Beyond excellent!!!!!! Rod is very detail oriented and saw things I would never see in our home and I listened to him every step of the way. We were away for a couple months while they renovated and left our home ready for us. Complete kitchen, porcelain tile installation, popcorn removal, woodwork, electrical upgrades, interior paint, and a bar project. So happy my husband is happy. Now Im happy! Love our contractor! I wish I had another house that Black Gold could do!!!!

The original workmanship seemed good, but there were items not completed and some of the laminate broke off. We paid top dollar and called him repeatedly about missing doorknobs and other problems. He made many appointments to come over, but NEVER showed up. Once he was paid, he was totally unresponsive. I would strongly suggest not doing business with him if you expect any follow up service. We waited for him about five times and not only did he not show up, he didn't even give us the courtesy of a phone call. Poor excuse for a business man.

ECC is fantastic. When we set out to do the project, they were by far the best price point and we couldn't be happier with the quality of work that was done. Everything turned out beautiful. As the project progressed, we decided to add more to it, including a new kitchen, which is a pretty big add-on. Without hesitation, they worked to give us everything we wanted. Their crew and sub-contractors are awesome - so friendly and amazing at what they do... especially Ivan, who did our kitchen. You'll never find anyone better (or nicer). Mike and his dad, Ed, know what they're doing... they're honest, trustworthy, reliable, and will make sure the job is done right. We are using them again for another project right now and will continue to use them for any future projects.

The quote I got was the most thorough and fair. It was so complete that it left nothing unclear as to who paid for what. The employees who came to do the work were all extremely knowledgeable and were able to get past all the issues that came up along the way. They did impeccable work and left my house spotless and in perfect order like they found it. Would definitely hire again!

I would RUN as fast as I could from this contractor. They talk a great game but use the cheapest  subs they can find whether qualified or not. We had a revolving door of subs enter our home thinking they were there to work only to find out they were pricing the job and if not cheap enough left and were never seen again - this has been going on for 5 months now. We gave this contractor an empty apartment and still could not get work completed. Zero project management, they asked my wife to talk to/manage the unqualified subs. Some specific examples (and I have photos as well to back up everything I state):
    1) Painted walls but there are bubbles all over the walls probably due to no or poor primer. Paint dripped on floor, kitchen cabinets, vanity, stairs, etc. They did not cover anything as this contractor has NO regard whatsoever for your personal belongings.
    2) We ordered brand new and expensive vanities that we told this contractor over and over again (they did not care). The vanities were wrapped and well protected when they arrived, so what did they do? They unpacked the vanity sat it on the floor of the bathroom and then proceeded to do mud work and sanding above the now unprotected vanity and got mud and dust all over it. They also chipped a corner (as I said I have photos in case you still would even remotely consider them after ready this). Then after this they patched the wall the vanity was to be installed on (very rough, still needed to be sanded and painted) but instead of finishing the wall installed the vanity over the unfinished wall and need to either de-install the vanity or ruin it by trying to finish the wall around it.
We have endured nothing but stress and aggravation for 5 months now and not a single bathroom is complete. This should have been at most a 1 month job. Our neighbor redid his entire condo including replacing the windows with hurricane windows in half the time and at a much higher quality. I have completed well over $1M in renovations on multiple homes I have lived in throughout the years using may subs but I have never had an experience as bad as this. They are totally inept, unqualified, and in my opinion should not have a license to remodel anything.
I would happily speak to anyone considering this contractor and back up everything with photos to support what I am saying. The two owners (John and Vinnie) are nice enough but are not straight and try to blame everything on Florida having very bad sub trades. I am sure that may be the case in some instances but I have used other subs in Florida for other things (doors, closets, etc.) and the work has been beautiful. My neighbor had a beautiful renovation done. The issue is not Florida, it is All County.
I cannot say this strongly enough, if you value your possessions and want even an average job done, DO NOT hire this contractor. I do not want anyone to have to go through what we have been going through.

We had been searching for a reputable contractor in our area literally for months.  We ran into scammers and inexperienced contractors until we were referred to JMC Contractors by a vendor.  Immediately upon meeting with Joel, we knew we had found what we had been looking for. A stand up, honest professional with all the knowledge necessary to get our renovation completed with quality work and in a timely manner.
Joel listened to our plan and intermingled his vision and together, we designed a plan.  JMC Contractors handled the permitting process and took care of filing the proper documents with authorities.  Once the work began, JMC was always on time and performed quality work.  The crew kept the job site neat and clean and we had full confidence that they were capable of tackling any issues that arose.  Once completed, JMC went over exactly what was done and answered all of our questions.  We are absolutely thrilled with the outcome!
Joel and JMC Contractors are trustworthy professionals who are passionate craftsmen. We highly recommend JMC Contractors!

