    Pasadena Lakes Animal Clinic

I have been using them for a long time. I take my dog to them every six months. What I don't like what they charge for is an office charge. I don't like that. I have been with them for almost 15-20 years and he still charges me office charges. That's what I don't like. The charges depend on what he does; if he gives them medicine or if he is sick or anything it would cost me over $100,  that is with the office visit which he shouldn't be charging an office visit, I don't think. He has been good and is a pretty good doctor; he is a pretty good vet. He shouldn't be charging so much. The quality is good, but it takes them so long to get the pet in.

    Whaley Animal Hospital
A stray 5 month old kitten was found with a broken leg and taken to another vet. The dr there said the kitten might never walk as he was dragging that leg and unable to walk on that leg at all. He said the leg would either have to be amputated or the cat euthanized and he wrapped the leg in a very awkward position. The cats paw was dragging behind him and he couldn't walk on the leg at all.
He was taken to Whaley's Animal Hospital and Dr.Swearingen looked at him. He said the cat had had a broken jaw from blunt force trauma but that had healed but the leg was badly broken. He said he thought the cat might be able to walk again and did surgery to put a pin in the bone. He was at the hospital 4 days. When he came back he was actually walking on the leg. He went back to the dr today and will have the pin removed in 3 weeks but the dr says he should be just fine. He's walking with a limp for the moment but playing and acting like a healthy 5 month old baby would act. Dr. Swearingen gave him his life back. Here is a Dr that cares. His prices are reasonable

    SMILING PETS MOBILE VET
My mobile vet had retired and was looking for someone reasonable but good.  I researched on the net and tried to find user reviews and decided to try Smiling Pets.  They called the day before to confirm the appt and then called when they were on their way.   They ( the dr and 2 assistants) arrived in a very clean van which I was welcome to go into.  They helped me get the dogs in the van and he examined them and weighed them.  They were treated kindly and given treats and handled gently and respectfully.  I had asked him about my older dogs breathing so he brought her back and did a recheck to see if he could hear anything specifically. I was given meds for the cat ( who had 2 abscesses on his foot) and some medication to try for my older dogs incontinence.
The whole bill was $269 but that was for 3 animals, plus the shots, meds, exams and the mobile visit.  The dr. answered all my questions professionally and politely and both me and the animals were treated with respect.
I would definitely recommend this service to anyone who needs or wants mobile veterinary work.
