MD Now is just like one of those clinics that you go to and they do whatever you want. They have good hours and I think that they are open 365 days a year. They are just always there. They have medical and emergency doctors. It is easy to get in there when you need a doctor. The office environment there is fine and it is convenient to use them.

I was in the hospital with pneumonia (for teh 14th time in 3 years), and they also thought I had tuberculosis - which was a  misdiagnosis.  Since I did not have a personal internist, Dr. Jaffe was appointed by the hospital to be my internist while in the hospital.  After my release, I started seeing Dr. Jaffe on a regular basis.  First of all, his nurse, Jennifer, was wonderful.  She took so much time to research my symptoms on the internet, and was just extremely concerned and caring.  Considering the fact that I just got disability, and have no money, she gave me a month's supply of a very expensive medication I was taking.  My second visit, Dr. Jaffe diagnosed my problem, and I was very upset with the diagnosis.  However, Dr. Jaffe spent probably 45 minutes with me explaining the diagnosis and explaining the treatment plan I was to follow, in addition to consoling and encouraging me.  I followed his plan, and I was out of bed the entire week - for the first time in three years.

He's a terrific internist. He's saved my life more than once. I met him when I was hospitalized for months and really close to death's door. They had 5 specialists working on me and he supervised the other docs, I call him my general contractor doctor. He coordinated everything, he is the one that knew what everyone was doing so no one accidentally killed me in the hospital. He recently performed that service for me again recently. I have a disease that is causing hair loss. In this kind of situation you rarely know the real cause and you've got to try a variety of treatments to see what will work with the individual patient. I initially went to a dermatologist who put me on powerful drugs with potentially dangerous side effects. I went to my internist and told him I was taking medicine for an illness that I'm not sure I have, don't you think we shold test for that. He said I certainly do let's go ahead and do that and by the way maybe you'd like to get a second opinion from the dermatologist my family and I use. So he sent me over there and I decided to make a change. Then he had me do a consultation with some hot shot dermatologist in the Univeristy of Miami who spent a half a minute with me and prescribed very, very powerful drugs that are primarily used for patients who have had transplants. They, too, have enormous potentially dangerous side effects. I was going back to my internist and he looked at that and said this show isn't worth the price of the ticket. He said it's your life and I'm your advisor and the dangers associated with this kind of treatment far exceed the difficulties of hair loss and I think you need to take a day and decide if you want to take on these risks. I decided not to take on these risks and continued with another series of treatments which included antibiotics. Its' a long shot that only works for 10%-15% of the patients but it worked out for me. So there is a doctor who is really paying attention and doing exactly what I wanted him to do.

He takes care of me and my wife. We both have pacemakers. He is very friendly and efficient. He really keeps track of us, and we enjoy being his friends and his patients. I'm not saying these nice things because we are friends. He is a good doctor.

She takes the time to listen and evaluate everything you tell her; she gets to know you so she can find out what is going on. She took the time to learn that I?m a glass artist and that I may be getting metals in my lungs.

He was impersonal, inattentive, rude. Abruptly left room, and instead of returning as stated, sent in office assistant who dismissed me. Office manager also was rude and condescending.
