Hardwood Flooring reviews in Highland Beach

We will like to thank Rod, Shessica and their entire team for all the hard work and commitment to the success of our 'little' home renovation project: removing popcorn ceiling in the entire house, replacing tile in the first floor, swapping carpet with hardwood floor in second floor, remodeling 3 bathrooms, relocating washer and drier, preparation for kitchen renovation and finally complete interior painting of the house.

The project was delivered on time and Rod made sure that any outstanding items we pointed out were properly addressed in the week following the project's conclusion.

Timely communication (including email updates) was present throughout the entire project; Rod and Shessica were also very responsive to any questions and comments we had.

At the beginning of the renovation, we received a detailed project plan with the information and durations of all the activities included in the project; all the changes to the scope of the project were promptly and throughly documented and sent to us for approval.

I had complained that the owner did not keep his appointment, nor did he call about why

finally did get a call from the owner, he explained that he was still in the hospital and that a medical emergency kept him from coming and calling

I will attempt to use his services once he is back at work

Initially Sam was very helpful in selecting the carpet, coming out to measure, and ordering promptly.  The day the carpet was installed the installer was over 2 ½ hours late without a phone call.  In addition, there was only one installer the other person could not come that day.  I had already taken time off work and prepared the room for installation (not removing furniture, but clothes, things on dresser, etc).  The one installer had a very difficult time moving my heavy bedroom furniture and I had to assist him
(thank goodness I am young and in shape).   He scratched my bathroom floor in moving the furniture.  Installation took an additional four hours and he was at my house until 8:30 since he arrived late and there was only one person.  When I called Sam upset and frustrated he was not responsive, and simply said there was nothing he could do.  He apologized,
but did not take ownership for the situation.  He blamed everyone but himself.  He does not understand when you own a company that company?s products and service is a reflection of you.  I have done both very high end and economical renovations, Sam said that he would provide a high level of service, however I wish I had gone with Home Depot in this situation.  I will never use Rabbit Carpet again.

My first visit in May, 2014 to Floor Decor for flooring in my Highland Beach home was very nice. A gentleman explained everything I needed to know about the way flooring is made and installed now and the benefits of different types of wood flooring. I contracted the job with a Floor Decor approved sub-contractor. The work was delayed due to mold under the laminate, and, by this time, I had gone up north for the summer. The problem starts here. The floor was not level in one place-about 1/4 in. over 3 ft. and was told by the contractor that the floor needed to be fixed before work could commence. The company offered no help with regard to a contractor or referral to remedy this. In August, I went back to Florida to finish the job. A representative of the original flooring company came to show me the problem. He suggested that I rip up the sub-floor, shave the  joist lengthwise so that the sub-floor would be level. He could not suggest any contractor to do this and suggested I google "floor leveling." Aside from violating building codes, I searched for a simpler solution. I went to Floor Decor 3 different times and was ignored, given sarcastic answers, showed smiling faces that said get out of my face, told to wait while someone talked to their wife about supper, and received no help nor referral to mitigate the problem. It took 2 visits to get a copy of the order, the second time being asked by a check out clerk why did I want it. There were some missing items and was told the sub-contractor picked them up. The sub-contractor said no.
Long story short-I contacted Quantum Floors on Gateway. Nicholas came to the site, said no problem. I sent all the flooring back to Floor Decor for a refund, fired the sub-contractor, hired Quantum Floors, and the job was finished in a week.

The Face of Wood Flooring and Luciano Soares did a magnificent job. They removed the carpeting from two large bedrooms and attached walk-in closets and installed hard wood flooring. All was expertly done. I couldn't believe that they completed the job in one day!
They brought the samples to the house and I selected from these.  Nothing could be easier.  The finished result was beautiful and they provided recommendations to care for the floors.

Ralph from Matos painting was a great salesman and started off strong.
However, that's the bright spot in this review, as his services only went
downhill from there.  He would always criticize everyone else?s work in the
house and never took the extra step to make us happy. He was also hired to put
in wood floors, which ended up coming in over a month late.  He and his crew
were very insistent that they only perform services to exactly what the contract
stated.  The contract also had three scheduled payments, two of which were paid
on time, but then he requested an unscheduled additional payment before the
final completed payment. He was to get a final payment upon completion and our
satisfaction at the end of the job. From there, he left us a voicemail that he
wanted to pick up another check when he finished the back patio. We never agreed
to that. As a nice gesture, we gave him a check, which we didn't have to do. He
promptly announced that the check amount was not enough and that he was walking
off the job. This was a job of great magnitude and we were severely
disappointed in his manner and demeanor. We would not recommend him to anyone.

Overall it was good. We made 1 trip to floors to go to pick out the materials- worked with Philip. Next day we had someone out to do the measurements and the following Saturday we had a team of 5 guys out to do the installation. Started ~8:30am and were out by 5pm. Did great work, very clean, and professional. Great Experience with both floors to go and the installation team.

I did my initial research online about our flooring project. I had a pretty good idea about what type of floor I wanted to get. I knew from the beginning that I wanted to hire an installer who would be able to install the full stair tread for each step ( as opposed to installing the same floor with just the stair nosing) When my wife and I went to different flooring installers, we were not satisfied with the answers we were getting to our questions. We wanted to know the pros and cons of bamboo vs engineered hardwood floors vs solid hardwood floors. We also wanted to know what type of installation they would recommend, floating vs glue down vs nail down. When we met Sam from Rabbit Floors that all changed. He was by far the most knowledgeable hardwood floor installer we had met. It was clear to me that he has great a deal of experience in installing floors. He took a great deal of time in explaining the pros and cons of installing different floor types. He also wanted to make sure that we selected the right floor for us. He told me that, since I have small children, he would recommend a floor that would be able to sustain a great deal of wear and tear. We ultimately decided installing a hand scraped engineered hardwood floor. Sam also mentioned that installing the full stair tread with the matching wood stain would not be a problem at all (other installers declined to install full stair treads). Once we selected the floors, Sam took the measurements on the house. We then paid a 50% deposit and scheduled a start date. As previously mentioned, they started on time and finished ahead of schedule. Our overall experience exceeded our expectations.

I needed to upgrade flooring in 2 bedrooms of my condo.  This company offered the best price by far.  Jay was on time for all appointments, including makeing the estimate and doing the work.  Work was done profesionaly, quickly and smoothly.  Product used was of good quality.  I am very happy with the job done and the total cost.

Our entire experience with Suncoast Tile & Flooring was excellent from our initial consultation with Nick through to the final clean up. The installers were on time, fast and professional. Nick checked in to ensure our satisfaction as the work progressed. I would highly recommended Suncoast Tile & Flooring.
