  • They were excellent in every way. On time, professional, helpful, and did their job with great precision. They did such a great job, and spent so much time, that when they left, I felt they didn't charge me enough. I can't recommend them more strongly!!

  • I try not to have interaction with them. I've removed cable boxes from the house and have gone to streaming services in every room except our family room. I would tell a friend to try to avoid them because service is mediocre, responsiveness is mediocre and the price is high. The only reason I have them is because there is not a good internet option for DirecTV. When I pull internet away from cable and price it out separately, if I go with DirecTV, I end up paying a lot more.

  • They were very professional, however, the Internet does not live up to the speed promised and the box pixelated the picture. They r suppose to switch boxes still waiting. They were nice people however, I just found out that the deal made was only for a year then I'm not sure of price. So, while I can't quite complain I'm quite apprehensive.

  • Comcast has verified they charged me wrongly on 2 occasions. They promised me a refund for all incorrect charges. After a year and a half and many phone calls I still have not been reimbursed. If Comcast wants to contact me and resolve this issue, I would be more than happy to edit my review and make it more positive.

  • The wait time can sometimes be long. Also my calls dropped in process. But the ultimate goal was resolved and now my land phone works and my cell phone calls in the house are not dropping off.  She was patient with my lack of confidence in trying to fix the problem myself. She was able to identify the problem, for me a big deal, and then it was done after a few minutes. She was really good at her job, thorough, patient, competent, and cared about resolving my problem. Very pleased and would have given an A if the wait time was shorter.

  • Terrible. They gave me an appointment, then cancelled it without notifying me that the order couldn't be completed. Talked to 3 different people and everyone gave me a different story about why I couldn't have what I had asked for.  I was then told I would have to pay for a service call unless I wanted to do self-installation after the previous person had told me self-installation wasn't available for the equipment I was getting.  Second person insisted it was available, then gave me different information about how the system would operate. I got so frustrated I just gave up.
Comcast sends a sheet out each year with a list of packages/prices but when I called I was told that the package I wanted was not available in this area and they tried to talk me into a more expensive package.
To add insult to injury, while their high speed internet is fast when it works, it doesn't provide a consistent connection and I frequently get messages telling me I am not connected to the internet.  Can't wait to change to a different provider!

  • Hotwire made a deal with our homeowners association to provide cable, internet and phone service. Individually we did not have a choice.

They installed the service in our house a few weeks ago. While the internet and phone service have been fine (no problems and they both work well - the internet is actually faster than promised), the TV service is a nightmare. We experience glitches while watching shows (skips and pixellated sections), and at times it just stops working.

They are responsive and mostly punctual. When we complain they send someone to the house and they usually show up when they say they will. But they have repeatedly failed to fix the problem. They have been to our house at least 6 times. On other occasions we called the customer service number and were told to reboot the set top box, a process that takes 10-20 minutes and works about half the time.

The problem appears to be that they have to switch the digital signal to run on the coaxial cable that was installed in our house when it was built (1997), and then it has to switch back to digital for the set top box. Rather than run new cable (Cat5 Ethernet), they keep tweaking the system to see if they can make it work.

When Hotwire sold this service to our HOA, they did not tell us it would not work well on the existing cable in our homes. Had they told us, as you can imagine, our HOA might have decided not to make the deal. Or perhaps we could have insisted on them rewiring our houses as a part of the install.

Supposedly they will come to the house at the end of this week to finally install the correct cables. The manager acted like he was doing us a favor by agreeing to do this.

As some history, we initially had Comcast and their TV service was terrible. We switched to DirecTV which worked pretty well. If I had an option I would choose DirecTV over Hotwire or Comcast. If they don't get the TV service working we will go back to DirecTV (we haven't cancelled the account yet) and we will demand compensation for the amount that comes from our HOA dues. I'm not a class action lawyer, but I am willing to learn. :-)

By the way, I listed $7000 as the price we paid because this service will cost us approximately $100/month for the next 7 years.

  • I don't have any problems, now, I was apprehensive when they switched over to digital, but, I'm extremely happy now.  Unfortunately, it's hit or miss with their customer service, but, they're the only game in town, and my association has them.  It''s a part of my association dues.  I have old TV's, but when they switched to digital, I had problems, but, it's working now.  Only if I complain a lot, I get some satisfaction.  They give you a 2 hour window, and they're here within 2 hours.  It takes 4 hours to get them out.

  • They are the most difficult company I have ever had to deal with. They are unresponsive; billing is added without prior understanding that there’s going to be more money. The techs are often subcontractors. Therefore, I was not always getting a Comcast person. I have found an alternative and I am very happy. They were more expensive than the company I am using now. I would absolutely not use their services again in this area.
