Pain Management Treatment reviews in Homestead

Upon my first visit, the doctor and I discussed my condition at length. He was very nice and chatty and said that there are options for pain medications that might be considered in the future. This was the only visit, out of 3, where I actually saw the doctor. When I had started with the doctor, I was on a morphine pain patch and Percocets for over two years. Due to, and with the doctors knowledge, I told him that I can no longer afford the patches, so I remained on the Percocets alone. After a month, my pain had increased and on my next visit, after explaining my increase in pain, and asking for an increase in Percocet quantity, I was refused any increase. The following day I called the doctor office to explain my frustration for not having my pain needs addressed by my pain management doctor. I then asked if the doctor could write me a prescription for my old pain patches that I have been using for two years and had great success with. The assistant said the doctor was out of town until the following Tuesday, and that she would talk to him and then call me back. That didn't happen, so I called back on Wednesday and got another promise of a call back, which again didn't happen. So I called again on Thursday and spoke to the assistant who told me the doctor didn't feel comfortable writing a script for my pain patch, and since my situation can not be corrected with procedures or surgeries, that I should find another pain management doctor. Now mind you, all of this, my condition, my being a poor candidate for surgery, was all discussed, and it turns out the doctor does not treat patients with chronic, permanent, debilitating pain, only the pain that he can do procedures on. This was a total waste off my time and money, don't waste yours. The doctor flat out lied to me and doesn't care at all about a patients level of pain or quality of life. He only cares about what he feels comfortable with doing, and flat out refused to write me a script for my pain patches, present or future. Useless for people with long term, chronic pain.

He wasn't particularly effective as the pain management. He's more into spiritual and psychological stuff I would say. He was expensive. He's professional and he's well to speak to.
