    GJC Window & Door Co
We had all windows and interior/exterior doors replaced in our home. The house was built in 1987. The Florida weather was not kind to the existing windows/doors and needed to be updated. GJC did a wonderful job replacing so many things. They did the job on-time, did a very professional job, and I would highly recommend them! Our house looks totally new! Thank you GJC!!

Working with Dave was excellent from the start. I had a very shirt window in which to have work completed and he went to great lengths to accommodate that. I needed some irregular/complicated trim work which were no problem for Dave. Turned out better than I could've imagined. Dave will definitely be my go-to guy from now on. Definitely recommend.

We got to the point where we had to replace all of the windows in our 30-yr old house. After working with Jeff Reinhardt from Custom Home Repairs before, he was the 1st and only person we called for this project. As before when he did our sliders, he was extremely professional, worked around our schedule and did the job right. He's extremely detail oriented and the quality of work cannot be compared. When we were up North, we had to replace windows in our home, and it was not a great experience. Compared to that job, Jeff really made the whole project easy for us. He guided us to the windows we needed; price-shopped for the best price and quality; walked us through the entire process and did the work in a timely fashion at a reasonable price. I would absolutely recommend Jeff and the Custom Home Repairs Inc. folks for any home improvement project! They are First Class all the way!

    Storm Solutions Inc
We had a big job to do. We decided to install hurricane protection on our 2,600 sq. foot home near the water in Placida. We had many choices, shutters, screens, or impact windows and doors. Here is our story.
    Sales-
I met with three companies before deciding on Storm Solutions. The others were ok, but Storm took the time to answer our every question and explain all the options available to us. Our salesman, Scott, visited our home five or six times to explain every little detail. The owner of Storm Solutions, Jim Hawley was here multiple times to answer some technical questions I had about the procedure and to check that everything was going to work properly. He also brought his screen specialist here to verify that we could conceal the motorized lanai screen above the existing soffit.

We decided to replace all (except for two) of our doors and windows with impact reisistant, energy efficient windows from PGT and doors from Therma Tru. Beyond the hurricane protection, this would also gain us the effieciency of the e-glass. The two doors we did not replace were better protected by using a motorized 25 foot hurricane screen. We also installed a new impact, insulated garage door and motorized bug screen for the garage.
    Installation-
We started our project on 12/2/2013. The door and window crew (Marvin and Courtney) would remove one old window or door and replace it with the new impact window/door. That way the house was never exposed. They worked quickly, answered my every question (I had many), always kept the worksite clean and protected. The took extra time to make sure I was happy with each install as they went. They made sure every window and every door and lock set opened and closed like butter.
During this time the motorized screen for the lanai was installed. Buddy, the installer did a fabulous job and concealed the 10" by 10" screen box within my soffit as I wished. Unless the screen is deployed you would not know it is there. An added bonus to the screen beyond wind protection is that it can be lowered on a rainy or cold day to make an indoor/outdoor room on the lanai.
The impact garage door/bug screen was installed by Action doors (coordinated by Storm Solutions). They did a good job with that. Storm Solutions also sent a wind mitigation inspector after the job was complete so we could get the proper insurance rate reduction.
    Painting-
After all the hardware was installed, the doors had be painted (they come with only factory primer). The windows also needed to be "blended" around the openings to make the home  look original. The paint crew (Juan and Allen) were here quite a few days making everything look perfect. They painted two coats on all the doors, replaced, repaired and painted a stucco wall where we had to change an opening, trimmed out all the windows and made everything look brand new. We were amazed at the time they took to get everything just right. They told me "if you are happy, we are happy". That is what I like to hear from a vendor!
    Verdict-
This was a big, multi faceted project. From designing to ordering to installing to painting, Storm Solutions made it easy. Communication was always good, the workers were all great and everything went well. We are very glad we chose Jim Hawley and Storm solutions for this big upgrade project. We would highly recommend Storm Solutions to anyone who needs any type of hurricane protection.

Working with Jeff was great. He was very professional and did a great job. His price was fair and his estimate was accurate. He showed up when he said he would...and that's saying a lot in this area! He gave us the quote, ordered the materials and had the job done in a few weeks. It was great working with him and we'd definitely recommend him and use him again for our next "honey-do" project!

There was a problem with scheduling. I was initially told the work would be done Thursday and made arrangements with my work. But when when called to confirm my time window on Tuesday the appointment was now for Wednesday and couldn't be changed. I don't know why this is a two step process. Once the install team arrived, the experience took a decided turn for the better. They where very clean, courteous and friendly. They put down a tarp in their work area on my lanai and confined the work there, creating no mess for me to clean up. They had all the tools and parts they needed with them to complete the work and provided tips for better maintaining my sliding doors. They worked quickly and efficiently without seeming to be in a hurry completing the job in under two hours. All old parts and weatherstripping left with them when they finished. A job well done, start to finish. And the results! My sliders no longer stick, opening and closing  them is now literary a one finger nearly silent operation.

They are out of Fort Meyers. They come every couple of weeks to the area where I live. You need to schedule a couple of weeks in advance. The distance is one thing that I was concerned about, but that didn?t seem to be a problem. I thought that the price was pretty reasonable. They were on time. They set up everything and everything was protected. They covered the work area and they cleaned up. THE DOORS SLIDE LIKE BUTTER!!! If you hit it hard, then it will slide too fast and will bounce back and forth. It?s impressive. They explained various options to upgrade with a better slider and they also gave the prices, but there was no pressure. They just did the basic work. I would use their services in the future too.

Contacted company re: repairs to sliding doors to lanai; 2 repair people arrived within specified time range; described work to be done and cost; gave various options and costs for "upgrade" of parts used; not pushy; settled on original plan; they were friendly and pleasant; worked well together; they set up near job and protected what needed to be covered; job done in an efficient and timely manner. Cleaned up, would never know someone did work other than the doors slide "like butter on a hot pan" YAY!!! Am having company out again to do the same for other sliding doors. Definitely worth the money.

I obtained this # from neighbor and began calling and calling and calling--tried at least 6 times over 2 weeks and each time the recording said "Will, not available, leave message" then it says can not leave message as mailbox is full. Disappointed.
