    The Outdoor Advantage LLC
Dave responded promptly to my request for an estimate, helped me envision what I wanted and made key suggestions based on his knowledge, experience and creativity. He was extremely flexible with scheduling and making minor modifications to the plans. Ricardo, the crew leader, is professional, experienced, artistic, and an excellent communicator and planner. I could go on and on. Dave, Ricardo, and the rest of the crew worked in very high temperatures to make me 100 percent satisfied and showed me they appreciate my business. I could not be more pleased. Thank you, Outdoor Advantage.

    Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup
We had an excellent man arrive on time as scheduled to accomplish a very difficult task:  Our interior drainage system had been snaked out by a local plumber, but they were not equipped to handle the much larger job -- removing tons of debris and rocks which had accumulated in our main piping system for many years, unbeknownst to us. This main pipe runs under our garage floor, preventing the flow of water from our laundry, toilets and showers. The plumber recommended one supplier who wanted to break through our driveway pavers to get to the drainage issue, and wanted $2,700 to do the job.  We contacted Roto Rooter as a second source.  The specific man on the job was not only a gentleman but persisted for 6 hours because he refused to give up on jetting out the rocks.  This saved us about $4000 in garage flooring costs, and when he was finished, the charge was $1700 -- $1,000 less than the other company quoted.  We were very impressed and relieved since our home insurance didn't cover this type of problem.  Our recommendation to anyone buying an older home:  an inspection to have a plumber put a camera in the drains to be sure this isn't an "unseen" issue which can arise later.

J Campbell Decorative Concrete Resurfacing Inc
We hired Mike from J Campbell Decorative Concrete to resurface our pool deck and the outside of our spa, as well as install a French drain. We were impressed with Mike's confidence in being able to do a great job and make our pool deck look terrific and be funcitional.  We received five quotes from various contractors before choosing J Campbell.  His price was right in the middle and he could get started quickly.  With his stellar Angie's list and BBB ratings, we signed a contract and were excited to see our new pool deck.  We were away on Spring Break when they were able to finally get started, though my parents were there to oversee it.  My mother called to express concern that the French drain was being installed at a distance of over 3 feet from the side of the house which is where the water gathers, rather than next to the house as we had agreed upon.  I talked with Mike and he assured me that he would build up the area where the water pooled against the house so that the water would run towards the drain.  This sounded a little difficult to accomplish to me since we have accordion shutters there and it appeared to me that it would be tough to build it up enough with the shutters located where they are.  But Mike was very confident that it would all work out.  After they were finished I loved the look of my deck and the back of the spa was gorgeous!  However, at the first rain, we had the exact same standing water as before even though Mike had installed an expensive French drain and "built it up" so the water would supposedly run appropriately.  I called him to let him know about the problem.  He came out to check out the problem and then sent someone to "fix" it.  Due to weather, etc, they didn't come when they initially planned, and showed up on a day when I wasn't home.  Imagine my surprise when I came out to my pool deck to find 2 inch diameter pock marks ALL over my pool deck, where our best guess is they drug the machine they had used to grate down the surface in order to build it back up.  These marks are ALL over.   Besides looking bad, the integrity of the surface is compromised and is no longer sealed.  I called Mike once more and he eventually came to check them out.  He told me they were "heel marks" that sometimes show up.  They are NOT heel marks.  They were not there before the man came to "fix" the French drain issue.  Heel marks don't just show up in the middle of the day one day and heel marks don't take off the paint and sealant.  The surface has been scraped and it's like the person was dragging this thing around the pool deck and was completely unaware that it was marring the surface.  Not only are there these marks, THE WATER STILL STANDS!!!  And the parts that they "built up" to try to fix the drainage problem (which didn't fix anything at all) weren't ever fully painted or sealed.  Mike said they would come back and take care of it and we haven't seen or heard from him since.  My husband has called at least 5 times and was convinced that "Mike was a good guy and that he would call us back and take care of the problem" but the job was done in March and April and we still have had NO return calls (as of July!).  I also called and tried to talk to him, but Mike doesn't answer our calls.  We are not complainers and had been very flexible with them and had let them come when they could as they worked around other jobs.  It ended up taking much longer than they had initially said it would and we never once complained.  We are highly disappointed and didn't ask for anything except for the job to finished and done correctly.  Mike even told me that they put the drain where they did because it was easier so that they wouldn't have to "mess with the screen enclosure".  And not to get nit-picky, but a stone on the spa has already detached as well.   Every time I go out to the pool deck, I feel sick to my stomach at the mess that was made of it and the huge amount of money we threw out the window.  Mike seemed like a nice guy and I trusted him.  Before the first rain (when we saw the water pooling everywhere) we were singing his praises and thought the deck looked great.  After seeing the pools of water, we still trusted that he would fix the problem.  Even after the massacre of the deck by their grinding machine, we still believed that he would somehow make it right.  On all fronts we were mistaken.  We would highly advise you not to use his services.  We are still hoping that the phone will ring and that he will rectify the problem.  If so, we will definitely let you know.

We actually accidentally left a poor review for this company, thinking it was the company we had used.  We are sooo sorry.  They called to inform us of the mistake and were unbelievably kind about it.

    Ryan Plumbing
Ryan is the owner but doesn't appear to be "hands on" anymore.   He has his guys do the jobs for him.
After Ryan and I talked on the phone and agreed on the price Ryan came out and told me that because his guys were going to have to get dirty it would cost me more than $700.  I was upset because I already had the concrete patch scheduled to be filled that day and I felt like I had no choice but to use him or spend more money rescheduling the concrete. I reminded him that the hole had already been dug for him.  He insisted it would take his 2 man crew longer and then his guys would have to go change clothes because they would have to lay in the dirt.  Isn't that why plumbers make the big bucks?  Because they get dirty?
I asked him to at least keep his price the same because I had the hole dug for them.  He finally agreed but said it would not be less than $700.  He sent 2 guys.  One guy mostly watched and the other guy fixed the pipe in less than 1 hour.  I paid $700 for less than 1 hour of work but I had no choice.  I was more insulted that Ryan tried to up sell me more because his guys would "have to get dirty".
The pipe was repaired professionally.  I would never consider hiring these guys again.

    ARF Plumbing Co Inc
They did a great job. Originally they did a minor repair but disclose that it might need major work in the future. When I called them back they came and completed the job as promised on time and on budget. I would highly recommend.

I have been using their services for about three years. They are a great company and have been very good. Eric, one of the service guys, has been very great to us. Hillary and Linda in the office are also very nice and make it easy to schedule appointments. They are very good and give you a fair price.
