This company is the WORST! Whatever you do don't go with JANOS KREK OF NASSAU MOVERS, he is a THIEF and a LIAR. When the items came to my house, off the van all, of MY boxes were opened and my items were missing. He went through everything I had on the truck, because he held my stuff over a weekend, yet he denies it to cover himself. He stole several paintings worth thousands, jewelry, religious articles and unique sentimental items, that were in my family for years. He charged me an extra $1,000 because he held my items over a weekend behind a "locked gate" during my move. My pictures that did arrive, arrived broken, the frames were in the bottom of the container, and everything had been RANSACKED through by HIM. He is a NO GOOD CREEP. He rifled through everything and took what he wanted. This guy is a SLICK MANIPULATOR. Then he charged me several hundred dollars to put my bed back into the room after I had a new floor put down. My family and I moved only a few miles away from my old house and he ripped me off by charging me $5,000. He is a deceitful liar, and a creep. After he moved my items in I caught him trying to lift a statue out of my house. He is a SCAMMER and a LIAR, don't ever deal with these people you will be sorry. I reported him to the Police and the Better Business Bureau to ensure they know what a RIP OFF, SCAMMER and THIEF he is.

What I liked was the communication to start with. When I arranged for the service the gentleman was professional and asked all the right questions. I was satisfied with the upfront cost of every detail. They even emailed in advance of the date and got a call from him morning of the move, so I was confident we wouldn't be forgotten about etc... ( as we only had one day to make this happen). Right on time our 3 helpers showed up. Mike Robert & Danny. These guys were the A TEAM ... no nonsense, hard working, could barely slow them down to eat some lunch we'd bought. They enjoyed each other / worked well together and really took good care with the whole packing/unpacking -even putting together the beds etc... Great job you guys and keep up the good work!

Went great.  These movers far surpassed any other mover I have ever used in the areas of expertise, professionalism, punctuality and speed.  GREAT GUYS!!  I have had so many bad movers through the years.  It was so nice to have some professionals come in and do the job right.  HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

    A1Ace Movers Inc

I called a few months prior and described our move, distance, concerns and asked any questions I had.  Each item was addressed on the phone as well as a verbal walk through of each item to be moved and a price was quoted.. The move was at an hourly rate plus travel time.  No added costs were added for wrapping, tape or an added stop.  Only the per hour cost of the move plus 4 mattress bags I requested be used.

I added Full Value Insurance with no deductible for 300.00 to my moving cost, hence the final figure of 1100.00.

On moving day they called upon leaving their location and told us the time of arrival so we would be sure to be at the home.

They arrived on time and we walked the house and pointed our important high value items we wished wrapped.  They took care with all items and extra care with our very important items, each being wrapped and blanketed prior to loading. We had no damage from the move.

I would use A1Ace Movers again and I would recommend them to a friend.

Very efficient, price was good and kept us updated. The only downside was by law they could hang on to our household goods for up to a month until the truck was filled and delivered. It was about 30 days until we got our belongings.

    Baymeadows Moving & Storage
My opinion is that Baymeadows and their Tennessee North American Van Lines affiliate did not provide good service. Then, Baymeadows seemed to blame me for the damage caused to my items.  Like many companies, things are fine until you complain.
Baymeadows is probably going to respond to this, so please read my side of things and make your own decisions.
Until the problems occurred, Baymeadows was fine to deal with. Based on their ratings and the quality of their people, we did not shop around.
Baymeadowns used an North American Van Lines affiliate in Tennessee to do the actual move. The problem started when Tennessee North American affiliate decided to transfer my things to a second truck. Unfortunately, the movers did not inventory the items when they transferred them between trucks. According to the Tennessee affiliate, they forgot to transfer three items.
No big deal. The Tennessee branch of North American called a few days later and said that they would ship the items. I was OK with that.
Unfortunately, the Tennessee affiliate packed the missing items poorly and two of the three were damaged. One was fairly expensive.
The owner of Baymeadows spoke with me on the phone. Rather than representing me as his customer, his focus appeared to be to shed blame. In fact, he seemed to assert that it was MY responsibility to inventory the items when they were transferred between trucks and removed from the truck at our destination! The movers did not inventory the items, which is a first for us.
I was not even present when the goods were transferred between trucks, which was when the problem occurred. When I did not agree that the problem was MY fault, he said I had an attitude and threatened to hang up. As is usual in these cases, I thought HE had the attitude.
It's not the money. In my opinion, Baymeadows did not live up to their Angie's List ratings on our move. It may have been the Tennessee North American affiliate's fault. But, it was not MY fault as the Baymeadows owner tried to assert. Baymeadows should have tried to help. They did not.