I?m torn. I want to give a higher rating, but the customer service or lack of it is what keeps this rating so low.
Let?s start with the positive. The cabinets are great, good quality and a great price (we checked Lowes, Ikea and even online wholesalers- nothing came close). I love the look and feel of them. But let?s all get real, Lundy and her team didn?t make the cabinets. They just sell them.
I have waited a while to write this for several reasons. One, I needed to cool down. I didn?t want to write an angry review. Two, I?ve been waiting on Lundy to do the right thing and fix some issues.
Our contractor warned us about Lundy, he said that her prices are great but make sure you double check her work when she is choosing the cabinets. She made a few small errors. And with cabinets, 24 inches isn?t the same as 22 inches. Remember in middle school and our math teacher would say ?close doesn?t count?? This is exactly what she meant. But we caught the mistakes early so no big deal.
I will say, Lundy sat with us for almost 2 hours helping us design and perfect our kitchen. I wanted uplift cabinets to hide my microwave in it. She didn?t understand. Took us a while to get her to realize what I wanted. Tip- bring lots of pics of what you want.
Things didn?t go south until our cabinets were delivered. When we found scratches and chips in the cabinets, we were told ?they aren?t a big deal? ALL cabinets come with a little scratch?. Really? ALL cabinets come with scratches and chipped? Come on? Where was a big scratch on the front of a drawer. I was told ?it?s ok, I turn the drawer upside down- you can?t see it?. I wish I took a picture of the look on my face when the installer said this to me. I thought I was on an episode of P***?d or Boiling Points. Is this guy serious? I spent thousands of dollars and you think an acceptable resolution is to turn the drawer upside down so the scratch isn?t as noticeable? I told him to take it back. He finally agreed.
On 2 cabinets, the edging was peeling up and chipped. We were told that they were going to remove the edging and replace it when they came to install the handles. Once the installer arrived. He laughed? Yes, you read correctly. He laughed and said ?its ok? cause the countertop will cover it?. Here?s the thing? I didn?t pay for damaged cabinets or used, I bought new cabinets. I expect new cabinets. Am I asking for too much? He said he would use super glue to fix it and a white wax to fill in the chipped parts. My concern is that if the edge is peeling now, if moister get in it will peel even more. When
I called Lundy to express that I was upset, she never apologized, never tried to find a resolution. In fact she blamed our contractor. She then hung up on me. What kind of customer service is that?
This is where it gets good? Lundy?s installer installed our pullout drawers. One didn?t work, he tried to argue with me that it?s ok.
Finally he fixed it. Then I noticed that one pullout drawer didn?t match the others. All were white, but one had natural wood mounting sides. I pointed this out to him and again, he laughed. He said ?it?s ok, but you have soft close?. I
know I have soft close because I ordered soft close. He then argued with me that the drawer came like that from the manufacturer. I said, ?I get it, but someone made a mistake. But I want them all to match. Fix it.? After about 10
minutes of going back and forth, he finally agreed to get me a new one.
Getting something like this fixed shouldn?t be such a big argument.
After he left I noticed that one of the handles was crooked. After an hour of a text war (like middle school children), sending pictures and asking her to replace the one cabinet front- she agreed. Only later to tell my husband that they will find a way to fix it instead of replacing it. I don?t want to drill a new hole in the cabinet and then putty over it. It?s their mistake. Again, no sorry.
I?m waiting on Lundy to agree to replace (not re-drill a
    hole) in the cabinet door.
Despite all of this, our kitchen looks great. We have had friends who have used them and never had issues like this. But they were flipping a house, so maybe they weren?t as picky about scratches and crooked handles.
Lundy does have someone who works for her that is really nice and helpful. Unfortunately, she doesn?t let this employee handle or make any important decisions.
Lundy you need to learn to communicate better, respond in a timely fashion and work on your customer service. You have a great product- too bad you have such a bad attitude.
** Update--- I wrote this on a Friday. I waited until Monday to see if her installer would show. For the second time, she has cancelled on us.

We will like to thank Rod, Shessica and their entire team for all the hard work and commitment to the success of our 'little' home renovation project: removing popcorn ceiling in the entire house, replacing tile in the first floor, swapping carpet with hardwood floor in second floor, remodeling 3 bathrooms, relocating washer and drier, preparation for kitchen renovation and finally complete interior painting of the house.

The project was delivered on time and Rod made sure that any outstanding items we pointed out were properly addressed in the week following the project's conclusion.

Timely communication (including email updates) was present throughout the entire project; Rod and Shessica were also very responsive to any questions and comments we had.

At the beginning of the renovation, we received a detailed project plan with the information and durations of all the activities included in the project; all the changes to the scope of the project were promptly and throughly documented and sent to us for approval.
