    Sanborn Builders Inc
I shopped three places for estimates for our project.

Omega was a joke.  They wanted $50 just to come on site for an estimate.  I told them OK but then they called back and said they would not come until I secured funding.  Mom was selling her home to pay for this job, not that it was any of their business. I did not call them back.

The second contractors name eludes me now but it was a fair estimate but it did not hold a candle to the service Bill provided.  Bill and his brother Ryan are not just great contractors, they are just great folks.  They operate on the golden rule treating others as they would want to be treated.

All the subs were first rate as well, true craftsmen.  There were some snags like there will be on such a project but they were all handed promptly and professionally.

Costs were forecaster right on the money and draws where handled with the customers satisfaction in mind.

Punch out was smooth as silk and everything was taken care of beyond our expectations.

I would recommend Sanborn for any project!

I contacted Omega for an estimate on an Addition to our home.  They called me back and said they would need $50 to come out to the house.  I told them that would be OK.  None of the other contractors I contacted asked for this but I understand time is money.  Well, then they call me back asking about my project funding.  We were moving my Mom into our home and she was selling her's to fund the construction.  The house was for sale in south Florida and the market there was hot so we knew it would not take long to sell.  None of this is their business.  Still, they tell me they will not give me an estimate until I secure funding.  You know, if you didn't want my business, all you had to do was say so.

After 20+ years as a homeowner, I have finally found an excellent company to do all of the general contracting work I need for my home in Gulf Breeze proper....OMEGA CONSTRUCTION & DESIGN. They can do everything you need from the ground up. The company is headed up by Drew Dennis, President, and Brandon Cummins, Project Manager, and supported by their highly skilled team. These guys are fantastic! It is rare to find high quality work designed beautifully and at a reasonable price. They treat your home as if it were their own. They even put 2 or 3 layers of plastic over my floors and furniture to prevent any harm to my personal things. Omega has done many projects for me including remodeling the house I bought last year as well as building a custom made storage building in the back yard. I also had them rebuild my detached garage that was destroyed by termite and wind damage. Additional work included textured and stained concrete by the pool, painting the house and window tinting. I still plan for them to do my roof replacement and repair some electrical and plumbing issues in the future. They are actively involved in the community and support the schools and sports teams in our area. The word Omega literally means "great" and is also used to indicate the last or the end. This holds true for Omega Construction & Design as they are "great" and this is the end of my search for a general contractor who meets and even exceeds my high standards!!

    Edwards Building and Design Inc
Edwards Building and Design is very responsive and uses quality sub-contractors. Bob Edwards personally oversees the work and is very easy to work with making changes to design when requested in the most cost effective and timely manner.
Bob is very ethical and will always do the right thing. On our house project he worked with us extensively with our budget and researched many options. For smaller projects he has his own crew which get the projects completed efficiently with minimal disruption. His crew is excellent at re-modeling.

The house had granite counter tops.  Porcelain sinks were installed under the counter tops. At the 20 month point the sinks fell from under the counter tops.  I contacted D.R. Horton and asked for warantee service under the ten year builder's warantee   That warrantee states that builder's defects are covered for 10 years.  D.R.Horton stated that the sinks failed because I did not seal the counter tops and the water caused the epoxy to fail.  I have sealed the counter tops at least twice! .  There was NO epoxy but silicone instead.  There were no brackets or tabs to hold the sink up.  I have paid a handyman to reinstall teh sinks because D.R. Horton refuses to help.

    Urban Infill Corporation
He was very professional and polite. I had feedback from other people that he was really good. One of my best friends had them build her home. The reason I did not go with him is because his bid was higher. My friend that used him though was for a brand new home and the most competitive. I don't think in every instance he would be higher. Mine was not a completely new construction

Our home is not yet finished so construction has been ongoing since Feb 2013.  Throughout this 2+ year process, Les has been accommodating, helpful and patient.  We live in Texas and Les is building our home in Navarre, Florida.  Throughout the design process, completing the electrical plan and making numerous changes, our communications with Les and our construction foreman have been great.  They keep us informed and have set up a web camera on the building site so we can remotely view the work being done.  Check around at other custom builders and then talk to Les.  It's like night and day.  Another builder we contacted would have built our first house diagram as is and didn't offer any ideas on how to improve the design, or ask us about our way we were going to use the house, or anything.  Les looked at our diagram and spent the next two hours asking questions and making design suggestions.  If you are considering a custom home in Northwest Florida, go see Les White at Acorn Construction or visit his website,  He has a wealth of information about the construction process on his website.

    Otto Wallace Construction LLC

He is a man of his word and we never had a problem. he prioritized work so home went from unlivable to liveable in a short time, then he worked around and helped our move in and living there while work was completed.
The job went as planned with him putting in lot's of extra effort in the name of doing it right.
He made what could have become a stressfull time enjoyable.

Do use the people he recomends like Otto, they are Artist's in their own fields.

We discovered our carpet and baseboards were wet in one area of our home.  I called a plumber who specializes in leak detection.
He found 2 nails in our plumbing pipes;apparent damage done by the builder.
This resulted in a slow leak . Uunfortunately for us, we did not discover the leak until we had been in the home for 3 years.
We contacted  DR Horton and were informed that they were not liable for the damge because our warranty only covered the first year.

They will not build our next new home.
