It was horrible. First, I'm coming in there and I'm on a wheelchair. Obviously, I need some kind of assistance. It would be great if you would just come and greet me. I already knew what I wanted. Because I'm handicapped, I already knew specifics of what kind of range I wanted. I needed a slide-in and I needed the controls on the front. I already knew what washer and stuff I wanted because I wanted controls on the front. So, I kind of already knew what I wanted. So, I needed people to just come and take my order. I finally went to the desk and I said, "I need somebody." All of them were available. They just kept chatting with each other. Nobody was busy. None of them were busy. It wasn't like they were working. They were chatty, happy. All of them, There was like six of them. None of them were actually working. I still had to go to the desk to ask for assistance. They bring me this woman. She was definitely kind of new. She didn't really know what she was doing. It was her that did the two dryers on my order, instead of a washer. I said, "Okay. I want this one and this one. I want stainless steel." I looked at the fridges. I didn't have a height requirement. I didn't have a width minimum or anything like that in my new kitchen. I said, "Could you show me these?" It basically was between LG and Samsung model. I asked her the differences. "Show me this. Which one do you think is better?" She couldn't answer any of that. So I basically picked the one that I thought was better, which was great. I spent over a half hour at the register, with her doing the warranties and her doing this sale on this and this sale on that. I spent over 30 minutes sitting there on my chair - other people would have been standing - at the register, while she is trying to figure all that out, having to bring the manager over to get authorization for this and authorization for that. I literally spent more time at that register than I did looking at the items. That shouldn't happen.

They called me up and told me what time they were going to be there. They looked at my order. They probably glanced at the order. Any responsible person would have looked at the order. A couple of hours later they called me again to let me know that they were going to be there within 30 minutes. Somebody probably looked at that order again or maybe not. It would probably be a good idea to glance and see what you're delivering. They bring the fridge, they bring the range and they bring two dryers. They tell me, "We'll fix that. We'll actually give you the washing machine for a half price." But, they wouldn't deliver the washing machine for another three days because they don't deliver on Wednesday or some crap like that. They brought it three days later. I think it would be important to speak English. I have nothing against somebody that doesn't. But when you're working with a customer, you have to be able to communicate with them. Not one of them spoke English. At least have one that can communicate. The installers didn't speak English. They installed everything but we could not go over anything because they didn't understand me and I didn't understand them. So there was no questions that I could ask or anything. When it's just a simple washer dryer, you're assuming that it's going to be installed right. So, they brought two dryers. No one seemed to check the order to make sure that that was correct. They could have solved this problem early that morning when they were loading the truck.

It was $8000 for the same appliances that I purchased at another provider for just over $6000. I ordered these online. They call you right after you get your order because it's going to be delivered to their store. So they are directly involved. They told me they're going to be ordered and it's going to take at least two to three weeks for them to get to the store. I'm like, "Alright." The day that I close in the house, I call them. They didn't have any of the appliances yet. I said, "Alright." It wasn't a big deal to me because I hadn't moved in or anything yet. Two weeks went by, I called them again. They still didn't have them, not one of them. I asked them, "Why? What's going on?" They couldn't even tell me. They didn't know. But they gave me a date of February 21st as when they will be able to have everything. So, I waited another week because I wanted an answer on why this was going on. I was giving them an opportunity to fix the situation. I actually really liked Lowe's. They're usually pretty good to me, except right then. After another week, I canceled my order. I canceled it and told them to give my money back. That same day, I went to another provider and got what I wanted.

It's not the appliances that I have a problem with. It's them and their salespeople, their delivery and installation people. Yesterday, their installation of the washing machine hose failed and flooded my laundry room and then flooded by den. We took pictures and everything. I called them. They said that they were going to try and get somebody out today to help clean up the mess and everything. They never even called me back. I emailed them back saying, "I can't believe you guys haven't called me." Finally, then somebody called me and they told me that they would get somebody out early Monday morning. Now it's noon time. Still nothing. I emailed them back at noon time actually saying, "I cannot believe you guys haven't even called me. Even more of my items are damaged." The drain hose was what came undone. They charged $80 for installation.

The appliances we purchased were described and priced close to the top end of the market.  The refrigerator makes noises that are explained as normal, but the gurgling, whooshing, and popping noises will draw your attention.  The dishwasher is rated as the quietest they carried, and includes a disposal.  The machine performs fine while washing, heck it's hardly noticeable, but the disposal is so loud it drowns out conversation.
There isn't anything so radically wrong with these appliances that it warrants returning them to the retailer, but we'll go to a different store when these need to be replaced.

