Theu were timely and the work was done quickly and I believe the rescreen job was good. The cleanup and overall care of the property was inexcusable. The debris that was dropped in the pool clogged the lines and caused me to have to have the suction lines cleaned. They broke lights we had hung above the deck and left the glass on the deck. There was old screen and spline left all.over the yard. This was the second time we've had our cage done in the years we've lived here and I really wish the first company I used had survived the recession. If you care about your property use anyone else.

Received an exorbitant quote of $2,140; they refused to put this in writing. Received another quote for $700 from another company, and they added two major additional services which were included. I am in my 70s and was horrified by the price and the attitude.

    JPM Pool Cage Painters
    1. JP records all your conversation unbeknownst to me. 2. He went ballistic on me when I told him I was having some other work done on the lanai patio as I was not aware who should go first. He threatened to pull out of the job. 3. Contract states they clean up and clean the pool. There was rubber and screening material and debris left in the bottom of the pool that I pulled out. Rusted screws left on patio, landscaping with paint film. When JP showed up for the walk through I told him everything was fine because I was afraid to tell him anything was amiss because of his passive aggressive temperament. My husband was out of town and JP the owner I guess was unbelievable out of line. The work is not the best as compared to my neighbors cage that was done by another co. I am having an open house to our residences to view both cages for them to make a decision on theirs. Also some screws are missing. I will not have him back on our property to fix anything. I am hiring another company. He is to threatening and the work is sloppy.

The first bid was short on details. I contacted them again later and asked for another visit for more information. I mentioned I was getting another bid from someone else. My next phone call said they were busy through the summer so I should go with the other guy. I wonder if his arrogance will still be there when the economy slows down next time.

Showed up on time to look over job, twice. Never gave an estimate. I called three times to inquire as to why and was given several excuses. I was told I would be called on 3 different occasions, It never happened. Don't waste your time. My 12000 to 15000 dollar job did not garner a call back.

    Grayhawk Inc
We are very pleased with the end result.  There were hiccups along the way, but all issues were resolved to our satisfaction.  We appreciate the personal, attentive service that we received from Troy Lezotte, who was our principal contact at Grayhawk.  The team that installed the framing and windows did a fine job.  We have waited several months from the completion of the project to submit this review because we wanted to assure that the installation meets our expectations, and it does.  We are very pleased and would recommend Troy and his team for similar projects.

Excellent quality and attention to detail. The owner is amiable and responds to calls and has been around a long time (did my neighbor's siding over ten years ago). On site crew was friendly and professional and immediately took care of any minor detail that I found. Bid was right in line with another preferred Hardieboard contractor. Overall, this is one of the best contractors I have worked with.

    Walton Home Repair

We hired Walton Home Repair for a kitchen and living room remodel.  Bill Walton stated that he was a licensed contractor.  The verbal quote for the job was $35,000 to $40,000.  I received nothing in writing, neither an estimate nor a contract.  After the job stated on April 23, 2015, there were some unexpected difficulties with removing a wall and tile floor causing a time delay; however, everyone was in agreement.  Knowing that these issues would place an increase in the budget, I helped by removing debris myself and purchased ceiling fans, lighting, paint and other items.

After Walton Home Repair was paid $32,000, I asked Bill for an itemized receipt.  I continued to pay him without a receipt otherwise he was going to stop working.  I had to keep asking and weeks later I received a list of work completed and a total bill of $41,000.  I have never yet received an itemized bill, so I don?t know what the cost of the materials truly were.  He verbally stated how much the big ticket items were, but I have no way of knowing how accurate those numbers were.

I paid Walton Home Repair a total of $37,500 before I fired them on July 15, 2015.  Bill demanded that I pay the balance of the job before he would complete the job.  I was out of money because of the other expenditures that I previously mentioned.  I asked him about a payment plan for the balance of $3,500, which would be paid off in only 2 months.  Since he refused to complete the job, I have to live in a mess every day.  There are wires hanging out of the ceiling, a live electrical outlet that is hanging in mid air, unfinished painting, unfinished trim work, the oven hood is not installed, and no back splash.

During the last 4 weeks on the job, Bill became unreliable.  He may or may not have shown up for work as I had entrusted him with a key to my home.  He went from working full days to partial days or not at all.  It became a hassle as I had to repetitively call him in order for him to show up.   For example, he told me that he would work on a Saturday and Sunday in order to catch up, but he never came.  After several phone and text attempts, he said he would be there the following Monday.  On the last day, he was supposed to finish a door jamb but once again, never made good on his promise.  Now I?ve had to hire a reputable contractor to finish the job.  Bill Walton can?t be trusted and I would never recommend him to anyone.  He also stated he was a licensed contractor but I can find no record of his license number in the county and State of Florida which turns this into a legal matter now as the prior work was done illegally.

The installation went very well.  They were for the most part on time, courteous and neat.  Some of the workers were a little more concerned about the dust factor than others.  We could have pushed it and they would have complied but with our particular windows the dust factor was really not a major issue.  One of the new installers put carpet graded plastic down on our ceramic tile and we are still dealing with glue residue from that.  The window and doors look great. It took a little longer to get the city to finish off the permit but all worked out fine.  They wanted their full payment when the windows were in as opposed to when the permit was signed off and all the minor issues taken care of.  I withheld about 5% and would suggest that to be a good plan, although there was no indication that it would have made a difference in their speed of completion.

Owner/operator Richard Dunn came to my home to make a bid on my project. He arrived on time, was personable, and knowledgeable. We agreed on a specific brand and model door along with the price. He gave us a signed contract and we made an initial payment of about 33%.

Another man came out and measured within a few days.

Our new door was delivered a few weeks later. The installers took the greater part of a day to remove the old door and frame and install the new ones. They did a neat and professional job. We then paid our second installment.

About a week later, their painter spent about five hours caulking and painting the door and frame inside and out with the colors we had selected. We then paid the final installment.

Mr. Build?s staff communicated well throughout the project. Everyone arrived on time and acted professionally. Although their price might have been a little higher than others, we felt that the quality of their work and their dependability was worth the extra expense.
