End product exceeded my expectations. Work was done promptly as promised. Jereme and his staff were very professional and competent. Very impressed with the whole experience. Would most definitely hire again and heartily recommend to anyone in need of a pool rehab.

Luis and his crew resurfaced our pool several months ago, but due to illness in the family this is the first time I've had to write a review. We were concerned about cost (who isn't?) and were hoping to keep our tile on the pool. Luis said it was in good shape and just needed cleaning and new grout. He came by at the arranged time and completely prepped the pool and regrouted the tilework in just one day. It rained the day of the actual resurfacing but they erected a plastic cover over the whole pool (kept inflated by an industrial fan at one end) and finished the job. Bottom line, our pool likes great, Luis and his crew were on time every time, and we would definitely hire them again. By the way, Luis said he didn't like the way the pool light was installed and repacked it at no extra cost.

The only company out of three that I called from Angie's List that responded to my request for screen repair. The owner came out the day after I called and gave me a quote, which I thought was a little high, but I told him to go ahead with the repair. He did a very professional job, and I was well satisfied with the work, which he did that same day.

Luiz is a true stand up business owner who does what he says and follows through even better. First I had him out for a quote on just fixing the cracks and resurfacing the pool. Once I met him and saw how professional he was, I decided to talk to him about possibly replacing pavers (though it is a very large area). He assured me his company could make the existing pavers look fantastic and that everything would look new upon completion. The quote came back and my end price matched it to the number. I am happy to report that this company does it all and does it above your expectations. You could see the pride put into each and every step of the process. Luiz the owner was there for every step of the process and verified with us each detail we wanted. He had a great crew of employees who work from the time they arrive to the time they leave, while leaving everything pristine each day. The cracks were previously repaired with the wrong size staples and Luiz made sure I saw exactly what he was using and explained the entire process. We texted him and called him with so many questions before and during the process and each and every time he responded and answered every question or concern we had. Even when he completed the job he assured us that if we have any questions, concerns, or anything to not hesitate to call and he will address immediately. This is one business owner who understands the value of the customer and treats them like the only one, impressive. The end product is truly amazing as the pool looks brand new with new vibrant colors, the pavers are like new, and the outdoor area is the show piece of our home. They had so many colors and options to choose from and they do not hesitate to show you all the combinations you want to see to personalize your pool. We are ecstatic with the results and the professionalism we were shown every step of the way.

Luis actually came almost a year ago to give us an estimate but we had to delay the job due to some more urgent repairs due to the hurricane in September. He honored the price as quoted. The job was completed on time and as promised. Liuz is meticulous and quotes an honest price. We were simply going to have the company who built the pool for us 16 years ago come back and resurface but the price was almost 1500 more. We will be having Luiz come back in a few months to clean, seal and repair our pool pavers. You can't go wrong with this company. We love our pool and use it alot. Its as good as it was when new now. Thanks Luiz!

When I called for quote they were right out. I explained very unhappy with current pool service as they never emptied trap by motor and now cover was so tight I couldn't open it. Explained what they would do weekly and told me they would let me know if pool needed water fill that I would need to watch the level as technician would not be able to stay that long.

