    After calling more than a few appliance repair companies we found on Angie���s List, none were able to service our Bosch clothes dryer. One highly recommended New York Appliance Repair, so we contacted the company and scheduled a service call. Nick showed up at the time he said he would, diagnosed the problem we had accurately, and knew how badly we needed an operational dryer going into the weekend. He expedited the repair by calling us this morning and showed up early and got the job done. We can���t thank him enough!!! We highly recommend his services if you are in need of an appliance repair.

    The price for the service call was $45. Waste of money! The tech came out, took his temperature gun and aimed it at the freezer/refrigerator, thumped his hand on the thermostat (which started to buzz) and said that is what I need - a thermostat. No diagnostic was run on the refrigerator, unless you call hand thumping a diagnostic. Told me it would be several days to get the part. Someone would call tomorrow. Could not answer any questions about warranty on labor and parts. You could tell he was in a hurry. Stay away from this company.

    David came and replaced the part (he purchased) called a Rubber Gasket on the front load door of a LG Washing Machine. He purchased the LG part and I paid him what he paid for the part (no mark up). He arrived at my home and got right to work. He knew exactly what to do and completed the job in about 20 minutes. The longest part of the jobe was driving to my location. This was my first time using Angie's List. I checked 3 other installers from referrals and Craigslist and when I entered my information David responded quick. He had a good attitude and quoted me the fairest price so I made the appointment. He showed up on time and here I am telling you I am very satisfied. I will call David of Beach Breeze Appliance Repair the next time I need service and suggest you use him too. The cost included the part $75.10 (very fair).

    Their repair personnel (with one exception) were totally incompetent. The plumber did not know how to change a washer in a faucet. The person sent to tighten the handle on the dishwasher managed to rip out the wiring in the door, and then CAC wanted us to pay for the repairs. The person sent to change a light bulb in the oven managed to break the entire socket, and again CAC wanted us to pay for the replacement part. Their office personnel are rude and dismissive. This company has so many negative online reports against them it is a wonder how they remain in business. I am starting the process to attempt to get them banned from our community. I spent several hundred dollars calling in other, real professional, repair people to fix or replace an A/C compressor (damaged by a CAC technician); to replace a garbage disposal (when CAC couldn't schedule the visit for at least a week); to replace a faucet washer, when the CAC plumber told me he could not guarantee that he would not break the faucet. There is not enough room on this page to list all of their failure. I wish you had a rating of less than "F".

    About two weeks later, on January 24, the tech arrived, and in the end I paid for a new part that dealt with both the ice and water dispensers even though the ice maker was working fine,,,,plus labor, which took a rather long time. When the tech left the water dispenser was working again, and I was happy. Several weeks ago the water dispenser stopped working again, so I called Sears Service to complain and asked that the water dispenser be fixed properly, I was told that another tech could be sent, but I would have to pay the same amount I paid the first time because it was now past the three month "service" guarantee. I was never told there was such a ridiculous warranty for such a repair job or I would have gone elsewhere for service. And I would certainly NOT have Sears Service come to my house ever again. Indeed, I am telling friends and neighbors NOT to use their services, and certainly not buy their service contract! Whatever happened to customer service -- and care. No wonder Sears is going out of business.

    My last experience with ECM was amazing as I needed both of the above repaired and they were able to send 1 mechanic to do both. They called about 15 minutes before they were on their way as I asked them to do. The service man (Luis) was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and made the whole process painless.     Called ECM for a service call on our washing machine. Actually had a service man the "next" day! Professional repair man, fixed the issue and was on his way within 45 minutes - made my wife a happy camper!

    I called and worked with several "Good" Appliance Technicians (Including GE's) but Luke was the only one who knew how to repair our 42" GE Profile Freezer. Also, his office staff was excellent. It was a very good experience from beginning to end. "Smart Choice Appliance, LLC" is a very "Smart Choice".

    Had an appointment to fix broken refrigerator. Eric called and left a message. I have spotty service at home so missed the call. I called back within about 10 minutes (have call log to prove it), no answer, left message. I sent text message. No response. I called again 30 minutes later, no answer, left message. About 1.5 hours later, got call back from Eric. He told me that I didn't return call within 5 minutes and therefore he moved on to next job. This was stated in a very nonchalant, matter of fact manner, no expression of regret for any miscommunication, etc. We had been without a refrigerator since the prior day, and were desperate to have it fixed that day. Eric simply repeated that we didn't call back in time, and "we can't come out today, what do you want to do?" Again, very matter of fact and no empathy. Needless to say, I was furious. It was almost 5pm and we were not able to get someone else to come out same day, so had to schedule someone for next day. 1 Step has high reviews and may be good at repairing appliances, I wouldn't know, but they need some work on their customer service skills and policies. If it had been a broken dishwasher or washer/dryer, that's one thing, but a broken refrigerator is quite a bit more urgent and the customer deserves a little more benefit of the doubt...as in call back a couple more times, send a text, and allow at least 10-15 minutes to get call back. At a bare minimum just say something like "sorry we weren't able to connect and if there was any way we could come today, we would". Oh, almost forgot, Eric mentioned he couldn't come because he already had plans that evening. Well, our plans that evening consisted of throwing out a huge amount of food from the refrigerator.

    Excellent. Even though company had no power at their office, they were still taking repair appointments, and they had a serviceman out to repair our refrigerator within 2 hours of calling! Prompt diagnosis by a very professional serviceman, explanation of the problem, and a clear/concise quote for the work. The company was proactive in stocking parts that would most likely fail during the storm, and had the part on the truck!
