  • there is no appointment necessary and it is first come first serve. If you do have an emergency call ahead of time and they will get you in right away. This is a good quick, in and out, bare minimum office. They did a great job of taking care of my dogs problem. I would/am bringing my dogs back to this office when they need something.

  • horrible they called said dogs were ready we told them as usual that we leave work at 7pm, they always wait but they did not and did not even call us back to let us know they would be closing. and we are only a few blocks away. we took our dogs there before for vet services but after am incident when they treated our dogs we had an emergency and took the dog to a vet and a specialist for an eye we discovered that they were treating dogs for false illnesses in order to get financial gain. so we stopped taking them there, but on occasions we took them there for a bath and cut only and we always specified it on their own documents
    one of the documents says that if they detect by visual any contagious disease that they will treat we said no our dogs are fine they take all their pills and shots elsewhere that we do not authorize that and placed it on their document in hand writing. but they disobeyed that and without any authorization. they not only treat and tested our dogs so they sy because when i asked for the proof they said they did not have any they throw it away that is very convenient and conniving. they also ignored our work hour and refused to wait when we got there to pick them up they were gone. and then our dogs had to stay there for no need, and then we got charged for a forced overnight stay. they are scammers.

  • It was as always a great experience with the Drs she was examined with great care and checked for problems that I had described i thought I she was having. Diagnosed her with possible sinus infection and dispensed antibiotics for her. explained I needed to have her teeth cleaned again that might be cause of the sinus problems. Dixie had developed a Auto Immune Disorder last year which they helped me with I needed a letter for the county and they wrote her a note to the county that vaccines were no longer recommended for her and to just buy the tag, the vet would froward letter stating why she could not have her shots to the County with the Tag information. I was told to return in two weeks after antibiotics to check to be sure the infection was cleared and at that time they would arrange to have her teeth cleaned The Veterinarian was pleasant and helpful. Dr Prozak has been our fur babies vet for 8 yrs now and would not go anywhere else, although another Vet saw Dixie today I thought she was wonderful

  • We had been taking our dog to them and they were always very good and very helpful. We had done lab work because this was an ongoing problem with him after he turned about 6. They are very good and very compassionate. You can also board your animal there as well. We even got a card from them a few days later signed by everyone in the office that they were going to miss our pet. It was really sweet.

  • The veterinarian is very nice, gentle and doesn't force to do anything. Usually they are very reasonably priced. I like Dr. Gilley's professionalism and the quality of his treatment. Most of the things are very reasonably priced.

  • It went fine.  I had called because I got their number through Angie's List.  Luckily this one was only about $600 for me to walk in the door.  I got an appointment that Sunday morning at 8 o'clock as my dog was very sick and my own vet wasn't available in the weekend.  Usually it costs about a $1000 to walk in but it turned out it cost me about $800 in total just for treating symptoms and not for curing or anything like that.  I don't understand how they get away with things so expensive on emergencies.  That’s my only comment that's negative about them but they were better than most as far as price.  They were good and they were there.  They are able to be reached twenty four hours a day and they seem to be a little less expensive than most emergency clinics.  For most of them when we walk in the door it's a $1000 and we have to give them before we do anything.  The vet had decided to keep her I don't know for how long and no one called me or discussed it with me.  I never know why the vet wanted to keep her but I let them know my concern about that.  The vet that been her all night the night before and had gone home at eight so a telephone call should have been made to me.  I will go back until I could find someone less expensive in the area but as far as quality they were good.  The only reason I give them any kind of minus is strictly because I thought the vet was somewhat negligent enough calling me.  He went home and he was not available to me at all.  He planned to keep the dog and I didn't intend to leave it with him without knowing more about it.  They could be better professionally and I didn't think they acted very professional.  I will use them unless I found someone else closer.  I would recommend them to people but I think they could improve.

  • Great for boarding, but that's all...First time wellness visit for my dog. Barely acknowledged by staff. Had to ask if I was supposed to check in. Taken in 20 minutes after scheduled appointment time, and then waited in the office for about 10 minutes before the Dr. (who never introduced herself) came in. The visit lasted maybe 5 minutes, and that included giving shots. No questions about dogs diet, lifestyle, etc. No checking of joints, etc. Just a recommendation to spend $250 to get his teeth cleaned. Will give them another try, but will also look for another provider.

  • My very ill pet had been declining for weeks, and apparently had a heart attack/stroke and was seizing.  It was very early in the AM, and Hollywood Animal Hospital is the nearest emergency vet center.  I took my animal in, explained what had been going on, and said it was time to put her out of her misery and let her die peacefully.  She was immediately rushed to the back, two minutes later a vet came out, I explained what was going on.  The vet ran to get things together in the back, brought my pet back into the room, and caringly put my pet down, talking to her the entire time, explaining to the pet (and me) what she was doing.   I have had many pets and I do a lot of pet rescue work; I have used Hollywood Animal Hospital as my emergency after hours vet for years.  I have always found the vets and staff to be caring, efficient and professional.  Hollywood Animal Hospital always has vets on hand, unlike a number of other emergency clinics who only staff with vet techs after hours.  Hollywood Animal Hospital also has specialist vets in just about every category, and do most x-rays and blood testing in-house, giving you quicker results and enabling them to treat your pet quicker.  Were they closer to my home (they are 15 miles away from my home), I would definitely use them as my regular vet.

  • They are fairly priced. The people that work there are courteous and they are very friendly. The doctor there is a very caring and open person. I could tell that she really loves animals. They probably are not the cheapest ones in town, but you get what you pay for. I definitely got my service. They are good about emailing me. I had to wait a little bit the first time. I have two dogs so it was not a problem. Both of our dogs go to them.

  • Terrible experience. STAY AWAY! Dr. PROSEK IS GONE!. The Dr was cold, heartless and did not communicate effectively with us. We are 20 yr+ customers and we did not recognize anyone in the place. They lost all of our pet records. They treated us like strangers. They don't display their regular hours anywhere in the office or on the website! They just take advantage of people coming home from work by commencing their emergency-room rates at 5:30 PM. They are greedy and taking advantage of the customer base built up by the previous owner [Dr Prosek].
