  • He is very nice He called with total order cost with tax and service. Made an appointment for two days later. Then he called he had a cancel one day prior and he came right over. It was a pleasure! He was very careful of surroundings.

  • My experience with Appliance Tech Services was wonderful! Lazaro was able to make it to my home the same day I called, and he fixed my dishwasher quickly and efficiently. He even took the time to clean around the dishwasher after he re-installed it for us. Throughout the process, Lazaro was professional and courteous, and charged what I believe to be a very fair price for the repair. I will definitely call him again for my future appliance repair needs. I highly recommend this company!

  • He came to check a problem I had with the washing machine, I told him specifically what was wrong with the machine, he unscrewed a cpl of screws, and then screwed them back on,he removed the door seal and then put it back on(not even how it was before) I told him that the water flow tube was clogged and if he could just open the flow of the tube he replied that he needs to take the machine apart and since the dryer is sitting on top of the washer he needs another tech to help him with the repairs, he didn't even feel like working on the machine. At the end I gave him the coupon that I downloaded from Angie;s list and he didn't honor it., he said that the coupon is only for repairs and not service calls(there is no mention of what he said on the coupon nor on this site)
After he left I cleared the Tube in 2 minutes and the problem was solved, now the new problem is that the door is leaking from the seal that he took off and put back on.
I will never call them again, LESSON LEARNED

  • I have used Mr. Appliance in the past- before I was on Angies List so I had no hesitation to call them again when my renters informed me there was a problem with the dishwasher.  I called them on November 6th/2014 to explain what I was told by my renters.  They said they would send a technician out the next day, contacted my renters to accommodate their schedule and came when they said they would.  Within minutes, the problem was determined that the control board on the dishwasher went bad so they recommended it would be cheaper to replace than fix.  I agreed and told them that I wanted to replace it with something very similar to what had just broken.  A few days later I get an email from the gal I had been talking to (Mercedes) with three model/brands available with prices.  I talked it over with my husband and we made our decision.  I called Mercedes the next day to tell her which one we chose.  I was told that the $79 that I spent to have them diagnose the problem with the old one would be credited towards the new purchase.  OK, great!  Mercedes told me she would call my renters to let them know when they could come by the house to replace it and then call me for the payment (because I live out of state)
But that is when the trouble started.
Neither my renters nor I ever got that call.
A week after all was agreed on, I called (11/17) and was told by Mercedes that she would get back to me later that day.  She didn't.
A week after that (11/24) I called again and Mercedes said she would have to talk to the warehouse and get back to me.  She didn't.
On 12/2 I call again and talked to Danielle, explained I was STILL waiting for my dishwasher to be delivered and installed. She told me that she would get in touch with Mercedes and let her know.  I said they had until Friday Dec 5th to get this straitened out or I was going to bring my business elsewhere because it was almost a month now that I have been dealing with this.  No one called.
12/5/14 I called about: 4:30 Fla time  and talked to a guy  (did not write his name down) and was told they had closed the Miami office and that they were handling  all the business now (somewhere near Pembroke Pines area).  He had no idea what was going on, didn't see any record.  Apologized and told me it was too late to do anything that day but he would have Mario call me on Monday December 8th to take care of the issue.  Mario never called.
12/9/14 I went into Sears and bought a dishwasher here to have it delivered in my Fla house two days later.  Even though there was a little confusion on who they were supposed to call.  The dishwasher was installed and the old one hauled away.  It cost me twice as much and I of course lost that $79 credit I was going to use with Mr. Appliance but it is done and I am done with Mr. Appliance!!!  I would NOT recommend using them!!!!  I was going to give them a lower rating than I did but up until this issue all was good so I tried to be fair but honest!

