_Service: Interior doors + entrance doors (Show Less of Complaint) Desired Settlement Per comments above, my attorney offered to accept $2,000.00 vs. the $3,000.00 total cost to avoid litigation. I can forward my attorneys correspondence to your investigators. I would accept $2,000.00 for restitution.

Tim and Jamie were awesome! They started and finished the job within the estimated time frame and they showed up every day at 8 am when he said theyd be there. Tim lined up the subs required (a/c, plumbing, electrical) and kept the job on track. It wound up being more work than wed intended due to old termite damage but he never skipped a beat. In the end, he reframed the entire room, put up new drywall, added a pocket door, fixed an existing door, patched the ceiling, added baseboard and trim and laid tile. Very happy to have found a good contractor and well definitely use him again!

    Bozarth Contractors
Great product and good experience! I would definitely recommend Bozarth Contractors. As our home improvement projects come up, I typically search Angies List for contractors. On one of my searches to enclose my lanai, I came up with Bozarth Contractors in St. Petersburg for sunroom enclosures. Im so glad I found them! My first contact with Bozarth Contractors was with Austin Hendrickson, their residential window and door specialist who met with me to go over my project, give me suggestions and provide me with an estimate. He arrived promptly as scheduled. Austin was knowledgeable and professional. He asked the right questions and offered choices and solutions for completing my project. The meeting was not a pressured sales pitch, which would have totally turned me off. I felt it was an honest discussion on what Bozarth Contractors could do for me with regard to my project, my window and door solutions, and to go over their installation process. The estimate I received was fair and competitive. Each day of installation, Rich and Matt arrived promptly as scheduled. With Rich as the lead installer and with Matt assisting, I couldnt ask for a better team of professionals. They were polite and efficient. They approached every task with understanding, professionalism and good attention to detail. They worked with Chuck to find solutions as needed. Rich and Matt went above and beyond to make sure we were completely satisfied with the installation and their work. Bozarth Contractors is very fortunate to have them. It is obvious that Rich and Matt take pride in their work because the result is excellent. Amazingly it was only a 2-day installation. Austin, our project manager, and Chuck, the project supervisor came out to check on the progress and made sure there were no issues and that I was completely satisfied with the job. I would definitely do business with them again and would highly recommend them for sunroom enclosures without reservation.

    Armortech Windows & Doors Inc
If you would like an easy professional installation and to be treated with respect, Go To Another Company!!!' As this is not what you get when you use ArmorTech Windows and Doors, especially when dealing with its owner David Yount. These are the things that happened to us! Don't let it happen to you!! We had $20,000 worth of Windows and sliding doors installed. The window were promised to be installed on a certain day, they were not. The date changed 3 times. Finally, the installers arrived and while installing the windows broke my hurricane shutter. I asked the installer not to keep pushing the shutter up, he did it anyway- cost $598.00!! The sliding doors were also installed directly onto the concrete without any concern that floor tiles were going to be installed. Needless to say we did not have any room to install floor tiles. A direct result of installing the sliding doors on the concrete floor was that my new hurricane sliders leaked when it rained!! One day after a really bad rain I came home to a flood in my living room and bedroom!!! As I complained to the owner and told him I will not make another payment until he rectified the situation with the broke hurricane shutter, scratched doors, and water leaking into my condo, David Yount yelled and threaten me. He tried to bully me with a lien on my property if I did not pay All of what I owed him!! At this point the doors and windows were not even inspected yet, had some damage and were leaking!! It took him 6 months to finally rectify the situation after I hired a lawyer. This install has been a nightmare and David Yount is a bully and a liar who takes no responsibility for his incompetent installation team and poor workmanship!! He always manages to turn things back onto the consumer. I was just standing up for myself and refused to pay until all issues were corrected! Do not put yourself in this position as there are so many other respected companies who stand behind their work without yelling at their customers and without any problems!! Please view my review on the website or mobile website to see my pictures. In response to the Service Provider comment below: It's very typical of the owners to turn things back on the consumer. Please, see the pictures of the work done. Pictures do not lie. In addition, maybe he should get his facts straight before commenting about my contractors.

    Beacon Windows
First I called on the phone to get someone to give us a quote on 6 sliding glass door at my dads house.  The door locks and handles were corroded from the salt by being directly on the gulf. The doors seem to be opening and closing fine but appeared to be letting some air in also. I wanted a quote and an opinion on what could be done with the doors.
Lizette had me on the phone for more than an hour an hour explaining what they do for sliding glass doors and how I was suppose to watch there videos. What I couldn't imagine that she know what the problem was with these doors without someone coming out and looking. Seems to me that maybe some additional work maybe would be done that didn't need to be. I did however agree to set up an appointment to have them come out.
Two of their employees came out in a timely matter and started working away. One of the employees seemed to be the one in charge while the other was a helper. As they were working I noticed the helper was on his phone a lot texting or something. Not professional. They were there for over 3 hours. There were 4 doors on the outside were bolted in . When they started to do 2 of the doors he put in a silver clip on the top. The doors are black. When I asked he said they need to put the sliver clips on because they were stronger. The doors had a chain and pin on them originally that goes into the door for extra locking protection. After they worked on the doors these pins would not line up anymore. They left the pins and chains in just hanging there. After they left we noticed that in addition to bolting the doors with the clips above they also put in screws on the inside of the  outside doors. These screws did not look right. Imagine sitting on the your couch looking at screws on the side of your doors and wall.
So we called and got the worker to come back out and take the tacky looking screws out of the wall on the inside of the doors and remove the pins and caulk the holes.
The next day my step mother called and said that the doors were not even locking. She had called the worker many times and left numerous messages with no response from him.
I started calling also and left him messages. I call the main office number and explained the big problem of the doors not locking. The person on the other line said they would send someone out in a couple of days. That the guy that worked on the doors was sick.
This was not acceptable. Really not have doors to lock on the house of my elderly parents that live on the beach?
I demanded that someone come out today.
Another worker showed up that day and did an adjustment and got the doors to lock. While there I asked him why we had to have silver clips on the top of the doors when the doors were black. They stick out like a sore thumb. He told me there was really no reason why we could have clips to match the door. So he change them out. Also while inspecting the door I noticed that were the new locks went into the other door this area was very sharp and someone could cut their hand. He smoothed it out. Then looking again I noticed that the dark clips previously put in I saw that a screw was completely put in crooked. He pull the screws out and put the screws in straight.  Also he changed out the handles back to wood handles instead of black ones. Our choice. The black ones were very cheap looking.
I feel that their service is very expensive considering the problems we had.
I was recommended Beacon windows from another sliding glass door company that I had had previously at my townhouse.

I never got the estimate with the breakdown I requested.  I even took pictures and emailed to them.  If this is how poor they are at acquiring business, I can't imagine how poor their responsiveness with be for customer service.

    Griff's Contracting

As out of state owners it is always hard to find someone to do work on our condo.

Especially on a moments notice. Angie's list has been a godsend.

Al Griffin responded to my call even though the message did not go through.

Within minutes he understood our needs and assured us he could get the job done.

We will follow up with another review when the shower door is done.
