Septic Tank Cleaning reviews in Gainesville

    Newsome Well & Septic
Terrible experience with Newsome Well & Septic & then asked to take down my review! Septic back up. Called and they provided a window of time (2:00 pm to 4:00 pm) when they would be at the house. They agreed to call when enroute. I was called at 12:59 pm to say job was done. Whaaat? They described which septic tank was pumped. The house has two septic tanks and they pumped out the wrong one. They then went ahead and pumped out the correct septic tank still prior to the window of time they said they would be on site. Arrived after they completed pumping the second tank (1:40 pm). Again, still prior to the window of time agreed upon. Was told we would have to pay for the pumping of both tanks ($600) even though we only wanted one to be pumped out. Employee was rude first thing they said upon my arrival was oh, you are one of them. I dont really know what that means so I asked and didnt get a response. I asked for owner/boss/supervisor contact information. Called him and he said if we didnt pay the $600 he would have his employee pump the fluid back into the first tank (the one we didnt want pumped). Who knows how much was removed? Also, he would have had to uncover it again. Plus, how would he be able to pump the same amount of contents back into that tank? So, his other option was $50 off the bill...so $550. Note to you: Avoid doing business with this company unless you want to pay for something you did not authorize. update: I was contacted shortly after I posted this review by the owner asking me to take down the review for it would tarnish his five star rating and he felt that offering to re-dig up and septic tank and pump the contents back into the tank was an acceptable resolution to his employee's mistake.

The tank cleaning went fine, but the service person broke an irrigation sprinkler pipe that was running near the 1st septic tank. They informed me I would need to get someone to replace it as they accepted the payment check and left. Considering the additional cost and trouble of having their company break my sprinkler line, I have to say I would choose another company next time. I suggest other people also choose a less careless company.

    Newsome Well & Septic
Very well. The tanks were difficult to locate because of tree roots. But on a very hot day, the workman persisted and located both tanks. One was clear and did not need pumping. The second tank was pumped out, the yard restored as much as possible, and care was taken not to damage landscaping.

    BELTZ LIQUID WASTE MANAGEMENT
I called around to a few vendors and found they were all at $300 or above. Since $300 was quoted by Beltz and since our neighbor was satisfied with their recent pump-out, I decided to go with them. It was easy to arrange a date and time window on the phone. The two-man crew arrived within the time window and went right to work. They found the cover quickly enough, dug it out and proceeded to pump the tank out. Steve and his associate were very cordial during the time they were here. Steve told me about the workings of our particular system and made a recommendation to insure that the tank would not cause future problems. It did not take long for the tank to be pumped out, followed by the cleanup, which was done with thoroughness. I will definitely call on them again three years from now.

I called and explained that one of the tanks had already been pumped out by them, 7 months ago. But when the crew arrived, while his helper was still digging up the second tank, the driver started pumping out the first tank which did not have much in it. When I pointed out that we did not order them to pump that same tank again, he said, "well, then do you want me to pump it back?" I wanted to be reasonable about it, and said that it was ok if they could offer a discount. But they ended up charging me the full amount for pumping two tanks. They are scoundrels, including the boss of the company who understood perfectly what happened, but pretended to justify their gouging me, later on the phone.

Emergency pump-out request went in at 7 am.  Job was done by noon.  Very pleased that the gurgling yuck only made it to the laundry and neither of the toilets backed up.
Finding the tank took awhile because I guessed the tank was in the back and it was in the front.  The two guys were patient with the search,  They were efficient and did a good job shoveling the dirt back over the covers when they were done.
These guys deserve all the good reviews they've gotten!

Rick's Septic Tank & Pumping Service
Rick and his colleague showed up to inspect my pre-purchase property septic tank. After contacting several of the previous owners who did not know the location on the 1 acre lot, they used their prodding tool to try and locate it. They spent quite a bit of time looking in the locations that would seem most obvious but suspected it may be too deep to find this way. They offered to use a camera snake through the basement toilet to find the tank and service it but that required the home owner's permission. So they looked around the property for any signs of problems and found none. He gave me an inspection report based on his visual inspection which was needed for my VA loan and offered to return to do the full inspection at a later date or after I occupied the home. Although he normally charges for that type of inspection when a home owner does not want the tank dug up, he provided it free to me knowing that I will have to pay an additional fee to locate the tank before inspecting and pumping it. Rick was very helpful and I will definitely get him back out to finish the job he started.

Initially  it proved quite challenging, as it turned out it was located under a hedge and much deeper down than most septic tanks are located.  The two very pleasant and courteous men had to work for what seemed like a long time to locate it,  and then they found they needed another piece of equipment due to its inaccessible location.  They came back with the needed extra equipment a day or two later and had to pull out part of the hedge.  At our request they put in a riser so that we would not encounter this difficulty in the future, and of course this made the bill higher than the initial estimate.  I was particularly impressed that Brenda Dampier, the company owner, kept us informed throughout  the process.

Unfortunately, I let Myers talk me into doing the job cheaply by cutting some corners on the installation method. I should have known better, and I take responsibility for following their poor advice. Now, less than two years later, the drain field is failing and sewage backs up into our bathroom and seeps above ground in our back yard. After informing the company about this issue and asking for guidance about how to fix the problem (we even informed Myers that we were willing to pay more to have it done correctly this time), the company has ignored our multiple requests for assistance. We have given up and called a competing company for service.