  • Our dryer broke down on a Thursday.  My first call was to Lazaro, due to the great reviews he had gotten here.  He was very friendly on the phone; he let me know that he was already booked through Tuesday, so he understood if I wanted to try a different provider first.  I didn't have luck with my other options, so I called up Lazaro again and set up a Tuesday morning appointment.
Lazaro showed up on time and immediately set to work.  After taking apart the dryer, he found the problem was with the timer.  He noted that these timers are expensive, and so rather than have me pay the $200 it would cost for parts and labor to replace the timer, he had instead done a simpler fix - resoldered a connection, I think - that he believed would hold up.  He told me that if it failed in the next month, he'd come back out, put in a new timer, and apply the $90 that the current repair had cost as a credit toward the timer replacement.  That seemed extremely fair to me.
As it turned out, the fix worked fine when using the numbered timer settings, but not when using qualitative ones (like Energy Dry).  We were concerned this might mean the repair would not hold up, or even that there might be a dangerous electrical problem, so we asked Lazaro to come out and put the new timer in instead.  He did so promptly, though the final cost was about $50 more than expected.
Days later we found that the dryer still didn't work right on those qualitative settings; in fact, to our dismay we found that the the dryer would never stop its cycle if we used those settings!  Thank goodness the dryer had an automatic cutout that would temporarily pause the dry cycle if the temperature rose to high, or we could have had a fire.  When we discovered this, I called Lazaro immediately, and he came out the next day.  He tested the timer, and concluded that there was no problem as long as we stayed away from the qualitative settings.  We agreed that we didn't need those.

  • After four times of unresolved, I called the supervisor to let them know that I didn’t renew my contract. It was to be up in April. No one called me back. In June, I called back to talk to the head supervisor, she told me to call her directly in the future. Then, I wanted to test it out before I paid for all of these appliances for the year. I called the person in charge of “New Contracts” and told her that I had been a member for 10 years and had been using them, and that I had been very disappointed (for the reasons above). I told her that I was going to renew again because the supervisor said I could call her. She told me that my contract could be used for the same pricing if they backdated my contract to April. I told her that I did not use the service in those few months. She said that it didn’t matter, that if they didn’t back date everything, they would have to charge extra for services rendered. I told her I didn’t have anything done in those months. She said it didn’t matter.

Then, when I called back to talk to the supervisor to report this happening, I was not able to get to her. I left a message on her machine, but she never called back.

  • These people are absolutely terrible and I recommend you save yourself the aggravation I had and not use them, ever, even it they offer to do the work for free!  I booked an appointment with them, 10 days in advance.  They required a 9 hour window as in "our tech will be there sometime between 8am and 5pm, but we cant tell you more than that, but please have someone at home."  I agreed and we set an appointment for 11/30/11.  On 11/29/11 they called with an auto service to confirm the appointment.  I called back and confimed and asked if they could give me a better time estimate.  They could not, but confirmed the appointment.  On 11/30/11 at 8am their automated call service called to confirm again.  I had 2 people at my home, waiting for them.  At 915am they called my cell phone.  I was in a meeting and could not answer, but called back 12 minutes later.  By then they said "the appointment was cancelled, no one was at your home".  I said there were 2 people there waiting for them, and how could they say that?  They said "we called andno one answered".  I said "well, 25 years ago that might have been true, when there were no cell phones, but, you called my cell and not my home and someone is there."  They kept me on hold and said that they would ahve the tech there before 5pm.  At 130pm I got an automated call telling me they had cancelled my appointment, again, and told me to call them back.  I did call them back and explained everything. They told me they would put me on hold and speak to the tech.  I was on hold 20 minutes and no one ever picked up again.  I finally hung up.  I would never use this company again.  They wasted about an hour and a half of my time just confirming appointments they never showed up for.

  • I live on the third floor of a condo. Occassionally the air duct unit gets clogged. Whitson made me the last call of the day. This way, I could go to my office and not take too much time. They called when they were on the way. Fixed the problem. The problem resumed a day or too later. They returned at no additional charge.
    - M C.
  • Lazaro called in the morning to confirm the appointment time, checked in with me periodically so that we could both arrive at my home on time. He entered my home and quickly diagnosed the problem. He had the part available. He was courteous, fast and clean.
    - M C.
  • The technician was on time and fixed the problem quickly. I'm not sure what he had to do to the dryer, but he didn't replace any parts and it has worked fine ever since. Overall, I was treated very nicely by both the customer representatives and the technician. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs fast and professional service.
