I would hire Terry over and over! Excellent customer service, showed up on the coldest, wettest day and dug out the patios. Top notch equipment to get the job done. He went the extra mile and moved the cut out sod to the other end of the yard so we didn't have to. His employees were polite and hard working. Terry was right there smoothing out the cement. He was fair priced for the amount of work he had to do. Cleaned up the yard and no spilled cement on the driveway. I can't recommend him highly enough!

Extremely well. Owner personally supervised work and incorporated a couple changes desired. Could not ask for better experience. Requested he design and incorporate footers for outdoor shower and they turned out exactly as specified making my DIY job easy. Also requested he install a linear floor drain (I provided) into the pour and it turned out perfectly.

I was pleasantly surprised to even have a contractor show up to give a bid because I've had more than one not show.. They were punctual for the estimate and to do the work. Early in the day, they had a professional looking concrete job done and at a reasonable price. What's not to like? If quality, timeliness, cost, and work ethic are important to you on an upcoming concrete job, look no further.

We are still in process of working but David Murphy is very awesome. He listens to you and does what you ask. They are a certified VA approved contractor. I went and asked for 3 bids from 3 different companies and he was the only one that came out numerous times to make sure I was happy with how the contract was going to work. That showed me he cares for his costumers and that he really loves his job. We are still waiting for the VA to make the final approvals on the contract before he can get started but if this is how he works I will use him for more of the work I will need done in the home in the future. I will tell you that if no one knows it but he is VA Certified to do construction on homes. He has been through the approval process of the VA so all he has to do is put a bid in when the VA ask for 3 bids. So Veterans he cares about us and how we live and wants to make our lives easy as possible. And make the house look amazing. So Call Tartan and have them come out and do what you need done. David Murphy reminds me of Mike Holmes from the DiY network about making sure everything is to code and he knows what to do.

It didn't go well at all I spoke with Josh on Wednesday 20th and requested an estimate on an extension to my existing patio. He stated he would be in the area on Thursday 21st and for me to send my address to his phone which I did as requested he did not respond to aknowledge that he received my information. I texted on Thursday to request what time he would be contacting me to go over estimate because I was at work so I would know when to expect call. I never heard back from him. On Friday I texted him again to inform him that since I had not received any responses from him I guess he did not need my business. I feel this was very unprofessional he could have a least given me the courtesy of explanation. I will not recommend his service to anyone.

Terry came out and gave me an estimate within 48 hours of first contact.  His estimate was at least 20% lower than the other 3 I got.  It only took about a week and a half before he was able to get out here and perform the job.  Prep work done in one morning (including breaking up the previous 10x10 pad and removal), entire concrete pad completed next day.  Extremely professional and courteous.  Job was beautiful, and an excellent clean up afterwards.  I've already recommended him to friends.  He does the work himself with two assistants...no subcontracting.

Terry Austin and his crew were the most professional I have had in a long time. He was expeditious and timely. He and his crew worked really hard, even in the rain. He removed our old driveway and proceeded with making the forms and pouring the new in a very smooth transition that kept the whole process going. Our new driveway looks fabulous and has improved the outside appearance of our home. I would recommend Mr. Austin, his crew and his lovely wife to anyone who needed concrete work done.

Terry has done a lot work for me. He poured a slab for a 35x70 building and two driveways. He and his crew show up professionally dressed and they leaver the same way. I will continue to use Terry as long as he's in business. He's punctual and his work is perfect.

Buyer beware! We had high hopes from this contractor with his promise he did things right. We asked for a 3 1/2 inch thick patio and he gave us exactly that without telling us that professionally it was a terrible choice. He leveled the ground up and then put supports in and poured the cement over 6inches above ground to 3 1/2 inches. Then he piled dirt along the edges to cover up his short cut. The rain washed that away in less than two days. We asked for a smooth concrete patio and their are so many imperfections in it. It's wavy in some areas dips in others textured in some and lines everywhere. He also got cement all over our siding and only cleaned up the "big areas" with a wire brush so now I have siding that's speckled with cement all the way up to my windows and wire scraped bottom siding.. Many arguments with this unprofessional contractor. Just about everything I asked him about he blamed me and my husband for. We are having to spend extra money to put up a retaining wall to protect our investment... The ground underneath wasn't leveled completely and no base so I hope the patio survives. To top it all he asked my husband after we were done painting the concrete and landscaping to fix his mistakes if he could come over and take a picture for his business! He said he gave us extra concrete but after measuring the dimensions we asked for were shortened about a foot on each side so I'm pretty sure I know where the extra concrete came from. We were going to use him for further house projects but have since changed our mind. To many short cuts and not professional enough to to educate the buyer on necessities when building and planning. Stay away!

Telephoned Terry asking for a bid.  We scheduled an appointment and he came by at exact time we agreed on.  We agreed on estimate and he scheduled work for two weeks out.  We were thrilled when he phoned 4-days later and said he had an opening and could install concrete work earlier.  Terry and his 3-man crew arrived bright and early at 7 a.m. and they removed sod, installed the forms, poured approximately 9-yards of concrete and worked until 5 p.m.  Their workmanship, professionalism, and terrific attitude, is why I can recommend Terry Austin Concrete contractor without hesitation.  I have been a real estate agent in this area for 14-years, and my buyers and sellers frequently come to me when they need the services of professional tradesmen.  For new driveways, swimming pool decks, etc., I will be sending them to Terry.
