Excellent! I've used them twice and they will be my first phone call for all issues related to my home's automation, A/V, wifi and security camera issues. They respond to requests the sane day and come out quickly!

He replaced part and it blew again. He diagnosed that it was an additional part, would take 7-10 days to get the part, and then advised me not to repair it. The cost would outweigh the value of a new tv. I was in the market to upgrade so I really appreciated his honesty. He did not charge me for the blown part, only charged for the service call. Extremely, extremely professional and honest.

Rick told me he could come and get the TV that day (the Friday of LD weekend) and take it to his shop and repair it. Buying a new TV was going to cost me $600-900 even with the Labor Day sales so I felt good about the offer. Rick came as promised on time with his pick up truck and colleague and took the TV. He called me on Labor Day Saturday and told me the TV repair was a power repair problem - probably due to storms and power surges of late here in Miami. The repair would be $225. Today as promised the TV was delivered repaired and all is well with the world again. I highly recommend TV Guy and Rick especially. Great and timely service at a reasonable rate. I would not go anywhere else! Thanks Rick!

It could not have gone better.  Our TV was about six years and stopped working. Based on the diagnostic code a fan had failed.
I called Panasonic support.. The tech support person told me the part number of a fan and told me I could replace it myself. I bought it for around $22. I then found out there were two different fans so I bought another one. When I found out there were actually four (4) fans, I decided I did not want to try to fix it myself.
The shop is just below the Coast Guard Opa-Locka Air Station.so we decided to drop off the TV and shop at the Coast Guard exchange before returning to our home in Coral Gables.
However, when we arrived Rick said he thought he could fix it immediately, so while we shopped at the Coast Guard exchange he fixed the TV.  He even recommended a place to eat lunch.
When we returned after shopping and lunch the TV was fixed. He only charged us for the labor since I had the correct part.

One of the Van Allens (co-owners) fully addressed and solved the issue.  I had used the shop a few years ago for a plasma tv that came with our new house.  They did a great job - I did not review since I was not an Angie's List member at the time.
Our Toshiba went intermittent last Saturday; I spoke with the owners on Monday, dropped it off that day, got a call on Tuesday advising of price and issue; and fixed on Wednesday.  Super service.
They will assist you with getting your tv through the door including having a cool automatic door.  The owner carried my tv to the car to make sure it was properly loaded.
I did some research on the particular issue and would note that authorized Toshiba repair units appear to charge twice the price these wonderful repairmen charged.
    Highly, highly recommended.

    UPDATE:

n my prior review, I extolled the excellence of service.  Unfortunately, the Toshiba only lasted a day before going blank.  I brought the beast back to the shop and one of the owners who serviced the unit said that he was afraid that it might have been a bigger problem, specifically the lcd matrix.  He said he needed to open it up.  I asked about cost/benefit.  He responded, it's a great tv great picture, it's worth the look.  Later that afternoon, he called and pronounced the beast was too far gone and that they would refund my money for the prior repair.  I assumed just the cost of labor would be refunded which is incredible in and of itself.  But to my surprise, the company refunded both labor and the cost of the part.
Ladies and Gentlemen, they don't teach that in business school!  These guys are incredibly honest and stand by their word. If you ever have an issue with your tv, let them look at it before dropping $$ on a new one.
Many thanks to a wonderful operation.

Gave me a Professional Estimate on work. Was extremely honest and helpful. His suggestions were for my benefit and not his.
Will DEFINITELY use his services and would recommend his business.

It went well. They came when they said and brought it back when they said. They charged $59.99 to come and diagnose the problem. They charged $400 to repair the TV, which I definitely debated about since it was 9 yr old TV. But, the TV had been built into the wall unit perfectly, and another would not have fit; this house is a (upscale) vacation rental. So I paid it. Was it fair? Who knows except another TV repairman, but it works like new.

The work went very well. I wasn't home, they did the job, left and called me afterwards.
