    Florida Orthopaedic Institute
    Called to schedule - that was fine.  Got a call later advising me that my insurance had refused to cover the procedure, so I called to get details to have when I contacted my insurance provider.  Never did get anyone to talk to me about that, but I later received an estimate of my cost that said nothing about insurance denial.  Also got a call to expect packet in mail to complete prior to my procedure, but it never came.  Attempts to talk to the person who handled this were futile - eventually resorted to driving to sun city office to get someone to talk to me and make sure my procedure had not been cancelled.  The person at the desk confirmed my surgery date and sent an email to the person I had been trying to reach, and I finally got the packet the day prior to my procedure.  Surgery center was wonderful - I have no complaints about my treatment and people taking care of me.  Never met surgeon.  Called for follow up as advised and set appointment.  Got a robocall at night cancelling that appointment.  Called to reschedule, and was pushed back an additional two weeks - five weeks after procedure.  I need physical therapy, and have been in unrelenting pain since the second week of recovery, so I felt that five weeks was far too long.  I told the person on the phone that I was in constant pain and I was advised to go to a walk in clinic.  I scheduled the appointment, but I'm done.  I made an appointment with my primary and will see her  the day before my original follow-up.  Hopefully she can help me get the physical therapy I need and another orthopedic specialist.  I intend to fire them.

    I really don't remember.  They said they didn't have any surgeons there and they were waiting to move me to the other part of the hospital who did have surgeons.  They waited all day and by the time they moved me, of course, the surgeons had went home for the night.  Besides the fact they didn't have any surgeons there, they were good.

    The clinic twice failed to fax my prescription in a timely manner leading to me being unable to get the insurance company to approve it.  They also refused to provide a pre-authorization to my insurance company for the prescription they wrote.  This lead to me going without medications for two days.  During this time, the shingles spread to my eye, and I had to go to the eye doctor to try to secure medication.  When I went to their clinic on 7/6, I just had a blister under one nostril.  The entire side of my right face is now swollen, and my nose is covered with pustules.  Shingles are extremely painful, and I went without the care I needed for two days.  The clinic did not provide any notice of their policy at sign-in.  Their website says that some insurance companies may require pre-authorization and that the patient is responsible for verifying.  However, the website does not mention that the urgent care clinic does not provide pre-authorization as a policy.  I wrote the company today via its website asking for help today, but they did not respond.  I also let them know that I was an Angie's List member and would be contacting you at the end of today if I did not hear from them.  As an aside, this is the first time I have given a company less than a "B" in the 7-plus years that I have been a member.

    They do a very good job. They are open long hours and you can get a hold of them. They are courteous, prompt and look things up. I have really all good things to say about them. If it is bill issues they deal with them promptly and effectively. They generally do a very good job everywhere.

    We see Linda Hub Smith.  My husband just went to her last Tuesday.  She is very attentive, thorough in her treatment, doesn’t hesitate to take as much as time as necessary to address any issue, very personable also.  The staff is professional and friendly.

    I have used this insurance company for almost two years. For the most part I have had no issues with them covering emergency room visits to annual checkups just fine. I did have them reject a bill from lab results, but I'm think that is because the Dr sent them to a lab that is not covered because that was only one isolated issue and all my other labs have been fully covered. When I call them with questions I'm able to speak to someone fairly quickly.

    Our plan provides good coverage overall. Although I have not made much use of certain services and tools available, I have plenty of experience with their handling of general healthcare claims. Coverage and payment on claims has been pretty consistently as 'advertised' in the plan information provided to us, and I have not had much of a problem getting information I need when it has been necessary to contact them. Like most phone support these days, I have had times when it is difficult to navigate through the voice response menu, been put on hold, etc. Overall, though, I have been pleased that we have had their plan as an option.

    I am working with them. They are very courteous and professional. It's kind of a family owned pharmacy. He does a lot of compound and I always enjoy working with him. They all have headsets on so they don't run around. They don't leave you for a minute. They way do it is very professional.

    The ultrasound technician did a good job showing the diagrams on the screens and took his time.  The one thing I didn't like was that the receptionist made me sign something but didn't give me a copy of it.
