Pediatric Care reviews in Belleair Bluffs

The clinic is terrific. It is kind of like a one stop shop. My ophthalmologist, primary care doctor and my son's pediatrician are all there. They just moved into a new facility about a year ago and it is very nice. They have really good concierge service in that they have people that make sure that the check-in runs smoothly. They will open additional check-ins if needed so the check-in is usually quick. It is done electronically so by the time I get to the doctor they already know that we are there. It is very efficient. My primary care physician is very good.

My doctor's bedside manner is excellent. She takes as much time as she needs to discuss things. She makes you feel really comfortable right away. She's very thorough. They call you back right away if you call with a problem. My doctor will discuss how things are going with you in your life. She gets personal with her patients.

We've been going to Dr. Stiglitz since my son was born 4 1/2 yrs ago. Since my son was never sick, office visits were for routine visits and vaccinations. Nine months ago, after my son started preschool, he developed his first sickness, which was an ear infection. We have since had a total of 3 ear infections and 1 strep throat. Dr. Stiglitz seems to be knowledgeable and is conservative when it comes to treatments, such as surgery. I like that, but his bedside manner leaves a little to be desired. When we were in his office for one of his ear infections, my son was in pain and whiny and didn't want to cooperate, like getting up on the examination table. The Dr. said to him, "Oh, are we going to whine today? You're acting about 2 yrs old, not 4." I just don't like unsympathic comments like that and that's not the first time that comments like that have been said. I didn't like the whining either, but the child was sick and not feeling well. I get cranky when I'm not feeling well either. LOL I have to say that I am always led to feel like my questions are nonsense or a bother. I've raised concerns about things and he gives me something that might be the issue and kinda disregards them. I've continued taking my son to see him (even though I see a different dr. for my 17 mo old daughter) because I haven't really had to deal with sickness' or needing to get info on a condition. I'm still undecided if I will continue to see him because I want to feel comfortable when I go in and ask questions. I will say that everytime I've called to ask questions of the nurses, they have been really nice and helpful; especially this last time when my son was running a 104 temp for 4 days and I was panicing.

We have been going to him for five months. He is very patient. He is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in pediatrics. I am a first time mom. I have come in with a lot of weird requests. He is patient and answers all of my questions. He doesn't make me feel stupid. His staff is very professional and very friendly.

Dr. Stiglitz has been our son's pediatrition since he was born. I've always had an issue with his bedside manner because I'm more of a conversationalist about details of issues, where he is all business with little chit chat. This recent visit has really made me rethink having him as my son's doctor. After asking me some questions, he asked my son to hop up on the table. Well, my son didn't want to and started to whine a little. (He hasn't felt good w/a fever for 5 days & he's at the dr's office) Dr. Stiglitz says, "Ahh, he's gonna whine." I couldn't believe that he said that out loud. All in all he had an ear infection. Then, he made a comment that we would be back in next month for my son's 4 yr checkup and says that there's a hearing test then. I said that I was glad that he said that because I was gonna ask because my son is always saying, "Huh? or What?" He asked about his speech, which I said was great. Then he says, "Well, he wouldn't have good speech if he can't hear. You know there's a difference between hearing and listening." He is just very sarcastic about things. I don't really feel comfortable in asking about anything because of the response that I'm gonna get. We've continued to go there because we've only really had shots. This was really the first time that my son has even had an infection, so we haven't really had to discuss problems or question a diagnosis. Maybe we just have different personalities, but I just don't care for the sarcastic tone, especially when it's dealing with my kids. I want to feel like I can ask anything and not be criticized or made to feel stupid about asking the question.