Purchase of a GE washer & dryer set in August, 2013.  Called 4/16/14 to schedule warranty repair for dryer.  Scheduled for 4/24/14, Long time to wait but......   Service called  4/24/14, date of scheduled repair @ 9:30 AM to give wilndow of repair.  OK.  Apsco then calls back saying they were no longer doing warranty repairs for GE and gave me the number to call.  NO heads up or written notices to customers notifing them of their sudden decision.  They Just lost my business for lack of professional standards.

Excellent company to deal with. Salesman was very helpful in the show room and showed us exactly what we asked for. Delivery was scheduled for a Monday after purchase on Friday. They called first thing Monday and schedule a time between 9:30 and 12:30 and said they would call 15 minutes before delivery which they did. They were on time and the delivery men were courteous and very professional. Delivery men had to change power cords for stove and dryer which was promptly done. American also supplied braided hoses for the washing machine, so I was able to return those which I purchased. This is an excellent company and anyone in the market for used or new appliance should visit them prior to going to any and quot;Big Box retailer. You receive a 30 day guarantee and 23 month warrantee for service if required for service charge of and lt;$20 plus the cost of replacement part if required. If you need appliances you should check here first!

The sales person at HH Gregg was very accomodating. The delivery was promised for 9/21/12 and the actual delivery ended up being 10/11/12. HH Gregg contracts out for their installation and delivery and I feel this is a big mistake. The installation and delivery was truly a disaster. The scheduler would call to verify the address and told me that the installers would call to let me know the delivery time and then they wouldn't call before coming. This happened multiple times. I have never seen a more disorganized group of people in my life.

I was given an adjustment due to all of these problems but I was still so horrified with this experience that I will never go to HH Gregg to purchase anything again.

I originally was very pleased with my experience with APSCO however, the best way to judge a company is how they act when things don't go quite right. The dishwasher I purchased in April of 2011 stopped working in February of 2012 - eight months of use. It turned out the control panel had failed. A technician came out a couple of weeks later to replace the control panel (the length of time was waiting for the part to arrive). The replacement panel was non-functioning and appeared to be used as the technician noticed coffee stains on it. Two weeks later another control panel arrived which did work and was presumable new. This was all in March 2012.

In between control panels I went over to the APSCO store in Clearwater and voiced my concerns about the unit being a lemon and that I'd be happier with a new unit installed. Especially in light of ratings in Consumer Reports which had my brand listed as the most repair-prone. The salesman I spoke with basically said to me and quot;We don't make them we just sell them and if we had to replace every unit from a dissatisfied customer we'd go out of business so what would you do if you were me?and quot; He then proceeded to spend about 20 minutes telling me how hard it is to be salesman winking at me the entire time as if we were both in on some big secret. The salesman who sold me the unit in the first place studiously ignored all this.

On March 28, 2012 a new control (the second one) was installed and seemed to work fine - up until May 4th, 2012 at which point the control panel failed again. I went back to APSCO in Clearwater on May 6th 2012 and spoke with yet another salesman (the original salesman who sold me the unit was once again present but made sure to ignore me). I presented the history of the unit and that I was afraid that I had purchased a lemon. I was told I'd have to deal with service, that he was sales and wasn't responsible and it wasn't his problem. He also went on to say that I don't have anything to complain about as I got a good year out of the unit in the first place. I mentioned that actually it only worked for eight months before it failed so I didn't get a good year out of it. Notwithstanding the fact that one would expect a dishwasher to last more than a year. When I said that I was afraid that I'd purchased a lemon and that I wanted them to make good of their promise of 100% customer satisfaction as listed on their website and replace the unit he told me that was a and quot;crazyand quot; statement. I protested that I wasn't crazy and he replied that he wasn't calling me crazy just my statement. He then proceeded to return to his newspaper and ignored me.

I cannot recommend this company in any way, shape or form - they do not stand behind their products and their customer service skills are nil.

I own a refrigerator, stove and microwave that are all a bit over 10 years old and a dry that is almost 15 years. These appliances will surely fail in the next fiver years or so and they will not be replaced by APSCO. I mentioned this and the only response was a shrug.

They are like my mechanic! They are terrific! The tech that they send out are always professional in a clean crisp uniform! They do a wonderful job educating you on what the issue is and what the different options are for replacing the part or the whole unit. I am never pressured to buy a new appliance and I always get a free estimate. They always clean up after themselves too!
