  • My husband went to this doctor and said he spent time with him, which was good, but when it was time for a prescription renewal, they didn't answer the phone, wouldn't respond and when I left work early to drive up there to get it (urgent since we were leaving on a trip, he needed the refill) they were extremely rude to me, including the Dr., and lied that they had sent it on to the pharmacy when I had just come from there. I called pharmacy in front of them to ask again. When pharmacy confirmed that they had not faxed or called it on, they finally gave me a prescription for the refill. My husband liked him as a doctor, but he could never reach him. They don't answer their phones......

  • She seems to be efficient and the office is efficient. I have only been there several times so it is hard to give a final judgment. The staff is good and the office environment is quiet. The wait time is short; only about 10 minutes.

  • I had a very similar experience as that of a previous reviewer whose wife suffered from insomnia. I was sufferfing from chronic insomnia after my prescribed Xanax stopped working. I took Xanax for anxiety and for sleeping, and had done so for many years, but never took more than the prescribed amount; when I saw Dr. Barnea, he seemed very judgmental, firing all kinds of questions at me, expressing shock at my pill use, and generally made me feel awful about myself. He said he would not work with me on my insomnia until I was completely off the medications (which did make sense to me) and that the only way I could get off the meds was to go to detox! This seemed like a bit much, but he insisted it was the only way I could get off the Xanax. Though this didn't really resonate with me (I really felt I could have weened off the Xanax myself), I figured he must know what he's talking about... and I desparately wanted help with my insomnia..... so, in spite of me literally leaving his office in tears, and feeling wretched, and vowing never to go back to see hiim again, I did make arrangements to go to detox (which he refused to help me find a center, saying I was on my own finding a detox facility).... This turned out to be a horrible and unnecessary experience that cost me a week of work.....even the detox staff wasn't sure why I was there.  All of this left me feeling very foolish and very bitter toward Dr. Barnea.  Thank you, Angie's List, for providing a venue for telling my experience and showing the reviews of others who feel the same way as I do.

  • These people would not let my son leave! He was not comfortable there, they were highly medicating him with suboxone when he did not have an opiate addiction. They kept giving him risperdone and seroquel!!! 2 very serious meds. They illegally baker acted him to JFK hospital. When he was evaluated the hospital let him go. The told me and his father he was mumbling despondent and was worried about his mental state and then for 3 days would not return our phone calls.... The sheriffs department was called and thank god for them they realized what was happening and my son was able to come home with an officers help the next day!

  • I have been seeing Dr. Wand for about two years now. He takes his time with you. He is very caring. A lot of times, it's difficult with the pain specialists and the pain places around here, but he is not. He has a private office and it's not a clinic. He doesn't have a lot of people waiting around since he is always on time. He is a really good doctor and takes good care. He is very knowledgeable. He also recommended nutritional supplements. He has a massage therapist in his office. I would use his services in the future too.

  • My wife and I arrived at Dr. Barnea's office at 1500 N University Dr,  Suite 202, in Coral Springs at her appointment time of 2:30pm and she was greeted by what initially appeared as a friendly doctor in a white labcoat.  My wifes reason for being there was for treatment of her insomnia.  She also suffers from severe anxiety disorder and post traumatic stress for which she takes Xanax to lessen the symptoms.  This doctor said he would not treat her unless she went to an in-patient detox center for the Xanax, and only then he would put her on Seraquel an antipsychotic drug used to treat bi-polar disorder which my wife does not have.  The drug also causes tons of bad side effects which I looked up on WebMd.  It also causes a rapid heart rate which could kill her since she already suffers from Sinus Tachycardia which she told this doctor she had at the beginning of the session.  What was he thinking?  My wife feels he was trying to paint her as a doctor shopper just looking for some pills to pop.  My wife also related to me that Dr. Barnea asked several sexual and inappropriate questions that had nothing to do with the reason she was there.  Examples:  He asked her if she had any o****** lately and wanted to know about her s** life with her husband.  After these questions he determined that I must be gay and suggested she divorce me.  This doctor should not be practicing and should have his License terminated.  He upset my wife terribly and slandered me in his office.  Also of note he had a creepy self-painted portrait of himself on the wall of his treatment office.  In summary my wife received no treatment and was furthur traumatized by his creepy bedside manner.  Stay away from this psychiatrist at all costs.  We are considering legal action against this doctor.

  • The office is fine. Plenty of parking and easy to locate. The appointment started punctuality and Ms. Gordon went out of her way to calm my fears about entering therapy. She made me feel comfortable almost immediately which helped me open up in therapy.. Ms. Gordon is a skillful listener and asked me thought-provoking questions which helped me to see my situation more clearly. Being in therapy with Ms. Gordon was a positive, life-affirming experience!

  • Judy is completely professional. She is a very good psychology specialist. If someone asked me I would absolutely go out of my way to recommend her. Her advice is outstanding and she has a fantastic bed side manner. She is a very good person. There have been times when I had accidentally called her office and she has always made a point to call me right back. Even on her vacation she told me not to be worried about calling her if I need her help. I have never seen a psychology specialist in the past and Judy has changed my life.

  • I have been seeing him for 4 years. He has been very thorough, warm, and friendly. He is very helpful and willing to answer any questions. He gives you all the information he knows, about what is going on with you. He puts it into terms that I can understand. I have been very pleased.
