    Earl W Johnston Roofing LLC
This company is amazing! From the first meeting with Mr Barrett to the end the service was outstanding. I was so happy to find such an amazing bussiness to work with. In Miami is very difficult to find a reliable, honest, knowledgeable and professional company but Earl Johnston is all that and more. I recommend them to everyone! They were not the cheapest but they weren't the most expensive either. They explained me in detail what could I expect and the job was done in almost no time. Before hire them I saw roofs around my neighborhood waiting for tiles for months but not in my case, they were so organized that my new roof was complete in no time. The brought a large crew for demolition which left my house looking like nothing happened. Every questions along the way were answer. I'm so happy that I choose to go with Earl Johnston!

4th Generation Roofing & Sheet Metal LLC
BEWARE!!! After being paid a $3,000 deposit the owner skipped town, never to be heard from again leaving us with a disastrous leak. 4th generation was hired to fix a leak in our roof. After a storm we discovered the leak was not fixed in the midst of repairs (tiles off, ladders & debris on the property). After calling for several days, Robert apologized for being out of town and promised to get his crew out to remedy the leak. He was never heard from again. We had to hire another company after shelling out $3k.

I had a bad experience with this company actually. Not responsive. They tried to get a quote. They set up a time to show up and never showed up. I waited for quite some time. Tried to chase them and then like after a few times I tried to get a hold of them they said "we're not going to service your area." Then I got really frustrated and said "why'd you let me wait for so long and come to the property a few times while you're not showing up." I needed a quote. I needed to replace a roof. They didn't give me a quote.

    Rain Gutters Solution Inc
The installation went well with quality product. The only issue was the salesperson showed and sold me a leaf guard which was completely different product than what was installed. I Was not charged for the wron product and the company left it on the gutters.

    NEAL STRICKLAND ROOFING INC
Very pleased,... just wish I had more work for this company. I live in Miami Florida but the house they worked on is 5 hours north in Palatka. I own many homes in the Miami area and wish I could export their service here. The crew bent over backwards paying special attention to structural issues with existing truss system. They even adjusted a couple of trusses without extra charge just to make sure roof line was straight.

    ALLMAN ROOFING
They were quite honest, they could have given me an estimate to replace the roof but he said no we can repair that. I think they are very honest, they do good work and they have been in business for 40 some years in this area. They're good.

    Roofing and Construction Corp.
He came and did a nice presentation as to what he could do. He was very professional. He would be there every single day. He came in the morning and dropped off his people. It was a language barrier. It was their job to remove every single nail on the roof. I was personally up there with a hammer pulling the nail out of the wood. The inspection was a nightmare. Over all I ran into problems. The tiles were different colors. I stated that I want all the tiles the same colors. They told me that it was no problem, that it will all be the same color. The guys still put down the tiles. The workers do not speak English. The company was not going to do anything where they got the tiles from.  I paid him already in advance. The bottom line is I got a roof. I was there to prevent what was happening, but I could not. It may not look pretty, but the job was done correctly. He was a salesman, he had a great pitch and presentation. The quality of the workers were not good. If your workers speak Spanish and your customer only speaks English you got a problem. These are guys he picked up in a home depot parking lot. He met the terms of the contract. I give him credit for that. The appearance was not good. He claims is was not his fault. He claimed it was the tile company. No one took responsibility when things went wrong.

    MET ROOFING
Very experienced and long-established company, that provides ONLY metal roofing -they do one thing and they do it well. Surprised to be the first to mention them here on Angie's list. This spring (April/May 2014) I had an aluminum metal roof installed on my 1-story residence. Because the house is directly on salty (brackish) water, aluminum was the only way to go (otherwise rust is a major issue). I did a LOT of research before going with MET: (i) I read online roofing forum metalroofing.com and asked experts questions, (ii) I consulted with out-of-area contractors to get referrals in the north Dade area, (iii) I called the customer service of the people who manufacture the actual metal to see who they sold the most product to in SoFla, (iv) I did a sunbiz.org check to check for a long-established company (not one that goes bankrupt every few years to avoid warranties), (v) I did a myfloridalicense.com check (to ensure current licensure and complaint history), (v) I used my lawyer skills to do a search of court records to see if the companies I was interviewing had been sued in the county, and (vi) I researched the County "NOA" (notice of acceptance) for information about how the job would be installed, materials used, wind tests on the product, etc. etc. After all that background work I visited several past jobs from a "resume" that was several times larger than the competition's, and what I saw clinched it. Why so much research? I knew replacing a roof was going to be an expensive project (tens of thousands of dollars), so I had to make sure it was done right and wouldn't need to be done again: probably in the rest of my lifetime - or until my house and the rest of Florida, is under water. The job went exactly as described. Major Threlkeld (the owner) personally measured the job and prepared the quote, which really distinguished MET from the other candidates from the get-go. Major also visited multiple times during the work. The tear-off was completed in 2 days with the help of a 12-person crew and 2 dumpsters. The crew was a great group of guys - no communication issues and they got everything to the point where it was rain-safe quickly. A layer of fireproofing, a layer of "30-lb" paper, and then a few weeks to meticulously install the aluminum (which is shaped off of a roll, cut to size, and then installed by crimping the entire length of each sheet of shaped metal on the roof). Special shout-out to Lazzaro who was outstanding, and a real "artist" when it comes to metal roofing and related woodwork. I know many people in the market to get a new roof are usually not in a happy mood: there is usually an emergency: a leak, or even a roof caving in. I was fortunate to not be in such a state when I got my quotes, which was a real luxury in allowing me to do all the crazy research I described above (research which literally took months). The price I paid for the job was exactly in line with the competition, and I got the most experienced contractor for that same price. Metal costs more than tile, but has greater longevity, is more ENERGY-efficient and has offers way better wind and water protection. It also lasts longer and is less maintenance (less of that black mold tiles always get annually), so the difference in cost is easily made up over the decades-long life span. I'm happy to be added to MET's lengthy "resume" of work performed, and look forward to "converting" others away from concrete tile (which are basically hundreds of little future hurricane-projectiles on every house - metal should be mandatory and tile outlawed). As one of my neighbors said to me last week: "your roof is the envy of the neighborhood." What more can I say, except 5-stars. I would be thrilled to work with them again. However, my research leads me to believe that the roof should last a very long time, so I wanted to let others know, in case they were in the market for a new metal roof.

    Isaacs Roofing Corp
I've had problems with a leaky residential flat roof for 6 years. I even replaced it (utilizing an architect and GC to re-engineer it) at great expense and it STILL leaked. Several different roofers were unable to solve the problem. Isaacs roofing immediately diagnosed the problem and fixed it; it hasn't leaked since (about a year now). Job came in under the estimated cost. Very professional; I would very highly recommend.

    TerraVenti Construction Inc
The whole TerraVenti Construction team was great to work with. They were honest, professional and dependable from the estimate to demolition to clean up.  They remodeled our master bath and kitchen. For the bathroom we redid our shower and two vanity tops. For the kitchen, we replaced our countertops, added backsplash, added an island, redid electrical for new appliances and lighting. We got what we wanted with no delay.

The price was fair, they showed up as scheduled and cleaned up very well every day. They were easy to work with and were very patient with our questions. We did a lot of communicating via text and they were very responsive.

I find TerraVenti easy to work with.  The owner is very thoughtful and direct when doing business. The employees are kind and thorough with their work.

We would definitely recommend this company if you are planning a kitchen or bathroom remodel.
