    First, Because this is a rental unit, I was speaking with the technician by phone. Second, after a couple of quick questions about what was wrong with the machine, the technician then began trying to sell me a protection plan. This went on for 10 minutes. He knew I was not likely interested in the purchase of this plan BEFORE he began my repairs and could thus hinge the quality of his repair on my answer. I find this highly abusive business practice. Had I known this I would not have hired them. I would never buy a "protection plan" without reading the contract just on the word of someone trying to sell it to me over the phone. The washer that was supposed to be fixed failed during the first load of laundry following repair. The technician did not even bother to test the repairs to be certain the problem was fixed. I called them back to have someone come back to look at it. They said their would be no charge as long the repair was related to what the technician did. Can you see where this is going? Third, I was asked to provide my credit card information in order to make payment for this inadequate service only to learn that he had written all of this information down on a piece of paper so he could "call it in" and then proceed to carry my sensitive information around in his truck all day. The lack of security to handle this financial transaction in this day and age is unacceptable. They jack their prices for repair up so they can lower it for you if you buy their protection plan. Had I bought the protection plan, the repair cost would have been $140. I wouldn't have even minded paying the $285 for the repair had I not been made to believe it was disingenuous or performed in bad faith.

    It could hardly go better. Lawrence was at the house in less than an hour after our call. He quickly diagnosed and repaired the leaking dishwasher and advised on appropriate soap quantities and additive types to use or avoid. Absolutely top notch service.

    We had purchased a home with an outdoor kitchen and top brand grill that turned out to be in pretty bad condition requiring major repair and replacement of parts including ceramic rods and gas lighting. Two visits were required to complete the task. Matt from Mr. Appliance originally came out and determined the problems and what parts were needed. Unfortunately some parts were on back order and not readily available but Mr. Appliance persisted and ultimately was able to obtain all necessary parts and Matt accomplished the repairs as well as a lot of cleaning of the grill parts. Throughout the process we were very impressed by the communications from Mr. Appliance who kept us up to date on the progress. Overall a very positive experience.

    Phoned them about 9:30 and explained problem.  They said someone would be there by 2:00.  Repairman arrived about noon.  Diagnosed problem quickly--condensate drain tube was frozen.  Had to remove everything in bottom-freezer (incuding back panel) to access the drain tube.  Used own hair dryer to thaw tube.  He reassembled freezer, waited a few minutes to be sure ice-maker was working.  Accepted coupon I had printed from their website.

    On Richard's first visit, the dryer did not overheat so he could not uncover the problem.  He asked us to let him know the next time the issue occurred.  When it did, we called and he immediately came out (at no additional charge), discovered the source of the problem, and ordered the necessary replacement parts.  Several days later, he returned and performed the repair.  Richard was extremely neat, courteous and professional.  We would definitely used him again for any appliance repair.

    The door repairs were $378 due to having to replace the inner door section. We elected to buy a new range and Richard charged us a reduced fee since no work was done and we were Angie's list subscribers.

    Truly home town service from a family owned business.
    Richard, I want to personally thank you for your prompt and honest service. My
    wife is already on the phone telling the neighbors about you! It is very reassuring
    to find a man with valves in this confused world we live in. Your diagnosis on
    our clothes dryer was correct and the price was more than fair. The extra time
    you spent explaining the problem to my wife was greatly appreciated.  Thanks again.

    I found Carl on Angie's list.  I had a return call from him with 30 minutes of my first call.  We arranged a time that was convenient for me.  Ray arrived on time and was able to diagnose the problem quickly (I had suspected it was just the switch on the door that had failed).  He had the part on the truck and replaced it quickly and efficiently.  He was done within 30 minutes.  I was very pleased with the professional attitude, willingness to show me what he was doing, and the fact that he had the part I needed.

    As others have mentioned, Carl called me and walked me through a diagnosis of the problem with the ice dispenser switch on the phone!   He could tell that it needed work from what I described, so he set up an appointment for the following day.  He arrived on time, and quickly assessed the problem.  Rather than charging me for new parts, he made some changes to the part that must have been previously installed (by the prior owner), and was able to fix the switch in no time.  He only charged me for the visit - 
    I will use Carl and Ray again for all of my appliance repair needs.  I recommend him!!
