50% Cheaper Seven Golden Floors Installation
This is the second time hiring Seven Golden Floors. The workmanship and professionalism is A+. Previously used Seven Golden Floors to demo and install over a 1500 sq feet of travertine tile in kitchen, living room, dining area and bathrooms. Excellent work. Three of my other neighbors also used them to install the same. Once again workman ship is fantastic. I am currently having them estimate a total redo of our investman property master bath and entry bathroom.

    RUKO'S GENERAL CONTRACTING INC
UPDATE: Did not follow manufacturers and industry standards as far as jobsite examination, and surface preparation. (original thin set was not removed) Dissatisfied with the shoddy workmanship in the removal and installation of my tile floors leading to hollow sounding tiles (debonding of tiles) and lippage of tiles ( when one edge of a tile is higher than an adjacent tile) The conclusion of an licensed, independent building inspector was "the only way to fix this is, the new tile must be removed and replaced", which Elvin Ruko chose to ignore. Since Elvin Ruko chose to not replace the tile floors, which he admitted had an "installation issue" (hollow and lippage) or to compensate me the cost of this project $9097 so that I may hire a contractor of my choosing to redo my tile floors, I am prepared to take this further. Elvin Ruko says that I was "unfair, unreasonable, and trying to take advantage of his company". I disagree with his views and went into great detail in my original rebuttal. These facts were omitted as "member information removed". His accusations, innuendoes as well as total untruths were never substantiated.

Two men did remove the furniture in the rooms where they worked, removed the  old carpet and padding, and cleaned the
floor before installing the new pad and carpet.  The crew were very nice and worked steady until the work was completed.
This occurred all in a matter of 5-6 hours

    Yeager & Company Inc
    12/16/14 - Follow-up - Excellent Customer Service!!

The flooring I originally chose was a new product and untested by Yeager & Company. It turns out that it was poorly designed and the seams began to "unclick" and separate in the large expanse of flooring we had installed. (Our home is 2800 sq ft, and the new flooring was throughout the whole house except for bedrooms.) I was the only customer to select this particular product; chosen primarily for the light color. Only dark colors were available at the time in the more popular wood grain appearance product.

Jim Yeager responded immediately and made an appointment as soon as possible to inspect the floor. He assessed the problem and stated that the flooring was failing due to a badly designed interlocking system and needed to be completely replaced. The intent was for the manufacturer honor their warranty, but that was a secondary consideration to Jim. He stated that he would replace the floor under his own warranty, whether the manufacturer covered it or not.

The next step was a third party inspection to corroborate Jim's findings, which he quickly arranged with an certified inspector. Jim had me come to his store to select any other flooring from that manufacturer, preferably from the wood grained appearance line which has a more secure interlocking system than the failed product. This product has been installed in many other homes without problems and was the product that sold me on LVT flooring in the first place. I would have gotten it at the beginning but I needed a lighter color for my dimly light house. Fortunately, new colors had recently been released and I found a beautiful product for my home.

The new flooring was installed on Friday, December 5, and installed on Monday, December 8. The installers came at 8:00 AM and by 3:00 PM they were saying goodbye to leave us with the absolutely beautiful new floor. We are so happy with the gorgeous appearance of the floor and with the friendly professionalism of Chris and the installation crew.

I was really impressed by the fact that Jim made sure that the old flooring didn't just go into a landfill. The flooring went to Habitat for Humanity; smaller installations are likely to be more successful.

Yeager & Company rates my highest recommendation. I've shown my neighbors my new floor, with a hearty recommendation to use Yeager as their vendor. Jim is dedicated to customer satisfaction, and completely stands behind his products and his work. I'm so happy that we found Yeager & Company; it is refreshing to find a company that truly embodies customer service and satisfaction.

