Marie Yost: Coast Dental did a root canal on my husband and put a crown on, but he's had more trouble since they did that then before they did it. So, I don't think we'll go back there. I guess, for what dentists cost today, their price was reasonable, but we were on Medicare and we kind of thought they charged both the full price, plus took from Medicare. I can't prove that, but that's what my husband's thought was when we got the bill, because he'd go online for what it should cost.

Mr. Yost: I went to them after they put a crown on. We went back to them and they looked at it. Of course, I had the crown with me. They looked at it and said they had to do a root canal and kill a nerve. I figured if they had a crown on before, they'd normally do a root canal anyway. It's like, "Am I getting a double root canal here?" I know what  my insurance is supposed to pay. I also went online, to find out what the customary charges are for doing all the work and it come to about $1,500.00, roughly, what they were supposed to charge me, straight up  They charged me $1,500.00 plus they said they charged $400.00 or $500.00 to the insurance company. But the insurance company doesn't even cover that. Maybe the x-rays, maybe. It was a rush job. Everybody just seemed like they were running from one room to another room and gave you a few moment of their time and off again, to somebody else. Then they had the assistant finally fit the crown. The root canal was one day and then, a couple of weeks later, they kept the crown in and they kept the crown in. They started to install it and grind on it. Finally, when they tried to glue it, they glued it in and it was a little high. It didn't really fit too well, at the end of the day. So I left and it never did feel right. Then I got some abscesses, which I never had before. At that point, we went out and bought picks in order to keep the gums clean, which was a good thing. I mean, every month and a half or something, I get these abscesses and it bleeds out. It was probably the worst dental experience I've had since I was in the military. They're not even the cream of the crap, if you know anything about quality circles. That's the term they use for a company who hyped up how good they are and they really are crap. We call them cream of the crap. When you get in there, their punctuality is great, but once you are in there, it goes downhill. They weren't effective. I told them it wasn't fitting right and they still said, "You're get used to it." They left a real bad taste in my mouth.
