  • I am very satisfied with them. We’ve had them twice. We will be using them consistently while we are here. I did pick them up from Angie’s List. They are a good company, they did us right. It was a good hones appraisal and a good honest price and good honest service.

  • The company would not warranty my system but was more than willing to sell me a new system and take my old one on trade plus $5000. SWS came out and serviced my system and it now works perfectly. They never pressured to sell me anything or try to convince me to try something different. They will get my business again in the future.

  • Called to replace a pressure switch on a residential pump system. When tech came out, he told me that I needed a new control box and a new pressure switch. I said, ok, how much? He wouldn't even tell me how much until he went through the whole sales spiel I'd already heard from the dispatcher. I get it. Ace is all about the customer. Anyway, after about 10-15 minutes out in his truck, taking a smoke break, he came back in with a quote. Then came the up-sales. $370 for a "Family Plan" annual maintanance agreement. No thank you, I said. Ok, how about a plumbing agreement? $175. I said again, no thank you. How much for the work? After all the up-sales were removed, the final quote was.... $992. For a $120 1hp control box ( which he said was $742 ) and $200 plus for a $12-15 pressure switch. Over charge much? After I said there was no way I could pay that, he went outside to replace the box cover and to make a call. After a few minutes, he came back in the house and said his service manager could take another $150 off, to bring it down to $850 or something. I was floored! In the meantime, I had another call to the company who replaced it before. He quoted me $230 for everything... Box, switch and labor. I showed the Ace tech receipts of the work done before and how there was such a huge descripancy in price. His only answer was I don't set the prices. After I told him what I just got a quote for, I hold him thanks for coming out, but there was no way I would pay that much for something I know shouldn't be over $250. Wrote him a check for $69 for coming out and he went on his way. Got what I needed done from the other company, and as it it turns out, I did not need a new control box after all. Saved another $100 right there. I am sure Ace probably does good work, but man, those up-sales and exorbitant prices! I felt gouged on that price. I wouldn't recommend Ace based on value, no matter how good they claim the work to be. Be cautious if you use Ace.

  • He found no problem with any electrical item but he suggested we put a timer on our water heater.  He did not have the part on his truck but said he would be back in a couple of days to put one in, as we had told him to do so.  He came back and installed the timer and did a very nice job.  Our electric bill is now smaller and he only charged us one service charge.  I would use him again.

  • Overall he did a good job but when I asked about a replacement water heater he gave us a quote of over 3,700 for a tankless water heater and over 1300 for a standard water heater.  I checked out the prices and they were double what I could get at Lowe's or home depot installed.

  • I have described the recent experience with Dunstan in the box provided above.  The technician arrived a little late than scheduled, but on the same day I called.  He greeted me, and went straight to work on the job at hand.  We called because the disposal we had been using was making an unusual noise and we had determined that something was jammed in between the floor of the unit and the wall.  Dunstan made a quick assessment, and reported that the disposal had not been installed correctly initially, and that he was surprised we had not had more leaks than the one we had already experienced.  I told him to install a new unit, which he had brought along as a contingency, and he set to work installing the new unit.  In a fairly short period of time the new disposal was installed, and the technician called me in to the kitchen to verify it was working properly and to my satisfaction.  I paid the price for labor and for the disposal itself, which I found to be reasonable.

  • I called Dunstan & Son Plumbing at around 6:30 pm the plumber called me back within minutes of speaking with the answering service. He told me he was finishing a job a couple of towns over but that he'd come over within an hour and a half. He arrived within the time he had established and promptly got to work. By 10:00 pm the job had been completed and tub was back in business. He was very courteous and professional, and most importantly reasonably priced. I am glad I called them and will not hesitate to call them again for any plumbing emergency.
