    It was fine and I plan to stay with Humana. It is sort of required by your money that you have to use those services. It takes the money if you're constantly being checked. Up until this year, I would have given them an A but all of a sudden they are charging for medication yet I do have to take a lot of cholesterol and blood pressure medication. Now they are charging money and I'm not very happy with that because I'm on a fixed income. I only have my social security and I'm 77 years old. So all of a sudden from not paying anything and using a generic drug from them regularly, I find myself paying a hundred dollars every time I had a prescription. Its a 90 day refill but its still $100. They also increased the fees for a doctor that you're being referred to by your primary. For any outside doctor you have to pay $30 instead of $20 which is a $10 increase in that as well. I'm a little bit worried that if they raise it every year, then Humana will not be that much of a good deal anymore. I usually go through my primary and she communicates with them, then I follow her direction. I do get my statements regularly.

    It is a tough place. You are kind of like a number, you go in there, and it is not the same as a family practice, you don't get the same attention, and you don't get looked over the same. It is like a cattle market. They do the best they can. It takes forever to get in there. I have another place that I go to, because you can't get in there if you are sick. The punctuality is pretty good.

    West Boca Medical Center
    Everything at West Boca Medical Center went really well. All the doctors were very professional. It wasn't too cold or too hot. The minute I woke up I was hungry and they made sure to give me food. Everything went great. I chose this hospital because this is the one the doctor used. The staff at the hospital was professional. Not overly sweet but very professional. It was a scheduled appointment and everything went on schedule for the most part. Nothing went wrong. I didn't even wake up sick from the anesthesia. Everything went well.

    The young man whom I had the pleasure to deal with was named Jimmie Needles. He was absolutely wonderful. He understood my situation without any kind of judgement. He was understanding of the timeline that I needed to make my decision. I never felt that he was flustered or anxious with me at all. I asked for a certain coverage and that it what he presented me with. Other agents had tried to sell me on programs that would not have been suitable for me. Since I have dealt with Jimmie and this company I would never deal with anyone different. I suggest that if anyone is looking for help in insurance this is the perfect one for you.

    The tests went well and he was generally impressed and that says a lot because my husband is not usually impressed. I think everyone was very professional. He also saw one of their assistant practitioners that actually performed some of the tests. So it wasn't just the doctors that impressed him, he was impressed with the staff too. And I think he also used their south location, I had a question regarding their invoice which I called in their staff who was very informative. And everything was as if a positive experience. I would use them again.

    Jimmie Needles handled our quote.  At first he said he did not know if he could find anyone, as most companies stop insuring when customers are 65 and eligible for medicare.  After speaking with his boss he came back and quoted a competitive price and said the  insurance had to be done before my mother-in-law hit 65 years of age.  Thats when the problems started.  The link in the online quote he gave did not work.  When it finally did, the price jumped +45% higher than his quote.  When I called back Jimmie played around with the quote, then discovered another "problem" which he said he would have to investigate.  When he called back 40 minutes later he apologized but said the quote would not apply in the state of Florida, as state regulations do not allow the sale of health insurance to those over 64 1/2 years of age.  I replied that we had provided all the correct information up front, including the fact we lived in Florida, so why was this now a problem?  His only reply was that he had made a "mistake" and was sorry.  We wasted a half day on this.  
    Angie's List members give this company a high rating.  Maybe they are good at "plain vanilla" insurance needs, but for anything a little more complicated, like senior immigrants needs, they are uninformed and a waste of time, unfortunately.

    After asking some questions, Bill gave me some good advice and did not try to sell me anything.  In fact, he gave me two outside options, saying they would be better able to handle my unique situation.  A very professional service and I wouldn't hesitate to call again.

    Broward Health Coral Springs
    The wound care center is a unit in the Broward Health Coral Springs hospital. I started using them in October of 2012 and am still using them. Presently I am seeing them once a week for wound care. Before that, as part of their center I used their Hyperbaric Chamber. My wound has been declared that it's healed, but I am still wearing a full contact cast on it until it matures. Brian Segall is the lead doctor on this. He is without a doubt the best wound care specialist I've ever run in to and I've been going through this thing for four years. Personal service and care, empathy - if you had to use a Doctor, he is the one that you would want to use. The staff is excellent: they really know wounds and show compassion and professionalism. I can't say anything bad about what they've done, they are really on the ball as far as that's concerned.

    Overall it was my first experiance with a rehabilitation center so it was a rough road.  The staff was extremely professional and helpful in both the business and the therapy side of the process.  I had to end my process early for financial reasons, but was genuinely happy with the treatment provided.  Truely life changing.

    I accidentally administered a fairly deep slice to my thumb while performing (poorly) a minor Sunday morning project that required an X-acto knife as the primary tool. I could not stop the cut from bleeding and it appeared to be deeper than the first layer of skin. So, erring on the side of caution, I hauled my freshly sliced thumb to this urgent care facility, based solely on Google Maps. It was not listed in Angie's List, so I'm submitting it for addition. I was expecting the standard annoying experience with the medical establishment. My expectations were not met. The front desk person immediately acknowledged me in a friendly manner and set me to filling out the usual raft of forms. The nurse called me in moments after I handed in the forms, took my stats, and verbally re-confirmed some of the info in the forms. Again, all in a very friendly and efficient manner. The physician's assistant appeared very soon after the nurse departed, asked my story, had a look, cleaned up the cut, glued it together, bandaged it, and sent me on my way... and yes, was very friendly and efficient. I hope to avoid using their services ever again. But, if (when) I do damage myself again and need urgent medical care that doesn't deserve an emergency room visit, then I will be returning to Medical Center of the Palm Beaches on Forest Hill Blvd. These folks impressed me with their customer service, bed-side manner, and professionalism. They did a great job.
