    Door 2 Door Movers
I am very pleased to recommend Door 2 Door movers. We hired them to move our 3 br home furnishings from Port Orange to the Destin area - a 400 mile move.. Eric (President) gave us a fair and accurate estimate for our move. His plan of 4 men and 4 hrs loading time was right on the money. They packed our precious cargo with care. All furniture was blanket and plastic wrapped. The following day we unloaded at our new home. Beds set up and furniture carefully placed to suit my wife with no impatience or reluctance, in spite of the fact they needed to get back on the road to St. Augustine after leaving at 4 AM. Unloading time 3.5 hours. Aaron and his 2-man crew worked quickly, cooperatively, with very pleasant attitudes toward us and each other. Final result: They showed up on time, did their work in a professional manner, on-time unloading, no damage and no extra charges or "low-ball" estimates. We HIGHLY recommend D2D Movers for your move.

    Above All Movers
The movers just left our house. They were on time, pricing was more than reasonable, and the two guys sent were extremely hard working. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend!

    Long Haul Van Lines
Overcharges: We were charged for 3500 cubic feet of goods. The semi-truck that arrived to deliver our goods carried a total of 4000 cubic feet. There were 2 deliveries on that truck, ours and another one. Our delivery was just slightly over half of the truck size. Long Haul Van Lines only used 2500 cubic feet of space for our belongings.

Negligence: We were charged $2,625.00 for packing materials. The packers did not use packing materials inside the boxes; which resulted in extensive damage and loss of our goods. We booked and paid for a professional move to include packing. Our items were neither packed, loaded nor unloaded by professional movers (the movers told us at delivery that they were day laborers hired from Craig's List).

We were told that Long Haul Van Lines would use professional movers.  The men who moved our household effects were booked that day on Craig's List and had no prior experience or knowledge with regards to packing, loading and unloading with a moving company. Using un-skilled, non-professional movers resulted in extensive damages and loss to not only our goods but to both houses as well. Damages from the first house included a broken Pottery Barn Chandelier, broken hinges and magnets on Plantation Shutters, as well as damage to hard wood floors. Damages to the second house included extensive scratches to new hardwood floors and large holes/dents in the walls/chair rails/ceilings.

The driver of the delivery van, also not a professional mover, informed us that he was sent alone to retrieve all of our belongings from storage to deliver to us in Virginia. He stated that he had to call for help when he saw our Antique Armoires. He stated that he and one other person loaded these items onto his truck (the semi did not have a lift nor a ramp to assist in getting things in/out of the truck.) We had informed Long Haul Van Lines, when we booked the move, that we had several large/heavy armoires. The packers/loaders left the shelves in one of these armoires which weighed at least 20 pounds per shelf. These shelves moved around inside the armoire during shipment causing damage to the inside of the armoire. Additionally, one leg of the armoire was completely broken off.  These armoires are antiques from the East India Trading Company and will incur significant costs to repair.

ly  HomeThe negligence and complete disregard for the value of our goods was not only disappointing but a breech of the agreement we made with Long Haul Van Lines.  We received significant damage to nearly all of our household goods including, but not limited to, the following: slashed and damaged leather to our 3 piece black leather sofa, loveseat and single lounger, nearly all dining room chairs leather were damaged, one bar stool completely destroyed, numerous bookshelves, coffee tables and wooden beds were dinked, dented and scratched, one 32 inch TV smashed and one 50 inch HD wall mounted TV damaged so badly that it won't even turn on.

Missing Items: When the delivery team believed they had finished their work we noticed that we were still missing some items. We tried to get on the truck to check the other items for the second delivery. The driver would not allow us to inspect the truck. We never received one adult bicycle, one child plasma car and one 32-inch television.

    Great Valley Moving & Storage

I researched a number of well known cross country carriers and got quotes before selecting Great Valley.  Great Valley's quote came in the lowest but I was somewhat hesitant to use them as I'd never heard of them before.  But they were licensed, insured, etc. and had outstanding reviews on Angie's list so we decided to go with them.

The most amazing thing is that I have a stained glass studio and they had to crate all the glass and panels.  They did so on site and built a custom crate to fit it all.  They also moved my husband's safe which was no easy task.  They were extremely professional, friendly and we had a high level of confidence that the trucks would show up when they was supposed to on both ends, which they did.  The cost was so reasonable that we couldn't figure out how they made any money on the move!  We would use them again in a NY minute but I hope I never have to move again!  In our minds, this outfit would be almost impossible to beat from a cost, performance and friendliness standpoint.

    COVAN WORLDWIDE MOVING INC
We had boxes in a storage unit in addition to all the household items. They used a smaller straight truck to get the items from storage. They loaded the 18 wheeler at the house and put the plants on the back of it. We had about 7 large tall plants. They do not guarantee delivering the plants alive which is fine. That night they moved the items from the small truck onto the semi at the warehouse. When they arrived in Bradenton, the only plant I cared about was missing. This plant had been my mother's. I had had it for about 30 years and she had it for probably 20 years. The driver claimed to know nothing about it. He supposedly called the warehouse and no one there knew anything either. My guess is that it was either loaded on to another truck at the warehouse or in the process of loading our storage unit items on to the truck it was knocked off the back and smashed and they just threw it out. I can't think of any other logical reason how a plant disappeared. I saw them load it on the truck. The rolling stand it was on came off the truck. I was really disheartened. But the worst was yet to come. Several days into unpacking, we realized that ALL our drugs were gone. I had a lot of narcotics and other street value drugs. It is our own fault that we did not get that box to the car before they arrived, but NO box should be stolen. The value of replacing all the prescription and non-prescription drugs came to close to $4000. I am disabled with a degenerative brain disease and take quite a few drugs. I had just had them all refilled so I wouldn't have to bother with that right after we moved. So insurance would not pay to replace them. It came out of pocket. The hassles with the 3pharmacies and the 2 sheriff's departments cost me about 18 hours of time. Someone made a lot of money that weekend selling those drugs. Oxycodone and morphine are real easy to get rid of and bring high dollars. Don't use Allied Van Lines who contracted this company.
