    Dr. Brad was unusually thorough. He spent a LOT of time doing my exam, explaining the various procedures and taking me through the process of an eye exam. I've had two prior eye exams which were nowhere near as comprehensive and thorough.

    I waited a few weeks after I did not hear back from Lange Eye Care.   I was informed that their billing department had to approve the order with the insurance company.   I called back 6 to 7 times in the next month and got the same answer.   I called the insurance company and was informed that Lange never called them and the prescription did not need medical clearance.   The insurance company called Lange and informed them that.  Lange stated that they would contact billing and contact the insurance company the next day.   The insurance company did not hear back from Lange, so after six weeks of Lange's poor service, I went to another company and got much better results as I was valued as a customer.

    I've been going here for over 15 years. The optometrists are very good, but the office staff do not seem to be well trained or interested in being on time. My husband and I both ordered new glasses in April, and both orders were problematic. It took a month for my glasses, and 3 weeks for my husband's glasses, then his order was wrong. Their computer system is either very slow or very complicated because it takes about 10-15 minutes just to check out when everything is done. I feel their service has declined over the past couple years. Their selection of eyeglass frames does not seem to have a large variety.

    One of the regular salesmen was not in, so another man tried to help. Everything he did,  he had to ask the salesman for help. It was not good and bothered me. I was wondering if I should go somewhere else. I didn't have a great feeling of trust. Eventually I got my glasses ordered. Unfortunately, and through no fault of theirs, I had to have the lenses changed twice. They took care of the problem like true professionals and I was not billed any extra. I will definitely buy there again.

    I would highly recommend her and she's very good. She takes a personal interest in whatever issue, she remembers who you are and she's very thorough. The only thing is that you have to wait in a little time but they're on time this year.

    He's very calm, attentive, personable, and professional. I never wait more than two minutes to begin my appointment. His staff is great too, never rude or bothered when customers come in, like I've experienced at other opticians. I wear glasses and contacts. Over the years I've had different issues with my contacts and he shows concern, asks a lot of questions to find the best option, and tries different brands, contact solutions and Rx. He has also advised me on LASIK surgery, which I haven't had yet per his recommendation, because my eyes Rx keeps changing. The only reason I'm looking into seeing another eye physician at Shands is to get another opinion about LASIK, since I want to see if I could be considered a good candidate, or if there is anything else about it that I should consider. | |I also really like Br. Bangstad's eyewear shop. They have a great, trendy selection and the prices are very reasonable. They don't try to upsell you on extras, which is a refreshing contrast from other eyewear stores. The service to get your Rx filled is quick, usually within the week. I do think they charge too much for contacts so sometimes I buy them elsewhere, like online. Probably that's the case for any optician though. I would definitely recommend Dr. Bangstad for any adults or kids, he and his staff are a pleasure to work with.

    I was not impressed with the office manager this year. She did not know product or problem resolving skills. The straw that broke the camels back was how she handled a problem that I was having with an advertised special on contacts. She was so unprofessional that when I witnessed her throwing my chart on a counter so hard that it began falling to the floor that she had to prevent it from falling.

    The doctor was able to explain the problem in less then 2 minutes that the office manager could not resolve after 10 minutes.

    I then went into the waiting room to pick out glasses. I signed my name so that I could get a turn with assistance in picking out glasses. I waited and waited and the technician helped someone that just came in and sat down and began talking about fishing. Instead of the technician asking this person to sign his name and wait they just took him in front of me. I left after explaining to the front office clerk what had just happened. She made no effort to correct the issue.

    When I finally came back to pick glasses out it was the same issue. I however did speak up about the problem loudly and finally received the help I needed.

    When I came into pick up my glasses it was the same thing again. I had signed my name to wait my turn and in walks someone and they walked up in front of me and picked up their glasses and left.

    I will not come back next year. I will go somewhere where the office staff is all about servicing the customer.

    Dr. Samy is a good doctor but unless you have a neural eye complication, I would go somewhere else. My first visit I only had to wait one hour. My second visit, I walked out after 3 hours after being told that there were 4 people still in front of me. I was encouraged to stay because if I rescheduled, I probably would encounter the same wait time. I did not reschedule.

    Dr. Tost was awesome. I couldn't say more about his friendliness and awesome bedside manner. He was very thorough and was actually diagnosed why I was having such awful headaches. He showed me a picture of the back of my eye where my optic nerve should show; however, due to excess pressure, you could hardly see my optic nerve. He immediately referred me back to my physician where he requested an MRI and neurology referral. Had he not told me I would never have known and would probably still be being told by other physiciians that it is just stress. He was great!

    My experience with Dr. Ted Brink at Pearl Vision was really pleasant and really nice. There's a lady there that always used to help me. They're not pushy. When you leave with your glasses you don't have to go back because they don't fit or the prescription is wrong. I've had three pairs of glasses made there and I've walked out of the store being able to see. It's been awesome. They've always told me exactly when my glasses are going to be in and they're there on the day.
