AStilwell SolarI rarely write reviews, and to be frank, a company needs to be very bad or extraordinary. In the case of Stillwell Solar, the word extraordinary is really not adequate. Bill Long, the owner, spent a few hours with me when we first met to explain the solar pool heater that he installs. In that this was going to be my THIRD install of a solar pool heater, the first two of which I found never to work, I was skeptical that any pool heater could actually work. Bill assured me that not only would it work, but it would be a product that was for the most part, free of problems and it would last for a very long time. When the install was complete, unfortunately for Stillwell Solar, my solar panels were on the east side of the home while the control panels were on the west side, meaning that they would have to run the full length of my roof to hook up the PVC that circulates to heat the pool. The could have just run a line on the roof that is unappealing, as do most solar pool heating companies do, but they took the time to follow the roof line, which required at least three or four hours at the very least to make certain that the black PVC was not noticeable. I could not believe that not only does the product work extremely well, but the equipment and PVC does not detract in any way from the home. If I could give them an 11 out of 10, I would. Don't waste your time looking for anyone else. These guys and gals have figured out how to make the magic work, and believe me, it does! If you need a solar pool heater, give them a call. FEnergy MonsterHORRIBLE! Total nightmare! I thought choosing Energy Monster of FL. was a smart choice to purchase and have install a Sonnen Battery Back Up System with 6 panel array to add to our existing 25 panel system. Worse choice I ever made! Here are just some of the things they did wrong: *Never checked our house wiring before the actual install - or even afterwards! 10.5 months later = they tell me our house has a "neutral ground loop" & that i should hire an electrician - everyone knows the installer is responsible for this- not the home owner * The wiring in our house- should have been checked for BEFORE the install *Wired the unit incorrectly- we would have failed inspection + very dangerous! *Never tied the old system to the new system that they installed (found this out 4mos after the install) *They expected the unit to operate with just 6 panels- which would never have worked properly *Had me re-sign NOC AFTER instal was completed because "they lost the original one" *Hired a new "GM" who promised they would take the system down and out of out house- but then Duane W. this supposed new GM refused to do what he promised- cursed me out and hung up the phone on me *Mr. J Leet the owner has NEVER called or emailed me to apologize or to try to resolve the issue(s) *They never told me at first that all 25 of our original invertors were "dead" the only good thing they did during this entire debacle was to change them for me for free labor *With all the down time the Sonnen has needed battery replacement 2x (luckily under warranty) *The orig installer for Energy Monster (who did not know what he was doing- or maybe he did the shoddy work on purpose....) quit, and claimed Mr Leet the owner owed him $$$$ The next 2 service techs he sent to our home were NOT certified by Sonnen! No wonder they could not fix it at all- even with Sonnen's help over the phone! Both of these "techies" eventually quit while im still left without a working system! (turns off after 5mins after being turned back on) The should have installed with a "soft start" of the AC unit- never eve mentioned this optiom WORST CONTRACTOR I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH! Stay away from Energy Monster- do your research better than i did!- Maria Rosana M F.

Next came the consultation with Frank at our home. He is very down-to-earth and provided us with several options after assessing our roof. We appreciated his open and honest approach. When it came to installation, Frank and his crew immediately set to work. I thought we were lucky to have the owner on site to make sure that everything was done correctly; however, it became clear very quickly that Frank?s crew has just as much passion for perfection as he does. They worked long hours to get the job done, and when they were done, they made sure everything was picked up around the yard and that we were happy with the results. Even if you are picky, you can take a break while Frank and his team are on the job. They may be even more picky about the details than you are. A3D Solar did a great job removing and then reinstalling 34 solar panels. My original installer quoted an outrageous amount so I went looking for a new Solar company. 3D Solar was recommended by a reputable solar consultant. I spoke with David Ringo at length and we had a great conversation about many topics as well as solar. The crews were on time, professional and conscientious and super nice. David's quote was less than half the price even when I told him what my original installer was about to charge and very reasonable considering the amount of work involved. The reinstallation was very good, even better than the original install by another company. They used updated mounting hardware and did a tidy job with cable management. 3D Solar sent out crews right away to sort out a small technical issue with the inverter that became apparent after installation. They were able to diagnose and correct the issue. I am particularly impressed with the fast and effective follow up service. I am pleased to recommend 3D Solar for installation or maintenance of solar systems.

FI inquired with this company to get solar for my home. They called and promptly set up a phone call with Noah R. I accepted the calendar invite and five minutes later I get a notice that the appointment was cancelled with no explanation. I replied to the cancellation notice asking if they needed to reschedule. The response I got was “Isn’t your roof in the direct shadow of the tall building to the south?” I reply that I don’t know because I have not moved in yet. No response. I keep pushing and I get another email saying, “Too shady.” That’s how professional they are. They didn’t even have the decency to explain unless I pushed. If you don’t equal $$$, they don’t care to even talk to you. That says a lot about a company. I would avoid them.

ASpectacularly! A full explanation was given prior to selection of this company along with a review when agreement signed. Company took care of all paperwork; permitting, loan arrangement, inspections. The install team arrived promptly and leader answered questions as they worked.Clean up was complete and all scraps removed. Duke energy was notified of job completion as was the municipal permitting department. Cost for the project was determined by my use(using the graph that is on each month's electric bill). I have 18 panels and my cost was total $18,000. I will receive a income tax return credit for about $6,000. Within 2 months of completion, regional marketing director came to see how conversion was working for me. Customer service was great from beginning to end. Enclosed are pictures of the roof panels, the control station and August electric bill with total due$38.57..Note the difference between 2017 and 2018. Great company and way to use alternative energy that's readily available.

FStay far away from this company. I had three electricians come out to verify why i was not getting power to my pool pump. Bolt made claim that my electrical wire were of the wrong size which could cause a potential fire and most likely melted the line in the home. they stated it would cost just under 3 thousand to repair. Two other companies came out and verified that the wires were of correct size and major repairs were not needed. the problem actually ended up being the pool pump as their was a supply of electricity running to it. When i called bolt to let them know of the unethical behavior they denied that anyone in their company would do such a thing and got mad at me for calling them out. Clearly they encourage this type of behavior among their staff and will stand by it. stay clear
