    He came and said the mother board was defective. He gave me a repair price and said apps 10-14 days for the part. I gave him a deposit of $ 313.00. So far almost four weeks have elapsed. One listed phone number (Customer service) has been disconnected. The main number when he answers he says it's not him. I'm afraid that I hitched my wagon to the wrong horse. The man borders on being an outright thief

    Reliable Appliance Repair
    I called shortly after 8:00 on a Monday morning. The technician was at my home within an hour and the problem repaired in less than an hour. The control board failed. It was a $200 part. The entire bill was just over $300. I thought it was reasonable and was very pleased with the service provided. I will use again and recommend to my friends.

    I had no problems at all. He charged me for the part and the labor. They were professional. They did an excellent job. They came when they said they were going to come. I absolutely had no problems. Prior to them doing any work they told me what they were going to do and how they were going to handle it. The gentleman who came out was wonderful. He was very sweet. He was a little short guy, young and wonderful. The gentleman that was with him was Hispanic and they did speak in Spanish but absolutely no issues whatsoever.

Jeff was a polite professional, and a workman who I was happy to have in my home.     Reliable Appliance Repair did an excellent job in responding to an emergency situation with our washer/dryer. We were moving in a couple of days and the W/D stop working. I emailed my request for service and got a call from Bernadette the next morning. She scheduled us for first thing the next day. Fearing a big bill and multi service call, as encountered with another appliance service, I was pleasantly surprised when the tech found only a loose cable and repaired it immediately. The cost was very reasonable and the service supreme.

    Local Appliance Repair of Westchester/Greenwich
    The first time Anthony came to diagnose and repair the machine, machine was not getting power due to faulty outlet.  He did, however, determine what part it needed and said he would order it.  I had an electrician come and replace wiring and install a new outlet.  Anthony returned with the part a few days later, installed it and said machine was working.  Electrician found it strange that Anthony could find the problem with the machine since it could not be turned on but we took Anthony's word for it.  A few days later the machine stopped working.  We called Anthony to return and when he did he said he found a new problem and installed another part.  And charged again.
    I am the landlord and he was servicing an appliance in one of my tenant's apartments.  I live 1,200 miles away and selected Anthony from Angie's List because I assumed I could trust him and he would be reliable.  In particular, I had one lengthy conversation on the phone with Anthony prior to one of his visits.  We specifically agreed that he was not to ask my tenant for payment.  He would contact me when all was working and I would immediately send him a check.  He ignored our agreement and asked the tenant to pay him as it was "too inconvenient for him to wait for my check".  She was unaware of our agreement and did pay him again.  This was when I began to lose faith in him.
    Within a few days the machine stopped working again.  Neither the washer or dryer worked, the machine was getting cold water rather than the hot it was set for, and tenant heard screws rattling around inside.  It was at this time that my tenant told me that when he left from the previous visit he had duct taped the exterior panels to the machine.  When I asked him about this he told me that the hooks or springs that hold the panels on were no longer working.  This machine had never been taken apart or repaired before and now it suddenly needs to be held together with duct tape???
    Anthony returned one more time since nothing was working and on this final visit informed us that the machine needed to be replaced.
    After spending several hundred dollars repairing it within a 3 week period, I had a lot of questions.  The machine was 8 years old.  I spoke to my electrician and then to two large appliance repair firms.  Sadly I learned that appliances today are not built the same way as they were in the good old days.  Apparently major appliances these days have a life expectancy of about 8 years, 10 if you're really lucky.  All the experts I spoke to told me that based upon the issues with the machine and it's age, a professional repairman should have immediately recommended it be replaced.
    Interestingly, just yesterday I had an appliance repairman here in Florida come to fix my refrigerator and I tried the story on him.  He stopped me at the machine being 8 years old and the cost of the repairs and said, forget it, buy a new one.
    I wrote to Anthony in mid-January and explained my anger and disappointment.  I asked for a refund and told him that he could have his parts back and/or the entire machine if he wanted it.  I requested a response within 10 days.  It's been 14 days and have not heard from him.  I am asking Angie's List to mediate and hopefully get a refund.

    He was wonderful. I called on a Wednesday and he was at my home on Thursday morning. He was very honest. Advised it would be an expensive fix and I was better off purchasing a new dishwasher. He charged me a very reasonable service call. I am very pleased and would call him again in the future.

    It was not fixed, water was still leaking. They have come out three times now and now the water damage has gone through the floor and damaged the ceiling in the room beneath. Therefore, I now have to repair the floor, wiring and ceiling. I called and spoke with Ron Weber, the owner of Mr Appliance, and his response to me was that I signed a disclaimer when the serviceman came to my house the first time, stating that they were not responsible for any damage done by the serviceman during their service call. In my last conversation with Ron Weber, he advised me to find someone else who could fix my refrigerator.
