We wanted an estimate for a "check-up" for our lawn irrigation system.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
We had two stations of our sprinkler system that quit working and my husband couldn't find the valve cutoffs for those stations. The valve cutoffs for one of the stations was hidden by gravel and dirt. Scott was able to find the valve cover quickly and discovered that the 2 stations that weren't working were wired into the same sprinkler station. He fixed the broken wire and provided me with an explanation as to why the stations had quit working. It took less than an hour from Scott's arrival until the 2 sprinkler stations were working again.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
When I turned on my in-ground irrigation system in the spring, two of the zones had stopped responding. I had planted some valuable landscape material to start reducing the size of the lawn and the amount of watering required to maintain it, but I was forced to hand-water to keep it alive, and the existing landscape plants and lawn were suffering as well. They came out and did a complete check of the controller, tested the electrical connections, and found the two unmarked, inoperable solenoids (installed before I purchased the property) hidden under almost a foot of soil. They cut and completely replaced the water line around the old solenoids and replaced them with sophisticated timer valves (which saved over $1000 compared with rewiring the damaged zones), and replaced the covers and soil. The system now works as intended, and I again have full control over the irrigation.
