    Ozzy Construction Co
I live out of town & planned in advance with Mr.Ozzy the start date. The proposed project was to take 3 weeks for completion. The bathroom remodeling began on time and there was approximately a week's delay in completing the project as a wall had to be unexpectedly torn down & rebuilt due to water damage, a major pipe had to be replaced and the wrong brand of window had been ordered. Mr. Ozzy was present every day for part or the entire day of the project. Mr. Ozzy, along with his 2 workers, Jesus & George were very polite & hard working. They cleaned up after themselves each day. I am not gifted in designing bathrooms & Mr. Ozzy offered very practical suggestions throughout the process. I also asked lots of questions and the entire crew were very patient with me. Obviously, I had to pay extra for the new wall & the major pipe that was replaced since these were unexpected problems that were encountered during the remodeling project. Otherwise, Mr.Ozzy's proposed bid did not change. I am very pleased with my new bathroom! I did not know Mr. Ozzy ahead of time but picked his company based on Angie List Reviews. I wholeheartedly endorse Mr. Ozzy for the quality of his work & his professionalism. Please note the price I paid to Ozzy construction was for labor, the window itself, recessed ceiling lights & a ceiling/hearing fan combo. I paid separately for the medicine cabinet, light fixture, grab bars, tub, toilet, sink & floor & shower tiles.

    Classic Sun Valley Flooring LLC
It did not go! I paid for the job in March and I have been contacting the owner of the company since May (when the grout they installed started cracking in the shower). Not only did they not complete the initial job, the job they did was faulty, and they are so unprofessional that they are not willing to come back to repair their substandard work.

    Classic Sun Valley Flooring LLC
Before the work was done, the owner of the company came out and gave an estimate and I specifically asked about threshold pieces because I know this is a re-occurring problem with flooring, and I read in their reviews that this has been a problem with them. She assured me there would be threshold pieces. During the demolition the 2 of the threshold pieces I had were destroyed, so I know more care could have been taken and the pieces may not have been destroyed. Now, 6 weeks later I still don't have threshold pieces. I just spoke with the owner who was extremely rude and unprofessional to me, saying it the threshold pieces are not their responsibility (love it when someone tries to make their mistake your fault). It is unfortunate that the quality workmanship was not consistent, and the project is still not complete,

    Ratner Construction and/or handyman2hire
RATNER CONSTRUCTION The process started with owner of the company ,Steven Ratner, coming to give an estimate for the things we wanted done in the house. The price APPEARED fair, so we continued with the company. We needed the kitchen and 2 bathrooms worked on. The bathrooms had cave like soffit above the tubs and that was our main reason for updating. They put a huge trash bin in the middle of the driveway which made it unusable for us to park. This huge bin stayed there for most of the work. The demolition was finished and that is when everything changed. We came in after demo to see that the soffit above the tubs was still there. Ratner stated that wasnt in the estimate and this is how the entire process of working with Ratner went . The demo took place in MAY AND THE PROJECT WAS NOT COMPLETED UNTIL OCTOBER 11! The final inspection only passed because OUR handy man was there willing to fix the things the inspector found not passable on the 3rd visit. Ratner construction failed almost every inspection that the city Gainesville had ,sometimes 3 times. At one point the house was not worked on for weeks. It turned out that Ratner only had ONE person on his crew so when the person had a family emergency the house just sat! We were told on numerous occasions that no subcontractor would work with Steven Ratner. The person that did the tile work was a new hire for Ratner and Ratner also had him do the drywall. The tile work was beautiful, but the ceiling and walls were horrible, and we had to pay another company to come in a smooth out the ceiling and walls before a painter would touch them. If you are still reading this yes, painting was not included .What was? Nothing it seems. Our only advice is to find another contractor. Steven Ratner continually throughout the process would change the price and hand us updated price contracts! If you do use Ratner Construction video every conversation you have with him. You will need it.

    Gainesville Carpets Plus Colortile
Gainesville Carpets Plus is a very professional organization that stands behind their work. Carpet was installed upstairs and in stairwell and looks great. Vinyl flooring was installed downstairs. There were some issues originally with the installation of the flooring in the entryway due to having to cover areas where there was originally tile up against carpet. Leroy worked with us and stood totally behind the work ensuring that it be top notch and done the right way. It took a couple of return trips, and building up of the subfloor in the entryway, but the final installation was excellent. Thanks again to Leroy and Carpets Plus for a floor we are very proud of.

    US installations
The co was so cheap they didnt own or rent the proper equipment to remove the floors. They used hand tools & an electric saw. The subcontractors were hard working & produced a good looking product. Two MAJOR problems. 1. The used the wrong mortar for the floor according to the manufacturer. $13,000 and Im not sure how using the wrong product will impact our new floors. 2. With no discussion or itemized bill they increased our bill $2000. Home Depot increased the bill with no signed change order. (Every change even small changed with the kitchen contract I sign a change order before any changes are made to my bill.). Nothing made sense. When I disputed they reduced it to $1000. They did no floor prep. I filed a detailed complaint with Asst Mgr of store 0270 on Nov 2, 2017 delineating our issues. I called Customer Services on Nov 8 and twice on Nov 10th asking to Speak to a Manager. I was promised a call back after lunch on Nov 10. It is now Nov 15th. How often have they pulled this stunt? My advice avoid doing business with Home Depot flooring. You will get no help from Home Depot.

    Keller Interiors, Inc.
The job started as a somewhat simple replacement of laminate flooring for about 600 square feet in a condo in Gainesville. Unfortunately, when the old laminate was taken up, there were several problems from the original installation (improperly installed underlayment, crumbling underlayment) and standing water (from either previous owner mopping or water damage that was not disclosed). John Huggins was my contact at Keller in Gainesville, who was an amazing partner throughout the entire process. He patiently explained the problems, and most importantly, how to fix the mess. We ended up with the old underlayment having to be ground off and new underlayment being put down due to the poor condition of the floors. This added to the cost but was absolutely worth it as the subfloor was so bad that if a new floor had been installed, I'm sure it would not have been a quality job and there would be more problems in the future. Someone less reputable than Mr. Huggins, might have completely skipped this step just to get the job done, but I more than appreciate his honesty and professionalism making sure the job was done correctly and that I understood every step. He also recommended a change of product from laminate to vinyl plank, even sending me photos of the new vinyl planks he had put down in his own home. I had never heard of this product, but after discussing the pros and cons with John, vinyl was absolutely the best way to go. It cost a little more for the product, but he honored the original installation price and now the floors are level, dry, and beautiful. I recommend Keller Interiors in Gainesville and John Huggins without reservation.
