  • It went well and the eye exam was very thorough. The waiting room is very neat, clean and large. There are chairs and reading material. At first I thought I was walking into a hair salon; it does not look like a doctor's office. There a lot of nice cushioned chairs to sit in. The staff is very professional and friendly. They have an eyeglass place and I think they sell eyeglasses in the next room. The staff is very good and the doctor communicated very well; we did not feel rushed at all. At this point we have not had any problems with the billing and administration. My wife is Medicare and they take her. They do charge extra for what is called refraction; I think all eye doctors do. She did not have that done so I do not think she is going to get any bills. I think Medicare is going to pick it all up.

  • My family and I have been seeing Dr. Harrell for almost 30 years, and have always been very satisfied. On this particular visit he told me there would not be any lenses that would improve my distance vision. Needed cataract surgery, which I have since had. I will be going back to Dr. Harrell this week for new glasses (yes, I still need them for distance, no longer for close up - my choice.) Only negatives - his office does not take my insurance, and it takes at least a week to get new glasses from the lab he uses., I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone, with those caveats.

  • I had purchased the frames from Eye-Site Optical previously on July 5, 2000. So this exam would be replacing those eyeglass lenses with my new prescription.

After the eye exam Dr. Flesher forwarded me to Dave Thomas for processing of the eyeglass lenses. While discussing the lenses I pointed out to Mr. Thomas that a screw in the temple of the frames needed to be replaced. I had gone to Eye-Site previously for adjustments for those same said frames.

On July 1, 2014 I picked up the glasses from Eye-Site Optical. I tried them on for fit, straightness, etc. I pointed out to Jeri (a staff member) that the screw didn't get replaced. She went to the back of the store and then returned. She told me she sawed down the screw. I told her I wanted a new screw, not a sawed down screw. She got up and returned to the back of the store. She came back out with a new screw in the frames. The negligence was unnecessary in sawing the screw down.

I told her that I would be closely examining the glasses when I got home and if there were any problems I would bring them back. She said and quot;fineand quot;.

When I got home I closely examined the glasses and saw damages all over the frames and lenses. The damage is where the screw was sawed down and on top of the rim of the glasses, as well, an area that is not close to the screw.

I attempted to contact Eye-Site by fax. I spoke to Kelly (a staff member) and Mr. Thomas about the damages. Both parties said I would not be getting any money back for the frames.

Mr. Thomas pointed out a sign he has propped up on the back counter that says that they are not responsible for patient-owned glasses. I didn't see the sign. However, I did remind Mr. Thomas that I purchased the frames from them. I didn't bring in frames bought elsewhere. he then changed his discussion. he pointed out that the frames are too old for any due care to be exercised with success. That's his excuse, the frames are too old physically to be adjusted or repaired. They are in fine condition otherwise, I disagree.

I said that Jeri did not discuss this policy with me or warn me that removing a screw and installing a new one would be and quot;at my own riskand quot;. And he admitted that she should have done so. I said that if she would have said that I would not have possibly asked them to replace it. I reminded him that when I gvae him the frames for the eyeglass order on June 28, 2014, that I pointed out the bad screw. Mr. Thomas didn't say anything about their policy at that time either. Kelly said Mr. Thomas damaged the glasses. Mr. Thomas said Jeri damaged the glasses.

They did reimburse me for the damaged lenses - $110. Yet they won't pay for the damaged frames - $94.

Does their sign posted about patient-owned glasses exclude them from reimbursing me for the outright negligence and physical abuse to my frames and customer service-wise (discussing policy of repairs/adjustments on frames bought there)?

If I am legally in my rights to get reimbursement for the frames, I would like to get that money back.

  • Dr. Sibia and his staff are personable and thorough. Never rushed, they always take the time to answer your questions and to explain things well to you in ways you can understand. Exams are thorough and additional testing equipment is available if you need it. The office is pleasant and clean, and parking is readily available. Dr. Sibia has two offices, I believe, so is only available on certain days/times at the Lake Worth location.  I have complete confidence in Dr. Sibia and will continue to use him as my opthamologist in the coming years.

  • I find him a very careful and caring practitioner. He's been able to do the lightest diagnostic treatment for my glaucoma but he also does eye surgery. The staff seems very well trained. He has all of the latest equipment for examining your eyes. For my particular case, he has the lightest laser eye treatment for that.

  • I've been a loyal patient for 12 years. This time Dr. Binning was unable to get a good reading on the script - and he was concerned so he sent me to a specialist.. The specialist got a different reading. When I went back to Dr. Binning his staff couldn't give me an appointment and told me I had to just come as a walk in and wait... they had no appointments- which made me very angry. So I had no choice but to go on Saturday morning and wait..... then he got a different reading -- so that made 3 different scripts. I ended up making an appointment to see an Opthalmologist -- couldn't take the chance of spending hundreds on new glasses only to find out they were wrong. Totally lost confidence in Dr. Binning. I think he's a nice guy and a reasonably good doctor, but after all these years, I am just any customer..too bad.

  • Dr. Mansoir saw me first thing upon arrival.  He was amazing.  His attention to  his detail and dedication to trying to fix my problems helped me to make it through a very painful and scary time. Dr. Mansoir kept rechecking  treatment my eye throughout the morning, adjusting his treatment plan. He sent me home later that afternoon and again, met me in the morning   to recheck my eye. His office isn't even open on Sundays, so he went above and beyond the normal "call of duty" to do this for me.

  • Dr. Costello has been my doctor for over 18 years. He is an excellent optometrist. His staff is very professional and helpful. I also purchase my eye glasses there. They are well made and are high quality.

  • Called on a Tuesday. Was in on a Wednesday. I do not have Eye insurance. Dr Binning was very kind in his fee with me. He truly cares about the patient. What a concept. He knew I was new to the area. After dilating my eyes he even offered to have one of his female staff drive me home. My eyesight had demised quite a bit in the last 16 months. My Drs thought it could be a common side effect to some medication I had previously been prescribed. Dr Binning put my mind at rest. It was a case of and quot;Turning 40and quot;. Instead of paying for costly laser surgery (my Mom had severe complications) or buying expensive prescription glasses he suggested drugstore glasses. I bought some and they work great. Dr Binning even called a few days later to follow up. He's a wonderful Dr!

  • My family and I have been going to this office on a yearly basis for at least 5 years now. We have always been very pleased with the staff and with the optometrist. It is always a very pleasant, no fuss, experience.