I retained Steve Consterdine and his associates at Monkey Rock Pools to provide full pool service from late 2011 through August of 2016. Initially Steve provided a quality, reasonably priced, cleaning service and my pool was rather consistently looking good. Though I thought everything was included with the service I was paying for; a few months later after a couple weeks of my pool not looking its best; Steve advised he had tested for phosphates and the phosphate level in my pool was very high. He indicated that due to the expense of the treatment chemicals; they were not included; and he could bill me for a treatment or I could order the chemicals myself. Apparently that was a little asterisk he had failed to mention to me when I retained him. Aside from that annoyance; Steve continued to provide pretty good service; though his repairs to my pool scrubber always somehow took multiple weeks; as though he was overbooked and didn't have time to service equipment in a timely manner. Things continued to be pretty good until my pool got assigned to one of his associates. With Steve no longer servicing my account himself; communication regarding needed repairs and timing of new filter purchases declined to almost none. My pool was not as clear as it should have been for several weeks this past summer since the tech he was sending to my house apparently did not spend the amount of time that Steve used to spend making sure everything was good; and also likely because they never told me when I needed a new filter or other maintenance purchases anymore. I advised Steve on a couple occasions that I'd appreciate better communication regarding when things needed to be serviced; however they never really got better at telling me about things that needed to be taken care of. Though I was close to seeking out a new pool company a few times already; Steve's handling of the latest issue that occurred was inexcusably unprofessional and pushed me to immediately retain a new pool service company. My impeller had broken and I authorized Steve to repair it for me. After his determining the problem and my immediately authorizing the repair on Tuesday; the following Sunday afternoon he texted me out of the blue and asked if he could come over to perform the repairs. I was out at the time but told him he could come on over and take care of it. By the time I got home; I had forgotten about his text; so it wasn't until later in the week I remembered and went to look to see if he had actually done the repair work. He had left the old broken impeller; however what I noted more immediately was the water squirting out of two pinhole cracks in the impeller pump housing; where he had apparently not used due care in handling the parts as he performed the requested repairs. I immediately took a photo of the problem and sent it to him; as I was annoyed that he had not contacted me to disclose the damage and proactively suggest a fix for it. After waiting a week for a reply; I had not heard from him; so I thought perhaps my email got lost. I reached out again and received a reply where he stated "I did not reply due to the fact I would say something I may later regret. I gave up my one day off to get your pool water circulating..." So instead of an apology and suggestion for corrective action; I received a message advising that he was apparently upset to the point he felt he may say something he would regret. I was truly dumbfounded that he was upset with me for requesting that he fix my equipment that had been damaged and then went on to lament he had come out on his day off to perform the initial repair. I had not even bugged him about when he was going to come and had no expectation of his showing up on Sunday; so that was completely his choice; not a request I had made or favor I had asked of him. I proceeded to inquire as to how he intended to resolve the damages to try to reach an agreeable resolution to the issue hhe created; however he simply sent me a final invoice and has been completely non-responsive to my repeated attempts to contact him via text and email. I finally paid the amount he requested on the final invoice in the interest of not having to waste additional time and money trying to contact him. He never reached out to offer an apology and he never attempted to fix the problem he created. I ended up having to spend an evening repairing the cracked housing myself after it became clear Steve had no intentions of doing anything to correct the damaged housing. His complete disregard for my time and his lack of communication ultimately ending with his refusal to reply to me at all speaks volumes about his personality and how you can expect to be treated as a valued customer of Monkey Rock Pools. Given my experiences; I would suggest that you save yourself the the headache of trying to deal with Steve and company and just find a pool service other than Monkey Rock Pools to begin with.

It was a fantastic experience for me. He told me how it was going to go and it went exactly as he said it would. I was concerned that having this type of work done would be so intrusive and cause a lot of distraction to our home environment but to my surprise and delight they came immediately, and were half way done before I even knew it had begun, and they were finished within the time frame quoted. Peter was always in communication with me as the project continued and that alone is worth the price of admission because so many other contractors fail on this point. He also saved us a few hundred dollars by doing the pool treatment that our pool service would have charged three times as much. I highly recommend this company!

Brian is running a top-notch service program. He shows up weekly to clean and maintain the pool and spa. He even showed up the week of Hurricane Irma when the power was out! He brings all his own equipment, and our renters have been enjoying a sparkling pool with no hassle. We would recommend him to anyone in the Pinellas area for professional, prompt pool service for a reasonable price. Don't go to the big companies around here for your pool maintenance- pick a owner operator like Brian and you won't regret it.

DO NOT USE THIS UNETHICAL COMPANY!! I urge you to read the other poor reviews of Florida Pool Tech, LLC before you consider hiring them to understand who you are dealing with. We called Florida Pool Tech on 10-19-17 to help us with a leak in our residential pool. They scheduled a pool inspection service on 10-25-17 with the owner's son "Joe". After 3 visits (each of which Joe was severely late on arrival) spanning over 2 weeks, we were given 3 different locations of the leak resulting in a $1,250 repair estimate. Joe inaccurately diagnosed the final leak was coming from the subterranean water return pipes; specifically, the return pipe running to the deep end of the pool. We waited before engaging this company to dig through our concrete pool as we watched the water continue to drain below the water return pipe outlet (return jet). I called Joe upset with the unfolding events and was met with severe hostility. Joe called me names, yelled at me, threatened me with a lien against my home if I did not pay the initial leak detection fee of $275, he laughed at me and accused me of building "walls" preventing him from doing his job. Three failed attempts at professionally locating the leak was evidence enough to hire another leak detection company. We hired Florida Leak Locators, Inc (800-557-2207) on 11-13-17 and they immediately came to our aid. After 10 minutes of diving the pool, "Shawn" found the leak in the main drain and repaired it with double epoxy. The job was completed in 45 minutes total. No leak, no more. Florida Pool Tech is either unskilled, unethical or both; either way they are very unprofessional and a company this home owner highly recommends you stay away from for sake of your own sanity. I have invoices, a written $1,250 estimate for repair from Florida Pool Tech supported with pictures and the final service invoice from Florida Leak Locators complete with technician notes to support what transpired. Shawn with Florida Leak Locators rightly said "There are two types of pools: one that has a leak and one that will have a leak!". I hope this review helps you. Good luck and happy hunting!