    Original report:
Jim Yeager came to the house to see the potential installation and to show the product he recommended to cover the terrifyingly slippery tile floors throughout the house. We wanted a floor with a little traction to provide safe footing, but that is easy to clean, attractive, long wearing and was produced using green manufacturing processes. The product he recommended fit all of these criteria, with the added benefits of being waterproof and reasonably priced for our four room and hallway installation.
I felt comfortable with Jim immediately, especially since his company is so highly rated on Angie's List. He didn't try to sell me anything. He simply presented his product and his company, gave me an estimate and asked me to call if we decided to go ahead with the work. It was clear that he was interested in my business, but that he was confident in his reputation and his ability to provide the service to back it up.
Since we felt that the estimate he provided was fair, we didn't shop him. We felt that since he recommended the product, which I hadn't heard of despite doing quite a bit of research in flooring options, he deserved the business should we decide to take his recommendation.
We decided to move forward, and the process began, first ordering the materials, then setting the date and installation. Everything went smoothly. There were questions along the way, as there always are. They were handled promptly and efficiently.
Part of our installation included removing a damaged parquet floor. When the workers tried to remove the wood, they found that it had been glued within an inch of its life - parquet is supposed to float, not be glued down. It splintered as the workers tried to scrape it up, leaving the globs of ancient adhesive stuck to the floor. Come to find out, another benefit of this product is that the manufacturer warranties installation over even wooden floors. The workers concentrated on removing the damaged areas and left the solidly stuck parquet tiles as a base for the new LVT installation. The gaps where the wood was removed were filled with cork.
The work was finished, the moldings set and the floor is gorgeous and best of all, it is not slippery, even with water. We feel so much safer, and the house looks so much better with a single contiguous floor throughout rather than the weird arrangement of ceramic tile with parquet in the dining room. The only issue we had is that three of the areas where the parquet was removed are high traffic areas and there is a bit of an additional "bounce" in the floor. I was concerned about the possible breakdown of the supporting cork in those areas compared to the rest of the floor, and talked to Jim about it after the installation had been complete for a few days. Jim gave me the following guarantee in email:
"Thank you for your business. Just a note to tell you our work is warrantied for life or as long as I have blood flowing through my veins. The cork used to fill the voids where the parquet was removed will not break down if it every causes any issue we will be there to remedy without question."
We're still considering the bouncy parts of the floor; we may decide that we want to have them changed. If so, I am confident that Jim will follow through on his promise.

    Bast Floors & Staircases
Bast was the highest bid of three bids that we received from reputable flooring companies.  We selected Bast because of the demonstrated knowledge and approach to the job that was communicated by Chris Newcom, their sales representative.  He also gave us a good understanding of the process and our responsibilities.
The office staff communication and coordination was outstanding through the entire repair and re-finish process, which took about six weeks.
The refinishing team, led by Rob and Dave, was extremely professional and attentive to detail.   After sanding commenced, the team worked 7 days a week to minimize the time that we had to vacate our home.  The final result is a beautiful floor that should last for many years.
We strongly recommend Bast for any wood flooring replacement or installation.  Their work was phenomenal!

    Clegg Group LLC
I was not familiar with flooring, so I did not realize that they did not even miter the corners, he filled them in with colored glue. It looks awful!!!    He did not replace all of the sub flooring that he said he would.  Since then I had have new sub floor replaced that was not completed by them.  I also could see around the edge of my sub flooring and see outdoors!!! (I had cable installed and they found this) they did not put the floor flush against the wall, only my rug was covering it.  This was in two rooms.  They filled in  the entire gap (along one) with a spray that hardens.  We had words and I will never use them again, of course!!!!!

    Yeager & Company Inc
From the first steps into their showroom, through the installation process, Yeager exceeded my expectations.   They were extremely timely and prompt in obtaining a quote for services, the installation process was the cleanest and neatest i have ever experienced.  They laid carpet in a stairway, upstairs and two downstairs bedrooms over two different dates.  I wasn't able to be home the second time, but they left everything as clean as they found it. Installation was perfect.
I am planning on several rooms of wood and tile later this year and will entrust the job to Yeager.  I wouldn't consider anyone else.
