    Fantastic. Sunglasses broke and needed some right away. Went to another company and got lip services about their own broken glasses and how they couldn���t be fixed nor could they make a new pair within a day. Went to Schmidt and they were great. Picked a frame and they had glasses made in about 2 hours! The quality is far superior to the ���other��� eyeglass emporium and while our new eyeglass store is further away, it is well worth the drive.

    They were awful. Sunglasses (prescription) that they made fell apart and film was peeling off. Went in to see if they could make a new pair and the sales person got very defensive. He didn���t even offer to sell a new pair just kept saying not responsible. We have used them several times in the past but something has changed. Will not use them again or recommend.

    Initially I began going here because it was one of the only places my insurance accepted. I had no previous knowledge of them or recommendation. However, eventually I experienced a detached retina and had to have emergency surgery. It was very scary, as the doctor I met with was not the one I had been seeing previously. Dr. Mangal was very professional and explained my condition and options for treatment, surgery was scheduled for the following day. Everything went smoothly and 6 months post op my vision is as good as it was prior to the surgery. I have been to every location and they are always very accommodating especially if you have an emergency. Office staff is always very nice. The wait times are sometimes excessive and that would probably be my only complaint.

    Not well. I am reviewing the management of the business here. They have had phone system problems for the last 3-4 years I have been going there. You cannot call the Dr's office directly. You have to go through the phone system for everything. If you need a Rx refill, you leave a message and people are supposed to call back. They don't. The pharmacy attempts to get a refill they don't answer them either. I found out this is because of outdated fax numbers that change from time to time at this practice's phone system. Other various issues as well that relate to appointments, call backs, etc. They have a patient portal that was supposed to solve these issues so that you can get lab work results, request appointments, get Rx refills through the interface. The Dr doesn't get or check his messages. My Dr just shakes his head and says it's a problem. So I have decided to find a new Dr outside of this system. I would not recommend a Dr in this practice because the practice management is a nightmare to deal with.

    I visited the Port St Lucie office which is immaculate and very inviting. I never waited more than 5 minutes to be seen and everyone on the staff was very personable, professional and efficient. Dr. Katz explained  the surgery and lens options and patiently answered all of my questions. The surgery was painless and the results excellent.  And, by the way, the surgery center was also extremely well-run.

    I was more than pleased with Dr. Henri.  She was very professional, thorough, and discussed my choices.  I initially went for distance contacts only, but decided I would like the multi-focus.  I kept (and use) both sets of lenses.  They fit extremely well.  I will see her again and recommend her without hesitation.

    It did not go well. Despite being an in-network participant in my insurance plan, they added many additional fees above and beyond routine co-payments and deductibles. Additionally, their hyper aggressive billing practices are a nightmare. For example, I paid out-of-pocket for eye drops immediately after an appointment. Weeks later, I received a bill in the mail for the same eye drops. I had to find the receipt and haggle with their Billing Department before they would agree that they made an error in double billing me.
    Another example of a billing nightmare was an additional  "facility charge" for use of their surgical center. They claimed to have proof that they would mail to me. After a couple of weeks, I called when no proof arrived in the mail. I called their Billing Department to inquire about the missing proof. They had no explanation but stated that they would mail it again. No proof ever arrived in the mail. I eventually became tired of the back-and-forth and paid the charge to be rid of the issue.
    My procedure is normally a routine one. However, my outcome was subpar and clearly problematic. The procedure caused a separate ocular problem that had to be addressed by another eye specialist at a different facility.
    I would not recommend this provider. There are many better alternatives.

    An excellent experience! The doctor spent an hour fine tuning my exam to tailor it exactly to my best possible vision- seriously it was the most thorough exam I've had since a child in the 80's. They checked more than I expected and have a really excellent selection of frames and options to choose from. They even fit the frames and tweaked them to the most comfortable and symmetrical fit when I went to pick them up- way better then my previous provider at the mall. One last item- they are usual a few days out in exams. I arrived for a 4pm about five minutes early and they took me right in, no excessive waiting. Really a wonderful experience.

    Too much time In W.R. (Over an hour) once in exam room over an hour watching staff flit about with copious interoffice chatter abounding. I'm a patient individual and will not complain, because I'm not in a position to affect change. I later sent them a critique with suggestions to improve service.

    The level of patient care keeps me going back.  He is extremely thorough and explains things well.  He is down-to-earth and professional and identified a couple of early on-set vision issues.  Three of my family members go to him.  They are truly amazing there.  They are the find for eye care in Port Saint Lucie.
