    Value Plus Window Cleaning LLC
Scott and Vickie arrived on time and got to work immediately; Scott discussed gutter patch and also explained aboout gutters not being secure enough to drain at proper angle.  He repaired cracked edge, cleaned and adjusted gutters.  We discussed future visit to to add hangers to secure gutters.  Vickie began windows and did a great job, inside and out.  She cleaned windows, tracks, frames.  She put down towels on the floor to catch drips but she was so neat I don't think there was any wet spots on the floor.  When Scott finished the gutters he helped her finish up the last few windows.  They were friendly, courteous, professional and efficient.  Prior to that service day, Scott kept me informed about his schedule and changes that needed to be made.

    Russell Screen Repair Services
It went fine.  Terry Russell is the owner and he did the work along with another worker.  He took the door that needed new screen to his workshop and returned it a few days later.  Then he adjusted it to ensure it opened and closed smoothly and did not stick in the track.  The gutters may need additional work to secure them but we opted not to have that done at this time.  He secured them in several places where the installer had not used enough screws and spikes.

    Lafleur Builders
Jimmy LeFleur came out to the house to estimate within a few days of my call. He was on time, asked me some questions, took some measurements, told me when he would have his estimate, shook hands and left. All very professional.
Jimmy came back to review the estimate with me in person, on time, as promised. He was very thorough in explaining exactly what he was going to do, what materials he would use, who would be working on the job, and how long he expected it to take.
I work from home so, I was able to monitor the entire project, start-to-finish. Jimmy and his crew showed up to start work when expected and work progressed continuously until completed. There were some days lost due to weather but, all in all, everything ran on schedule. About that schedule; several issues were encountered with my roof. There were several layers of old roofing that had to be removed and a dozen or so roof rafters were rotted and had to be replaced. There was an 8 foot section of supporting sidewall that was rotted and had to be replaced and resided. Another 8 foot or so of nonsupporting sidewall was also replaced and re-sided. Every time the crew encountered a problem, Jimmy would call me out to take a look, explain the problem, recommend a solution, and get my approval before proceeding.
Jimmy and his crew were always very polite, courteous, and professional. They cleaned up and covered any exposed roof opening every day before leaving. Jimmy would knock on the door every afternoon to let me know they were leaving and to give me a progress/status report. The final clean-up included running a large magnet over the lawn to pick up any stray roofing nails. I was amazed at the number of old rusty nails from former projects were found. There were a couple of foundation plants lost to the process but, I fully understood that potential before embarking on this project. Considering the amount of material removed from the old roof and the amount of work required to repair the walls and rafters, it certainly could have been much worse.
Due to all of the extra work that was needed, the project took a full week longer than expected. The final cost was slightly higher than the estimate as well. There is no way anyone could have foreseen the amount of damage that needed repair until the old layers were removed. I feel I was treated very fairly with regards to these unexpected issues.
I was so impressed by the quality of work and attention to detail, that towards the end of the project, I asked for an estimate to build an 8 x 16 foot, maintenance free deck off the back of the house. We agreed on a price, I signed another contract, and a few days later I had a completed deck.
I will say that the original estimate I received from LeFleur Builders was a bit higher than some others. However, once you take into account everything that Jimmy includes in the price that others will charge extra for, it comes out fairly even. The customer service and professionalism is a bonus. These are the kind of guys you want doing work for you! They certainly will have my future business.

    Absolute Aluminum Inc
Contacted company about installing gutters and downspouts around home--no previous gutters.   Initial call to company by phone and appointment was set up with salesperson Caleb.  Came out on 9/26/13 and took measurements, gave info about size/type of gutters and amount of downspouts and placement of them.  I informed him that the reason for gutters was because of new mulch (rocks removed) and draining directly at base of home.  He stated that downspouts would be extended to cement border to drain onto lawn.  Price as quoted and agreed upon.  Required a deposit, I think he said to secure spot on installation calendar (I could be wrong about reason).  Anyway, paid with credit card $122.   Caleb informed me that most or all further communication would be via email if agreeable, but that calls can be made as well.  All communication was via email, from "welcome and thanks" to updates regarding schedule timeline.  There had been much rain in this area so I knew that there would be a wait period.  Finally a month later work was scheduled and completed. There was a slight issue that not all the downspouts extended out over the border and I notified them (via email) and sent pictures attached.  The next day I received an email back from Dave and was assured that someone would be out to take a look and fix the problem.  Sure enough, Eddie came out and added longer downspouts so that everything now hangs over the border onto the lawn.  Eddie explained a slight miscalculation in measurements and that cost was based on that original calculation.  I told him that I was going on the verbal explanation from salesperson as to how the downspouts would extend. I would have other work done by this company.
I gave a B for price because I felt it to be a good and fair pricefor the job.
FYI: (now I know) when having gutter and downspout installation whether with this or any other company, be sure that the exact length and location of downspouts are in the drawing as well as calculated in the costs,

I had a very good experience with them. They came out, gave me an estimate and came a few days later to do the job. They did a professional job and they knew what they were doing. The job came out the way we want it to and they said that they will come back if if there will be problems. They were also reliable and on time.

    The Heights Aluminum Inc
Picked this company because they had done work for a neighbor, who was very satisfied. From first phone contact, staff were very responsive and professional, and were timely in coming in to appraise the job. Corey, the rep, was very informative in his presentation. We made phone contact prior to installation to make a slight change, and Corey was very responsive and helpful at that time as well. The installation was scheduled and a guaranteed estimate given for the work. Installers arrived on time and were very efficient in their work, and left the area completely clean after the installation. The installers went over the job in detail before starting to be sure they understood my wishes. We could not be happier with the result. This is a very professional and reputable contractor.
