    Sears Appliance Repair
    A $265 repair on Nov 7th proved unsatisfactory as the dishwasher still would not complete its full cycle. A Nov 14th reschedule saw an additional repair, related to the initial issue, no additional charge, but the dishwasher would still not complete its full cycle. A reschedule was setup for Saturday the 20th in the afternoon. We waited all day. No one showed up. No one called. Now a reschedule is setup for the 27th, after Thanksgiving. We desperately needed a fully functioning dishwasher for Thanksgiving as we have a large number of friends and family to host. Calls to improved on the 27th date have yielded no results. They will see what they can do.

    Mike was the tech who showed up to diagnose the issues on September 29, 2015. Parts needed to be ordered and Mike took care of the ordering. On October 7, 2015, Mike returned to replace the main board on the dryer. On October 12, 2015, Mike returned again to install two belts and a belt on the washing machine. Mike was courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. Mike managed my expectation as to when the job would be completed when parts had to be ordered and shipped. The office was friendly when I called to book the appointment, and when I called back with the model and serial numbers on the washer and dryer. The only negative feedback I can offer if the provider wants to improve its service is to offer a smaller service window to wait at home. It is not Mike's fault that the provider could only provide a window of 8AM-5:00PM of service so I had to clear entire day to wait for the tech. Maybe an 8AM - Noon or a Noon - 5PM window would prevent customer from having to wait at home all day. To Mike's credit, he always called any where from 15-30 minutes before he arrived. In summary, I am very happy with the service and the experience in all my dealings with the front office and the on-site tech. I would use them again, and have no hesitation in recommending Cornerstone or Mike to friends who need appliance repair locally. THANK YOU, Mike.

    I received the lawnmower back with the newly rebuilt engine and, within a few hours of operation, had the same problems- smoking, engine stopping and missing- as I had prior to the engine rebuild. I returned the mower to Bennett's twice with the last trip resulting in Gary Bennett becoming insulting, defensive and verbally abusive. Each of my three trips was approximately 50 miles round trip and, other than spending the extra $1,000.00, I received little benefit from the "service" provided. I ultimately resolved the problem by having the engine properly repaired at a different service company. I had dealt with Bennett's prior to this for a period of approximately eight years as a local hardware store. Although selection was always limited and price always more than Home Depot or Lowes, at the time I felt it appropriate to support local businesses. Bennett changed my view of this practice.
