You can pay them in various ways. If you are a regular working person, you pay $45.00 a month and you can go for as many classes as are available. If you are a senior citizen, it is $60.00 a year which is really cheap or $20.00 a month for the person who pays by the month. Students get cheaper fees and families get rates where they all come as a family. It gives a lot of opportunities to learn a series of moves. They teach you over a period of time to string together 108 movements in a very slow relaxed way and you stretch. It's like yoga in motion. You do it with a group of people and learn how to open your body with these moves so that your circulation improves and your health improves and you get to build friendships with people that have similar interests. I have been doing it for about 23 years and have great balance. I think the price is very fair. The quality is excellent. They are very responsive to the needs of people. Their classes start on time. It's one of the few places that require their teachers to be certified. They are very professional. We have classes specifically for health recovery for people who have Parkinson's disease and things like that. It's all volunteered. Anybody who works or teaches does not get paid for it. It's like a volunteer situation where they have to be certified. That's the main idea of this altruistic opportunity to help others. What we teach and learn is not a martial art per se although it has those applications. The study is really about health improvement through movement. When I was studying at the university 23 or 24 years ago, we got a call from a professor who had a retreat with his classes up in Canada where it originated near Toronto. They said they were bringing somebody down from there to teach a weekend of Tai Chi at Eckerd College over in St. Petersburg and we just decided to take part in that weekend and from that it all started for us. It's grown from that to here in Sarasota, St. Petersburg to Clearwater, Tampa, Temple Terrace and Brandon to have about 715 members in 4 or 5 different main centers where it is taught plus outside classes at various churches. It has really grown over the last few years.
