    The price was a bit high compared to past plumbers for the same job. But they assured me that they would do a much better job for the money so that I shouldn't need to call for another drain cleaning for a few years (as opposed to every 6-8 months like in the past). We shall see if the price was worth it. Also, despite contacting them via Angie's List and being able to communicate via email, they still insist upon receiving a PRINTED COPY of the Angie's List coupon. I have no idea why either an emailed copy isn't sufficient. Or why, since I contacted them VIA Angie's List, they couldn't simply deduct the coupon's value from their quote.

    The shower faucet repair involved replacing a cartridge and was easily accomplished. The bath faucet repair wasn't done because they said due to the age of the faucet, they would not be able to find parts and recommended a full replacement. Since we intend to remodel the bath at some point anyway, we decided to hold off on the faucet for now.

    When I called on a Sunday to describe my problem I asked directly "How much will it cost to clear the drain?" I was told $139 today or $49 tomorrow. I thought $49 was a phenomenal deal so I said sure, come on out on Tuesday. I guess I should have asked what their Tuesday rate was because when the tech showed up on Tuesday he said it would be $175! Apparently the $49 was just to come to my house. I guess we should have just told him to leave because either I was lied to over the phone or we were gauged. Had I known what they really charged, I would have shopped around. This is a mistake I won't make again. This is a shame because in all other aspects Service One seemed like a good company. Too bad their deceptive pricing had to ruin a good thing.

    Bill said that since it was impossible to estimate the total cost until the demolition was complete but agreed to set a cap at $20,000. The work required demolishing the framing, jacking up the side of the roof in several places, tearing off all the siding and completing repairs. Bill had a crew of 2-3 people working daily for about 3 weeks. The house is better and more valuable. The communicated daily to keep us informed about the process, progression and costs. He came in under budget. There was no set completion time at the outset since the extent of damage was undetermined, but I was satisfied with the entire process. Bill is a great person to work with, honest and conscientious.

    I've used Michael's plumbing multiple times in the past but this will be the last time I call them. Hired them to replace a kitchen faucet. Something not that hard to do. I did not ask the price over the phone because I expect about how much something like that should cost and since I've used them in the past I assumed it would be a fair price. First they were late. Then after coming, they wanted to charge me mid $300s to simply replace the faucet with one I had already purchased. The other reviews are correct in that they overcharge you. I declined and had to pay $35 since they came here for less than 10 minutes to give me a ridiculous price. Instead I called another reputable plumber on Angie's list who did the same job for $140. Never again with Michael's plumbing.

    I messaged Spegal via Angies list and they promptly responded requesting I call them. I did and they were very knowledgeable and friendly over the phone. This actually is why I went with Spegal. After talking to the guy on the phone I felt they really knew what they were doing and weren't afraid to tell me to ask another company on specific issues they didn't (regarding tying into a new irrigation system from the main line). I liked this. They were honest and told me exactly what they could do and were detailed, and when it was something they couldn't do, they didn't pretend. Price seemed fair and was a flat rate and comparable with other quotes. The guy who came and fixed the bibs was on time and fixed them rather quickly. Had he worked for one of the hourly companies I would have saved a little bit of money because he was done in no time, explained everything and showed me his work. Great job.

    I've never liked the idea of a scheduling block, used by many service providers, because it leaves you sitting around for four hours or more waiting for service personnel to show up. But Michael called me just at the start of my scheduled block and gave me a more specific time he would be showing up later, stating, "In case you need to run an errand or something," which is exactly what I did. I appreciated that. When he showed up, he got right to work, explained everything, and had most of the parts necessary on hand in his truck. When he realized he would need to order a part, he gave me an idea what it would cost and immediately scheduled a time in the same week in which he could return to install it. There was also a lot of little things he "threw in" or didn't even charge me for. All in all, a great experience and I would definitely use them again.

    Made an appointment to install a tub.. On the day of the appointment I woke up with the flu..called to cancel had to leave a message. A few hours later the guy called said he was on his way...within the scheduled time. I informed him I had called earlier and cancelled because I was sick. We concluded I would call and reschedule which I did.
    I have taken the day off for this appointment..no call no show an hour after appointment time of 10-2. I called and left a message..no return call.
    I can't understand how it went so smoothly the first time and horrible the second time. Don't know if miscommunication or an error on their part with appointment time and date.