    Smooth Moves Inc
Joes wife/girlfriend or secretary (she didn't identify herself) said NO WAY would they fix our garage screen door because we could have done it ourselves this last week ( keeping in mind joes crew moved us out TOTALLY) (we had lived there for 11 years). The Safari Screen covered the entire opening and we used the garage as a bonus room. They tore off the bottom which has withstood hurricanes and all sorts of Nor-Easrers. (We are 1 block to the beach) They wouldn't stand by their mistake! She said, 'my boys have never broken anything that they didn't tell her about'. Well their boys did this time because the parts to the screen flashing were in a neat little pile in the corner of the room. She said I had 24 hours to find it, (which I wasn't told) and I just went over to the house yesterday and noticed it. Be careful also, as they 'round up' (their term) their hours. (They said it was policy). My smart phone timer clocked them in AND out.

    Helping Hands Movers Inc
The price was about $100 more than estimated but still reasonable for the work done. The three men were pleasant, hard working and efficient. No problem with damage to furniture and they were careful to wrap furniture well to prevent damage. Getting the estimate and arranging move was very easy and efficient.

    Athletes Movers Jacksonville
The movers arrived on time, albeit in a rented van that appeared to be too small.  The only identification that they had was an old tee shirt that had the company logo.  We would later find that these were just a couple of contractors off the street, hired by Athletes Movers sight unseen.  The two man crew surveyed the entire house and assured us that the job would be "no problem".
By mid-morning I became very concerned about the slow loading of the truck and the lack of available space.  Again, the crew leader indicated that everything would fit in the van.  At noon, the same man approached me and said simply that the van "was full".  This signaled the end of the move as far as the crew was concerned.  I frantically asked them what I was supposed to do and was told only that I would have to "hire them again on another day" in order to move everything.  They could not provide a number for Athletes Movers and said that they only receive jobs from a guy called "Mike".  I tried to call Mike but received only voice mail.
With the new owners of the house arriving, I was forced to leave the house and follow the van to our new residence while still trying to get in touch with "Mike".  We were truly abandoned in a situation that was beyond belief.  As our furniture was unloaded, I noticed a vast amount of damage caused by the movers lacking pads and other crucial equipment.  I was told offhandedly that the company must have some type of insurance to cover the thousands of dollars of damage.
Thanks to some very sympathetic new owner's, we were allowed access to our old home for a few days.  I finally resorted to renting a 26 foot truck from Penske that my wife and I drove to our old address.  During a very long and grueling day, my wife and I (both in our 60's) managed to load the truck to the brim and still had to leave behind some articles.  By this time, Athletes Movers had ceased responding to our calls and e-mails.  We were out thousands of dollars for the move.
To date, Athletes Movers will not respond to queries or requests for repayment or damages.  It turns out that they exist only as a storefront, calling local contractors who actually complete the moves (or at least go through the motions).  We felt intimidated by the two men who presented themselves and our neighbor described them as "thugs", an apt description.
I'd advise anyone to avoid these amateurs and use a "real" moving company for their needs.  I noted that Athletes Movers had violated several provisions of Florida state law:
    1.  They did not obtain a signed contract prior to beginning the move.
    2.  Their truck was not a licensed moving vehicle.
    3.  They did not advise us as to our rights under Florida law (see 1 above).
I have made a video that is available under "Athletes Movers - Avoid at all Costs" or (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enWOGnEu014).

From the initial phone call to Linda, to the movers coming to our home, they were professional, friendly, and very efficient.  The guys worked very quickly, and did not damage any of our furniture or boxes.
They brought two trucks and had 4 guys help.  It was fantastic!  Definitely would use them again, although I do not plan on moving again!  I do recommend them though!!!!
