Floor Buffing reviews in Cooper City

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • Gerald came out and gave us an honest estimate and explained what he would do and how. He even found more spots that needed extra care than we found. He showed up when he said he would, laid down protective towels, sheets and carpet to keep the floor clean as they went in and out of the house. He did a thorough cleaning of the floor first and then started working. Her showed me a small area that his coworker had done to make sure I liked it. When the job was almost done, there were no issues with some spots I wanted buffed a little more. Gerald and his coworker were very polite and courteous and did a beautiful job. My floors are very shiny and gorgeous. He even gave me some tips on how to keep them looking good and to protect them. I would hire again for sure.

  • Great Finishes made the floor and counters look like new! If there was an A++ rating, they would receive it! Professional, caring, punctual, superior quality control. Pricing was excellent. We've already recommended. Will hire again.

  • Jean responded quickly to our request for an estimate. He even came the same day we called to provide the estimate. He was professional and pleasant to work with. The actual results of his restoration were nothing short of amazing. I could hardly believe he was able to erase nearly all the damage to the vanity surfaces which looked beautiful after his treatment. We have already asked him to come back to work on our travertine pool deck.

  • They misquoted the amount of time that it would take to do the work and they tried to rush the job and leave it half finished because they hadn't put in enough time in the schedule to get it done. They cleaned and repaired three grouts and tile. I had to argue with them to make sure they finished the job. They left it with sand, like grout all over the floor and they didn't polish it. They said that it wouldn't polish well, but it was because the grout wasn't dry and so when they kept polishing it, it kept removing the grout because it wasn't dry. It was awful. When I saw it and I had them come out, and the owner's like, yeah, they just didn't have time to dry, I'm like - I had to call the owner to get the owner to come out to the house because there's sand, like grout sand all over my floor. It's one of those things, right? But the workers didn't have any extra time in their schedule to come back that day, and so they were trying just to get it done and leave the house and never come back. Their price was competitive, they matched the price of the other guys. I had to call them back about five or six times. At the end of the day, I got a hold of them, but I had to put effort into it. The workers made me feel horrible and the owner just cussed at the sales guys for misscheduling it. I won't use that guy again.

  • It all looks wonderful!

Originally contacted KC Tile only for cleaning and sealing grout in the kitchen area. Phil explained that they have not had good results with clear seal, and so only use color seal now, which comes with a 10 year guarantee. However, because the color would not match exactly, all open areas with the same tile should be sealed. They would move all furniture prior to cleaning, and replace it when finished, although all breakable items would have to be removed by us first. Any pieces of furniture that we did not want moved, (heavy china cabinets, bookshelves, etc,) they would protect and work around.

Also wanted marble bathroom vanity cleaned and polished.

After getting a couple of other estimates, we decided we should also redo the grout in one of our bathroom shower, so Phil came back out to measure and that work in his original quote. The final quote came in about $300 less than the other company we were considering - mainly because of the marble and shower. We scheduled the work to be done the same week.

Three workmen arrived right on time, and were very polite and courteous. The foreman, Dilvor, explained the entire process to me again, and then asked me to approve the color seal that we had previously chosen. Perhaps because he applied in on a very dirty grout line (the reason we were having it cleaned and sealed) the color looked very bright to me, and I was very hesitant to approve the color. Dilvor very patiently brought in several more colors that they had in the truck, for me to compare. He even waited for me to call over a neighbor to get another opinion. In the end, we went with the color that had been originally selected. Once the entire room was sealed, it looks just great.

They did a great job on everything. The marble vanity looks almost brand new, and the shower is bright and white once again. And the grout in the kitchen is beautiful. They also left us a small amount of "touch up" sealant in case we move any furniture later on, as well as a gallon of their own all purpose cleaner.

Finally, we were told that there is a minimum charge of $395, for any work. We were also told that if we sell the house, they will come back, after all the furniture is moved out, and seal the areas underneath furniture that we didn't move.

  • Quote & work order process -  In my initial call, I connected with someone right away and set up an appointment.  The estimate/sales person, Rob, was very helpful and was more knowledgeable than the other vendors I got quotes from.  I had a couple follow up questions that took several calls to get an answer on, but it was worth it since the company seemed to clearly have the most experience in what I wanted to have done.
Work completion - The team assigned to the job were knowledgeable and good, but it was clear they wanted to get the job done fast and not necessarily to top quality.  The job took longer than they expected (and was scheduled) so I can see how that caused the team frustrations.  The grout took longer to dry, leaving a chalk all over the floor that was then difficult to clean & polish since it kept coming up.  This required several calls to the owner, which was unpleasant and made me feel uncomfortable, but the owner offered to come out the next day and make sure it was right.  Once the owner saw the problem, he understood the cause and remedied it.  It was not that the team did a poor job, but they were trying to do it in a day and since the grout was not completely dry, they couldn't clean and polish the floor correctly.  I really respected the owner for coming out to the house on a Saturday to see the problem and make sure it was right.  I was disappointed that it had to get to that level, and that the working team didn't address it the way they should off the bat.
Pricing was good, but was not the best.  They did review my other quote and got very close to it.  The minor price difference was worth it to me since they were the most knowledgeable in what needed to be done.
I will definitely use them again, but hope the job is better planned next time.
