    I purchased my AC unit from Jim, and my experience was terrible. I usually like to use Home Advisor to schedule services, but went with A Prestige Air believing that they had the best quote. Unfortunately, after the installation of the unit, I found out that the price I had been referencing throughout my conversations with Jim was not accurate - instead, it was much higher. After finding out the correct cost, I called Jim to discuss the pricing. Jim started yelling at me about the fees he has to pay and all the overhead costs that are incurred in the sale. The way Jim spoke to me was disrespectful, hostile, and incredibly unprofessional. I contacted the company and explained the experience I had with Jim, and they failed to reach out to me to follow up. If you are looking for poor customer service and a salesman who is hostile and rude - you have found the right company.

    Choice Home Warranty
    It was in the 90s and we have an elder living with us and the company gave us an appointment for 7 days later. We called the company directly who said that their scheduler was not there, and that they would call back. We also called choice who called the company to expedite things. They told Choice that they would call us back. It was getting extremely hot in our house. No one ever called. We ended up calling another AC company and they came in an hour later and fixed it. We paid $90 for the repair. Meanwhile we called the other company and told them not to bother to come. 6 days later they called that they were coming to which we told them we had cancelled 6 days before because they would not accommodate us and it was sort if an emergency, having an elder living with us. They did not care at all. We live in Orlando FL. Why would you hire a company from Tampa to fix our air? There are hundreds of companies by our house. Well, that's what we ended up doing and voila, fixed in one hour not thanks to Choice.

    Javier is quick to respond and he takes care of all of our tenants with respect. It doesn't matter if I call him to replace a part in an oven part, or an HVAC system he's professional and kind to all! He sends detailed receipts with pictures the same day he services the account, which allows me to communicate with my owners that are often times in different states sometimes even different countries. Javier is honest which is extremely hard to come by these days. Example: He called to tell me that we had sent him a check for a job already done and paid for. I would recommend him to anyone looking for someone you can trust!

    Flavio M from One Hour Air arrived at my home today to perform a six month routine maintenance check. Flavio was very professional and friendly...he identified himself and gave me his business card.. prior entering the home he immediately put shoe covers on as to not dirty the floors (he did this even though I told him it wasn���t necessary). Flavio clearly and effectively explained all the work that he would be doing and took the time to explain the digital thermostat to me and it���s features, something that I was not aware of (he taught me something new today). Flavio did an excellent job at ensuring my a/c system would run problem-free during the summer months and I will definitely be requesting his return for my next visit. I suggest you request Flavio the next time your a/c needs���ll be pleased you did. Thank you Flavio and One Hour Air!

    I had a real mess dealing with my air conditioner. I called a few other companies and they came out but no one could really give me a concrete answer on what was wrong with it. They all just told me to replace it. Well, I couldn't afford that. So, I found THIS company on Angie's List and decided to give them a call for another opinion. The technician came out the same day and told me definitely that I had a leak, so they needed to test it to find the leak. It is a 2 day test where the whole thing is shut off and then in 24 hours the leak areas will show up. Anyway, the test worked and when they came back the 2nd day they were able to tell me exactly how to fix it and gave me a very reasonable price and they even fixed it the same day. That was a while ago and the AC has been running perfectly ever since. I saved so much money by going with A Prestige Air! THANK YOU!!! Thank you for being honest and not pushing me to replace the entire thing when other companies did. It works good as new and the fix was in my budget. I am referring you to all of my friends!

    The experience didn���t go so well. It took a while for me to get them to schedule to come out. I bought 3 units at my house. About half way through the first unit the tech knocked on my door and said, ���I���m sorry to tell you this, but I just quit my job, so I can���t finish your job I���m sure someone from the office will be in touch with you.��� He packed up his stuff and left. I think the guy was very polite, he said, ���I���m really sorry!��� The owner of the company had called me earlier, he was supposed to arrive around 8:30, he didn���t get here till a little after 9:00. Which was no big deal, I live close to Orlando and he was coming from Tampa. I know how I-4 see, so it was no big deal. He did call me and tell me he was going to be a little late. It was no big deal to me. Before he finished the first unit the guy knocks on the door and says, ���it���s been an accumulation of things with the owner of the company and I���ve just resigned and I���m leaving.��� Packs up and left. So, I waited, later on I assumed that somebody from the office would call me at some point. It got towards the end of the day, so I called them. They said, ���Oh yea, we���re aware of the situation. The owner himself will come out. We���ll schedule a time, he���ll come out and he���ll finish the job.��� So, they scheduled it for a few days later. He showed up. All of my units were working at the time and yet he found some things that were a little bit odd that had to be repaired. I thought the repairs were a little bit exorbitant for what he had to do. He couldn���t finish the job either when he was here because he had to order a part for one of the units. Then it was several days later and he came back again and finished all of the job. I paid him and he left. It was just a rather bizarre thing. He told me, ���I���m going to take the cost that you paid Angie���s List off of the repair bill���, so he did give me credit. It was about a $700 repair bill. Then I asked him, ���What���s the warranty? You���re replacing this part, you���ve gone through all through the units, what���s your warranty?��� Usually they will give you a 30 warranty. He just looked at me and said, ���oh, there���s no warranty.��� I said, ���even on the new part? What if it failed?������ ���Well, there is no officially warranty, but if it fails you call me and I���ll take care of it.��� I thought that was strange. Then a week later one of my other units failed. It had been running fine, then strangely enough the exact same part that had failed on the one he was working on. I���m not accusing him of anything or anything like that. It���s odd that after he went through them all and said that the other two units were fine. It was a module that manages the fan blower. It���s a variable speed unit that turns it on and turns it off, that sort of thing. The exact same part failed on another unit about a week after he had gone through it all and said that everything was fine. Of course, there���s no warranty on his work, so there was nothing for me to do. Needless to say, I won���t be using him again. I got somebody else to repair it. Too be perfectly honest, because I knew it was doing the exact same thing that he was showing me the other unit was. I fixed it myself. I was able to buy the part off a website online for about $300. It was a very simple 2 bolts, you take the thing off, plug in the new one and 2 bolts back on. It���s been working perfectly ever since. I just thought it was a little odd that it was the exact same part. I know they���ve got a markup on the parts in there and all of that. I thought if he is charging me $700 for a part that cost $300. That���s a little exorbitant, but I understand they���ve got to make their markups and all that. Overall, it is hard for me not to grade them a ���D���, because of all of the effort. I guess I would maybe make them a ���C��� because the owner did come out, he did wave the service fee. I think I paid $29 for 3 of those units, up to about $90 dollars. He did wave that fee for my trouble, he did explain that the gentleman that came out was one of his best/better technicians, but must have been having a bad day or something. Price rating - With all the part cost and all of that I would rate that a ���D���, I thought that was a bit exorbitant; and the fact that he still charged me a second service charge to come back out the second time of $120 or whatever. It was to put the part in, that is what drove the cost to $700. I would give him a ���C������ on quality simply because the week after he left one of my other units broke down. I would have thought that would have been something that he probably could have found out during one of his service tech. Responsive rating - I would give him a ���B��� for that because he did call, he did come out soon after that, he did take care of the problem and he did wave the service fee. The reason I chose them was because of the deal, that���s the reason I tried these guys.

    Ken Marcus, the technician who performed the work, was highly professional and courteous. He completed the work in the time frame promised, including the recommendation and installation of a germicidal unit inside the air handler. Ken indicated that the germicidal unit was 99.9% effective in the killing and removal of mold, spores and bacteria from the A/C system. This would be of great help in the improvement of air quality inside the home, as well as prolong system life. Ken cleaned up thoroughly when the job was completed.
